I was trying to get lunch during the Tam High lunch rush, which is usually very difficult. I didn't want to wait in a long line at Starbucks so I went to Juice Girl next door, not expecting much. I ordered an Avocado Toast and, even though they didn't serve traditional coffee drinks, the nice cashier offered me a cold brew. I was expecting the standard bland avocado toast, but I was pleasantly mistaken! I don't exaggerate when I say that this is the best avocado toast I have ever eaten. It is fully loaded and worth the price! This is a great stop-and-go spot for a drink and a bite. It's got one good wooden table for hanging out. We stopped into Juice Girl after a hike in the Marin Headlands and found it completely empty. The interior was on the smaller side, with minimal decor and seating. I chose the Hannah Banana smoothie off the "Signature Smoothies" menu, which only came in a 16 oz size. It tasted healthy in a good way, and was green from the kale and spinach. My friends enjoyed their smoothies as well, including the Mango Mania and Tropical Treat. The girl at the counter was friendly and gave a little peanut butter treat to my dog. Visited today to pick up a tuna melt as well as an everything avocado open faced sandwich, mango mania smoothie with collagen peptides and a clean green juice. The people who greeted us were very friendly and welcoming. The place is cozy and inviting. Also ordered pupcakes for my doggies. I appreciate they have eco-friendly packaging. I stopped in here on a whim and loved it! It's so nice to be able to find a place with simple ingredients and healthy, delicious options. I had the Sail Away smoothie which was delicious. The service was great and the staff members were super friendly. It's a pretty small store so not too much room to sit and enjoy your meal/drink, but we needed to take ours to go anyway so it was no problem. Love the grab-and-go offerings, which are helpful when you're in a hurry. I didn't catch her name, but the staff person working was friendly, albeit maybe slightly distracted as she was probably thinking about closing duties to get out of work on time --- which is totally understandable! I was bummed because I wanted to spend more time dining inside with a friend after work. Yelp hours state closure at 5pm while Google Maps stated closure at 4:30pm. I called the shop to double check closing time, but there was no answer and the voicemail stated closure at 6pm. Got there a little after 4 only to learn that winter closing hours are 4:30! Please update your hours on Yelp and in your voicemail :) Would like to come back and have an actual eat-in experience, but maybe in the spring or summer when Juice Girl is open longer. Was looking for some local breakfast to start off a weekend trip and stumbled upon high ratings for Juice Girl, so we gave it a try! We ordered via phone and came to pick up in the brightly lit, casual-comfy store. Acai bowls were good with generous portions and loaded with healthy ingredients and flavors. We tried one original Fruit Bowl which was definitely sweeter, complemented by banana and honey, and the Green Bowl which definitely felt more "health-food-y" with kale in the base and things such as flax seeds, goji berries, and raw almonds on top. It was interesting that they were served in compostable cardboard-y bowls, which was eco friendly but left me wondering if the bowls would get soggy. Thankfully they didn't when we ate them soon after purchase! The one experience that wasn't so pleasant was being a little surprised at the price of the bowls. The prices displayed on the signage ($10 for the Fruit bowl and $11 for the Green Bowl) were not the prices we were charged by the employee working the cashier ($11 for the Fruit Bowl and $12.50 for the Green Bowl). When asked, he said that they'd forgotten to update the signage. I don't mind paying for purchases, especially as the prices still felt quite reasonable, but would prefer that prices are clearly and consistently marked so the customer feels like things are fairly done. It really should only take a minute or two to tape updated prices up. read more

I used to love this place. The smoothie bowls are great, however, lately they have been premaking them and putting them in the fridge. The granola becomes soggy and it's just very rushed. They haven't tasted the same. Also, I saw this one woman working there with dirty, gardener fingers, manhandling the avocado before it went on the avocado toast. Keep in mind she had a crazy amount of dirt under her fingernails. Please wear gloves because it is very unsanitary. Yummy, fresh, and incredibly healthy. These guys are lightning fast at preparing everything. They have a unique selection that includes dosa chips and my favorite, Marin Kombucha. Marin Kombucha is my version of crack and I make a mental note of every establishment that offers it. I sometimes buy it by the case! Their smoothies are excellent and they are happy to make additions and omissions based on your taste. The ambiance is eclectic and unique, with local artists work on display and available for purchase. It seems they offer a lot of items from local artisans in general. Everything about this place screams healthy and fresh! I went for the Green Bowl ($6.75) over the Acai Bowl ($6.75) because I don't like bananas. The price for the bowls were very reasonable and totally worth it. The green bowl consisted of almond milk, coconut water, blueberry, strawberry, mango, and kale topped with housemade granola, berries, almonds, flax seeds, coconut flakes, and goji berries. It has a natural sweetness from the fruits and was very well balanced. This was such a delicious way to finish my hike. I'm definitely making this a stop after all my hikes in North Bay! read more
