Peanut butter acai bowl was great, super smooth and tasty but the regular standard one was a little icy and not my favorite. The fruit and granola were fresh and tasty (I've had stale granola before from acai places so always skeptical). Portions sizes for the "baby" are large enough for one person and at $8, its pretty reasonable. The serving bowls are cute and the outdoor seating in the back is nice. The bowls were delicious but as soon as we sat down a man in a blue bike suit who presumably was the owner or manager started loudly and aggressively chastising the teenage staff who were doing a good job being nice and taking care of the guests. It made the atmosphere very hostile and I felt bad for the workers. As someone who has been a manager for younger people in food service, there is a respectful way to correct mistakes, especially in front of your customers. My 13 year old daughter went inside the restaurant by herself to get an acai bowl. While I waited the owner came out the back door looked at my tesla and then went and commented rudely to my daughter about it, saying he hoped she spilled it all over the car. The owner is rude. After coming to his place weekly for a year, one day he decided to mutter under his breath, "You get a bigger bowl if you tip for it". I had tipped him but apparently it was not enough. Mind you this is at a place where you have to stand at the counter to order. There is no extra service. I then asked him what he said and he said, "Do you like this song"? He lied and back pedaled. Also, you cannot rely on the hours. He cruises in to open whenever he feels like it. I've come many times 30 minutes or even 60 minutes after the alleged hours only to find it closed. It's a shame, because the food is good. I am really in love with this place, it reminds me of an açaí surf shack back home -- such a vibe. Juicy fresh gorgeous berries and creamy, delicious açaí that is pure medicine. It's just relatively close to my work and I get bowls for my lunch breaks. I've personally been to every single açaí bowl place in the area and nothing tops it. I only came here once almost ten years ago when my partner lived in larkspur, and I still talk about this place. the owner is friendly, cares about his food and customers, and generally has curated an amazing spot to eat and drink and hang out. the stand out experience for me was the chai he served: it was spicy, not chalky or made from a mix or powder, fresh, and it has absolutely ruined me. nothing lives up to that chai and I fear nothing ever will. I have never had an açaí bowl so tasteless and dissatisfying... but I wasn't going to comment until I pull out of the bowl what looks like a worm. I don't know if it's a worm or not it might be fibers from one of the fruits and I'm not not going to accuse them of anything until I have proof, but the bowl was also really not good at all. I don't think there was an ounce of fresh fruit in there. Even the blueberries were old. I'll definitely be throwing the rest away. I just don't know what this would be? The bowls are not made fresh so prepare to see a tub of the mix being dumped into your bowl. The girl working there was beautiful and sweet. The dog is cute. Here at Mana Bowls, it seems they thin their açaí with juice but to a consistency that is both runny and, to my taste buds, unpleasant. The menu is dense with offerings and the acai bowl I got ($12, regular size) included berries, banana, granola, coconut, and honey, all of which I was grateful for because every time my spoon hit that açaí on its own the resulting spoonful did not bring joy. i never write reviews for places but was kinda shocked about my mana bowl experience...i walked in at about 1pm today and the person working was cutting strawberries for another order and gave me a second to think about what i wanted before i ordered. when i was ready to order he turned around with his red and dripping strawberry hands and took my order. with the same hands (that were still red and dripping mind you) took my cash and gave me change out of the register and my change (which was cash) was handed to me damp with red fingerprints from the strawberries. after that, he splashed his fingers with water for maybe 2 seconds and continued on with the strawberries for whoever's order was before mine. splashed his hands under water again before working on my açaí bowl. so weird and gross and they have the audacity to have this sign up for all to see: read more

This is my favorite place to get mana/acai bowls in Marin County. The granola is good and not too sugary tasting, the fruit is fresh, and the employees are usually very friendly. I always go for the fruity flavors, but they have options with peanut butter and chocolate if you're into that. One complaint I do have is that they are not the most reliable. I've shown up an hour after they were supposed to be open and no one was there yet. Moreover, sometimes they are out of some things on the menu, but that is common with any place and I love most of their bowls so it's not a big deal. Lastly, they raised their prices so it's pretty expensive. However, I definitely think it's worth the money and I treat it as a full meal, not just a snack. The first time a came here a few years ago I got a classic açaí bowl, I came back for the first time today and had the worst experience. I spent $15 on a room temperature Yerba mate and a watery smoothie that also was room temperature. Granted it was a hot day, but frozen fruit should be cold...? The water jug was practically empty and the water in it tasted weird and tainted my water bottle. The person working ignored us when we walked in and didn't help me and my friend until we asked. She didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed mine, because she realized that she didn't have mangoes and dark chocolate chips in hers. I am so glad that this place finally opened up! Located in Fairfax, Mana Bowls serves health,y generous portions of a type of Acai sorbet with granola, fruit, and really just anything. There is a menu full of different types you can choose from, and you can also choose your own toppings. Since it was my first time, I asked what looked like the manager, what the most popular order was. He replied with either the Surf Bowl, or Cataract Falls. I went with the Surf Bowl in a medium size. In the bowl was a type of Acai sorbet, granola, bananas, shredded coconut, & kiwi. There might have been more but I think that's it! It was probably one of the most amazing things I have ever eaten. The Acai was so fresh and the fruit was amazing. I loved how the granola added a little crunch to my bowl. After eating, I was full and satisfied. I was not hungry for dinner afterward (this is very filling, you could have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner)! My mom got the Cataract Falls, which I believe is the same as the Surf Bowl, just a little less sweet with Dragonfruit mixed into the Acai sorbet. I tried some of hers, and it was amazing! The people that work here are friendly, and willing to help. The ambiance is laid back and joyful. I highly recommend Mana Bowls! Just stopped in, 2pm on a Wednesday. I, my husband and brother wanted a healthy treat after a hike in West marin. There was a worker working, making a bowl for another customer. I get it-- making healthy fruit bowls takes time, but this woman didn't even turn around to acknowledge us upon entering and continued her conversation with the other customer. When she finally did turn around to say hello she looked the three of us up and down and said, "wow there are a lot of people here today" rolled her eyes, turned the music up on the radio. We waited awkwardly about 15 minutes, but when she didn't even bother to apologize for the delay or chat with us, we just left. This place is so overpriced and full of themselves.
