I've been coming to this Mendocino Farms about three times a week since they opened and it has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat on my lunch break. The food is consistently fresh, the sandwiches are excellent, and the fresh juices are some of my favorites. What really sets this location apart is the customer service. Every member of the staff is welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful, and the manager always goes above and beyond to make sure guests have a great experience assisting wherever he can. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do and it is directly reflected in the yummy food I get to eat frequently! I love the turkey avocado verde, the not so fried chicken sandwich, chicken pesto caprese, the farm club and the potato salad! I can't stand a dry sandwich and these are all so perfectly curated where I say mmm this is good every time. The restaurant is always clean, including the bathrooms, and the overall atmosphere is inviting. I'm so glad Mendocino Farms became part of this shopping center as it has been a fantastic addition to our community. I look forward to continuing to support them for years to come. If the crowd of folks dining in or queuing for take-out here is any indicator, Marin County's prayers have finally been answered: at last, we have a Mendocino Farms outpost. On a Saturday afternoon this meant that I ordered and paid quickly then waited. And waited. And waited. I wasn't actually timing my wait but I know I read a few chapters in my book and thought seriously about canceling my order altogether before it finally arrived. This is not to imply that the staff here is doing anything other than a great job; they have a lot of workers AND a lot of customers. I've never had to wait so long for an order at any Mendocino Farms I've been to in the past. Delicious salads are the reason I enjoy Mendocino Farms and their current "Seasonal GOAT" qualifies. I enjoyed this salad months ago in their Berkeley outlet but here they'd sliced the chicken so micro-thin that it neither tasted like nor looked like chicken. It's a delicious salad but in this iteration, the chicken was not delicious or appealing. I'm new to Mendocino Farms, but I love the idea. In theory. In a pricey town like Mill Valley, good salads and sandwiches for $20 or less are a great value, and I appreciate having another grab and go lunch/dinner option. I've been here three times and tried: the Chinese Chicken Salad, the seasonal BLT with heirloom tomatoes, and the seasonal peach, goat cheese, and chicken salad. I noticed they post their calorie count on their menu, which is helpful, and items (sandwiches and salads) seem to average 700-800 calories. My heirloom BLT was the standout, the tomatoes were excellent. But I was disappointed by the chicken on both salads. It was sliced so thin it looked more like luncheon meat, than roasted chicken. I asked an employee what kind of chicken they use, and he said he would find out. The restaurant was nearly empty, but he never came back with an answer. The greens are fresh, but similar to bagged salads I've grabbed at the local supermarket. The one restroom was out of paper, so it feels like they are still working through some opening kinks. There's plenty of potential here, and I appreciate M.F. has its dedicated fans, but I'm still feeling my way and right now have it slotted in the same category as Mixt, another salad chain with a Mill Valley location. read more

So glad we have a MF close to us now! I've loved it since our SoCal days when we had one very close to home, and got take out at least every other week or so. Other than a blip with ordering (a very green employee pulled the guy behind us up to order-wait what?!), we enjoyed our meal. Clean shop, good food quality. Will be back again. read more

What can I say about Medocino Farms, the food is very good, you get what you paid for. The ingredients taste really fresh. I had two sandwiches, the not so fried chicken sandwich and the Peruvian steak. Both are my go to. The spread is on point. The place is bright and very inviting with outdoor seating on nice weather days. The staff are very informative and friendly. For being so new I hope they keep that positive vibe going for many years to come. I have to try their salads next. read more

First time brand experience - party of 3 ordered 3 different half sandwiches (Not so Fried Chicken, the Farm Club, and the Turkey Avo Salsa Verde) with 3 different sides (spicy couscous, kale rainbow salad and lemon chicken farro soup) - all were delicious and we would return for same. Salads looked amazing as well but too large for me, I would order dressing on side and take half home with me. Did not order drinks but only because I drink plain water, nice to have option. Clean, spacious both indoors and out. Counter order and prompt service to table when dishes are ready. Parking is also easy in the big shopping center lot. The Happy Hippie sandwich is soooo good! It's vegetarian has beets white cheddar hummus sprouts and avocado! I order it on a ciabatta roll. My hubby enjoys the mango Thai salad with noodles. This a new store and I expected it to be as good as the other stores in the chain. I have ordered about ten meals over several days. Most orders are screwed up, or lost by the young and poorly trained staff. The ambiance is terrible, with minimal investment in art. There are better choices inMillValley, like Mixed. Very disappointed with this new store. Very expensive, so I expect higher standards. read more

I have had Mendocino Farms small bites at Yelp Events and enjoyed them, so was happy to see that a Mill Valley location was opening near my home. We ordered via the app for takeout, I got the GOAT salad (chicken, citrus, goat cheese, mint - it was nice & balanced) and my partner got the green goddess wrap, both were yummy. I was so happy when I saw they opened one here! Beautiful spot and the workers were super friendly, loved how they walked me through the menu and told me about their new specials. I placed two orders of their large foodie off the catering menu to be delivered. One star off because a couple of mishaps - firstly, the delivery time was off, and secondly, the delivered order was missing a set of sandwiches. These mishaps were rectified quickly. The manager was very accommodating, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. I can't speak of ambiance since my experience was through delivery. It was a pre-made salad served ice cold as though it was made yesterday, stored in the fridge and served on demand. I might as well have gone next-door to Whole Foods and purchased a packaged salad from the deli section. It probably would have tasted better. At the Mendocino Farms restaurants I've been to in Southern California, you select your ingredients and they make a fresh salad with fluffy lettuce and crisp ingredients right in front of you. First time here - they were having issues with their systems but they were working really hard talking to people and trying to help everyone by letting them know their time.
