Cute area to walk around, stop by shops and grab coffee or food. Coming from Los Angeles, I loved how peaceful it is here. The air is so clean, life is so much slower, and I could sit for a whole afternoon with coffee enjoying myself. This is a must stop in Mill Valley.

Nice middle of the road marketplace with clothing and eateries. Nice outdoor space for humans and pets to enjoy the view of Mt Tams.

The quaintest shopping center in the quaintest town. This historic lumber yard turned outdoor shopping center is a great place to spend a few hours. Grab a bite to eat and browse the shops surrounded by the redwoods. My favorite spots are Flourcraft Bakery (delicious, gluten free baked goods) and the Makers Mart. Bonus: The Lumber Yard is located right next to downtown Mill Valley and Old Mill Park. On weekends, there's sometimes live music.

    I think it's called a dark ale.

Great atmosphere and great beers at a restaurant that I can not remember the name of. Just an all around great place.

Beautiful location but the pastry shop is a disaster. We ordered the avocado toast with egg and it was the saddest looking dish I've ever seen. The toast tasted like cardboard. The whole dish was so bland. We also ordered the pound cake, the almond scone and the vegan donut. All average. We had to wait in line to order, then they buzz you to go pick up your food, then you have to go bus the dishes away and they have the audacity to ask for a tip? For doing what, you should be tipping me at this point. Go for the location and walk around the stores but maybe just get coffee from their pastry shop.

Cutest place ever! Loved the shops, the vibe, the food, the free parking! Will def be back!

Such a great little spot in Mill Valley, the restaurant in the center had a great selection of beers and their burger was delicious! A lot of seating and very dog friendly Unfortunately a lot of shops are closed or may have closed early due to COVID. Hoping everything opens up soon but plan to go early if you're looking to browse.

Because it has…read moreeverything I need: a grocery store/pharmacy, coffee (not just 1, but 2 Starbucks locations), a bagel house; and plenty of family-friendly dining options (Harmony Restaurant, Thep Lela, Pizza Antica, Whisk + Skillet, etc.). They also have more fast casual spots for a quick meal to go, such as In 'N Out Burger, High Tech Burrito, and Parranga. They have an Orange Theory Fitness center, a Woodland's Pet Store, as well as a AAA location (for all my automotive/DMV needs). Over the years, they've done a really nice job of landscaping the property. There are plenty of palm trees and outdoor seating areas (which is especially convenient now during this Covid craziness). The shopping center is always clean. Seldom will you find litter or debris on the ground. In the past few year, more upscale shops have opened their doors to appease the local Soccer moms, including Spanish Table, West Elm, Lavande Nail Spa, and Athleta. You certainly won't find a Target, Panda Express or $1 Store in this mall. Welcome to Mill Valley, folks. Although Strawberry Village continues to expand its vendor portfolio and spruce itself up, my favorite thing about this mall is the smaller businesses who have been there for years. I'm talking about the old shoe/watch repair store, the copy shop, the camera store, and Arch Rival (which continues to sell sporting goods and shoes). Even in this Amazon home delivery world, these businesses continue to survive, and I'm happy to support them. * If you're a dog owner, I'll let you in on a little secret. The Strawberry Village is a great place to walk the pooch when it's raining because of all the covered outdoor areas.

The center is very kid and dog friendly and there are lots of areas and activities for kids to explore and enjoy. It is also clean. The reason for one star off: there is a vibe that all of us felt, and others have said the same thing about the shopkeepers and some staff. I was wearing a top from one of the stores and jeans from another shop there. I popped into each store and was ignored by everyone in the first place and watched as if I might shoplift in the other store. I had only my phone in my pocket and no bag at all. It was uncomfortable-making and I left both stores, which were understandably empty. The place is delightful as a location for walking around with kids and dogs. Lots of food options. After Bell Market closed, the space sat empty for years. And without a supermarket to anchor the shopping center, the Cove fell off people's radars. There was practically tumbleweed blowing in the empty parking lot. Fortunately, Paradise Foods moved in to the abandoned market a year ago, and Tiburon finally has a new grocery store (and a damn good one at that). Ever since Paradise opened its doors, it's like the Cove has turned over a new leaf. There's now a Peet's Coffee where all the soccer moms and telecommuters like to congregate. And you can still find a number of longstanding businesses, including: a florist, Sweet Things Bakery, Foodniks Deli, Milano's Restaurant, Marin Dry Cleaners, Champagne Salon, a Physical Therapy studio, and a UPS Store. So there's definitely a reason to visit this shopping center again. And it's nice to see cars and people in the parking lot again. My only gripe with the Cove is its lack of dining options. All you really have are Milano's for Italian food and Foodnik's for deli sandwiches and salads. It would be nice to have more variety. Also, Paradise Foods closes at 9pm. So if you need to pick up anything at the store (from wine to toilet paper) in the evening, you're pretty much S.O.L. You'll have better luck at Safeway at the Strawberry Village a few miles down the road. All in all, I'm glad to see the Cove coming back from the dead. With a few new shops & restaurants, and maybe a new coat of paint, this place could once again become a shopping/dining destination.

I won't pretend that Carolina was ever a place for a bargain - it's always been a high end store with items that would be considered splurges or even out of the range of possibility (for the majority of people). In the last year, the prices have skyrocketed. What used to be the highest priced item is now the norm. $600 sweaters, $800 slip dresses, etc. Listen I get it, it's Mill Valley and an increasingly wealthier demographic with inflation being insane. But also, this sucks? Your prices have literally doubled. What once felt like an occasional shopping treat now just feels alienating and over the top.
