On our way to a concert I asked hubby to seek out a juice bar for me along the way. After a snack stop he found this spot which was not too far from where we had a snack. This place is located in a very busy strip mall. The parking is plentiful. Once you walk in you are greeted. In front at the counter you will find a menu with an array of drink options. The staff was eager to help and take the order. I just needed a few minutes to decide what stuck out to me flavor wise. Although a lot of the drinks sounded soooooo delicious I went for, The Tumeric. This drink is a plant-based smoothie. It contains tumeric, pineapple, arrow, banana, apple and ginger. The drink was handed to me in a couple of minutes. The drink was pretty in color. A sherbet kind of color, that screamed it's still summer! Anyway the drink was very good! I wouldn't have mind a little more ginger but still a very flavorful drink. The store offers snacks and alsohas some seating inside. The store is small in size but is clean. The staff is friendly and quick with the orders. 2 stars -- and honestly, that's generous. Fresh orange juice is very important to me. I have four Sunkist orange trees and a large blood orange tree that has produced hundreds of oranges every year for nearly 20 years. I know what fresh-squeezed orange juice tastes like. Before ordering, I called and specifically asked whether the orange juice was made by squeezing fresh oranges. A man who sounded like a manager said yes. Because I wanted to be absolutely certain, I had my husband ask again when he went to pick up the order. He even had me speak directly with an employee, who again confirmed that the OJ was from fresh oranges. I reluctantly agreed to add strawberry, after being told that the strawberry was a juice/syrup rather than fresh or frozen fruit. I assumed it would simply be a small flavoring addition to fresh OJ. Instead, what we received was orange juice poured from a gallon container mixed with strawberry syrup from another gallon. The result was a strange-tasting concoction that I would never have ordered had I been told the truth. I paid about $10 for something I did not want, and my husband drove there for nothing. Since I specifically asked multiple times about the fresh orange juice, this felt like a bait-and-switch and, frankly, very disrespectful. Businesses should understand that honesty builds trust, while misleading customers destroys it. I would much rather hear the truth about what I'm buying than be told what I want to hear just to make a sale. read more

Smoothie consistency is not consistent, and customer service could use some work.. there is a young worker here who I used to see often. That person is rude and not pleasant at all. It's off putting and is the main reason I have not come back here. The ginger shots here are also very watered down. I wouldn't recommend. First time here to get my 91 year old mom a smoothie since she is "never hungry" ha! Spoke with Paul the owner and he told me how difficult having this sort of business is because they rely on hot weather to bring in customers and living in Huntington Beach it never really gets too hot and the sun never makes an appearance early until late July early August. Said he opened in Phoenix and it was too hot there and people didn't want to come out of their homes. Paul said with minimum wage being $20 an hour it's difficult as well because he has to adjust his prices accordingly. I love Juice It Up! Not sure if I have a favorite, they're all good but I usually get Ever Green or Strawberry Wave. Last week they released their limited-time summer Sandía Loca and Strawberry Lemonade Twist Smoothies so I tried them. Both are so refreshing but the Sandía Loca is my favorite, I love anything with watermelon. I would go out of my way to come here. Strawberry Wave is sweet but not overly sweet, which I love. Ever Green is tarty, which I also love. When I'm with my boyfriend, we like to get one of each and switch off, you get the best of both worlds! Sandía Loca has Tajin in it so it tastes like a watermelon Tajin candy, I love it! It's tangy, salty and barely spicy. Strawberry Lemonade Twist is delicious and refreshing, you taste strawberry and lemonade! Small is a good size for me but if I'm really craving a smoothie, sometimes I'll get a Medium. I've always liked coming here more than Jamba Juice. I think it's because the drinks here are sweeter whereas the drinks at Jamba are tangier and a bit too sour to my liking, although still good. They are located in a shopping plaza with a large free parking lot, I had no issues finding parking. I called ahead to place an order for pick up, took me 5 minutes to drive there and it was ready when I came to pick it up! The service is friendly. They have a couple of tables inside and outside if you want to sit and hang out. Inside and outside is casual but modern, love that the walls inside are green, my favorite color! Price is very fair, it doesn't seem like prices have gone up too much with inflation. Another thing that's nice is that it's relatively healthy, especially if you get a small, split a medium/large with someone or just save half for later. It's a good way to get in your fruits and vegetables if you're not a huge fruit/vegetable eater. You just have to keep in mind of the amount of sugar/calories in one drink/bowl and don't over consume since it's easy to do. read more

From the app, you can order for pick up now or pick up at a later time. For some reason, the now option shows 25 minutes which is pretty long to make a smoothie. I ordered the Chili Lime Mango smoothie. Got to the store. It's located in a strip mall next to Skaters Bros. Lots of parking. My order was ready early being chilled in a refrigerator until I got there. I didn't think it would take 25 min to make a smoothie. I've had chili mango before and they're typically super sweet. This one was more tart (the lime). It did have a kick to it but not in a spicy way but tasted like there was lemon grass in it (if that makes any sense). Either way, it was really good. Pass this place many times but never really gave it a try until today. My daughter wanted juice so we decided to stop by and grabbed a cup. Place was clean which is good! The workers doesn't know how to smile. When our juice was done , it was just left at the counter. We had to look to see if it was what we ordered. Walked outside my daughter took a sip and she started to spit and grabbed something off her tongue. It was a piece of metal wire of some sort! We stopped by for a quick açaí bowl and juice when we were in the neighborhood and I noticed their shop. I don't love the taste of the water in Southern California so I was really thankful to get my first (non alcoholic) big beverage in several days. I like that we were able to pick the toppings for the açaí bowl because that's usually not an option in the Seattle area. It wasn't the best açaí bowl I've ever had but it was pretty enjoyable and easy to share with my husband.
