It is walking distance from the beach. They offer different types of smoothies and bowls. I ordered the large Maui Sunrise bowl and the portions were filling for two people. The fruit tasted fresh and firm. The coconut was toasty and delicious. This was a nice treat! The location is small but they do have a few inside or outside seating. There is no AC so it may be better to sit outside. I'm from Arizona so I am use to AC being offered everywhere. We did visit in August as well so that's on us and the weather. The service was quick and the staff were pleasant. My sister recommended this place and she has been coming for a few years when she is visiting. read more

Breaking news: they no longer split the bowls for a small cost! I was sad for about 5 seconds, until I was excited to have my own small bowl to myself. Maui Sunrise has ALWAYS been my go-to, but I know the last açaí bowl on the bottom on the menu (the most Expensive) is the most popular! If there's a line, prepare to wait, but it's worth the wait. OVERALL : Banzai has been one of my favorite (top 2!) acai places in the area. They have several locations around OC, and they're always busy for a good reason! Their shops are small and no-frills, but I love taking it to go and eating it outdoors. They specialize in acai bowls and smoothies. The menu is preset where their bowls already include specific toppings, rather than "chipotle-style" where you go down the assembly line and add toppings. However, they do offer customizations and additions to your bowl! Everything is made to order and so delicious. You can order ahead on the app to save time. PARKING : Street parking in front of the shop as well as all-around on the other side streets nearby. We haven't had too much of an issue parking nearby and walking over even if there isn't a big designated lot. FOOD/DRINKS : Banzai Bowl - Your choice of hemp milk or apple juice with açaí, strawberries, bananas, and papaya. Topped with granola, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, bee pollen, coconut shreds, and honey. Love the creaminess that the hemp milk adds. The large size is huge! Definitely shareable. I don't get this girl's deal. Hate your job? Hate Asians? Banzai Bowls usually tastes great, but the wait is always so long. When we came we were the only customers, after about 10 minutes, more people came in and waited. I have been coming to the HB store since it opened. Back when pataya wasn't even on the menu. Prior to that 17th St and even went to the store to have a bowl.at the north shore. Slowly the quality has gone down. More wrong orders than right. Now when I ordered a large and was given a small I said I got the wrong size. I was told it could be remade but would be the same size. I was told all my 100's of other bowls were made wrong and new people must have given me too much granola. What always set banzai apart was their large was always bigger than the competition.
