No one expects airport food to be a good value, but gee whiz! $8 for a 12 oz smoothie! A further kick in the pants, there was no nuance or depth of flavor to this smoothie. I'm accustomed to Açaí bowls having fresh fruit on top. The granola was good though! My biggest problem was The base was so watery! It tasted good, but it wasn't even as thick as a smoothie, which would still be thinner than most açaí bowls. The granola all sank in and I ended up drinking it from the bowl. I fly into Austin very frequently and recently saw Juice Land. After passing it a few times I stopped in to read the menu. After reading the menu Billy Beard took over 15 minutes to educate me on the flavors and mixes and options. Answering all of my questions and taking the time to help me understand the menu. I ended up with the Peachy Green soothie. Oh my GOSH!!!! 100% whole fruit and veggies in a delicious drink format = HOOKED! I commit to getting one of these every time I am at the airport! Yesterday as I trudged through the airport with my crew toward a double redeye out of Austin  (which wasn't getting us back till 6am) we stopped at the AUS airport @JuiceLand to browse the menu. Where we were met by Billy Beard (yes that is his real name and yes he had a real beard) This awesome dude hooked us up with just what we need to get through our night. He gave us the run down of all his product, gave us suggestions for our specific needs, samples of his favorites, and made sure we were more than ready for our flight out and our return flight back to Austin. Billy Beard not only gave us a boost in physical immunity and energy, but this guy boosted our spirits too. We felt like queens strolling through the airport. BILLY BEARD IS THE BOMB! Not sure why this Juiceland would decide it's a good idea to only have sweetened almond milk. My smoothie is sickly sweet and frankly, disgusting. Please just be like every other JuiceLand and offer unsweetened almond milk and stop turning in Jamba Juice. read more

EDIT: after bringing my experience to the attention of the staff, they offered to exchange my smoothie for one of the only non-banana options on the menu. If there is one thing this location does have, it is good service on the level I have come to expect from JuiceLand: kind, caring, and timely. Upgraded to 3 stars. ----- I love JuiceLand. I'm such a JuiceLand fan that on my first trip to Austin, I bought a JuiceLand shirt that I frequently wear. I have never been anything but disappointed with the airport location. I can accept a limited menu, but the smoothies offered here are an affront to the good JuiceLand name. Unless you have an undying love of banana, stay away from any of the smoothies that contain banana--which is almost all of them. It might say "Pitaya Party", but all you will taste is banana. It is impossible to discern any other flavor but the undying banana. I have had smoothies containing banana before without encountering this problem. This has happened to me with multiple smoothies, only at this location. I feel pretty scammed after ordering an $11 smoothie advertised as primarily tropical fruit only to receive a concoction that must be at least 60% banana, a food that costs mere cents per pound. It's also worth noting that these smoothies are not freshly made to order, at least from what I've seen. They make a bunch of smoothies at once and stash them in a fridge behind the counter, a practice I find antithetical to JuiceLand's prescribed values. I get that the airport pushes resources to the limits, but I have trouble recognizing this store as a real example of JuiceLand product. They should rename this location BananaLand. read more

I'm a regular juiceland customer, and I really don't want to do this, but I've been here at the airport location a few times and tried to give them another shot or two before posting this review. The ingredients here are poor and the selection is limited. They should retire their "açaí" bowl, it's one of the worst I've tasted in a long time. I had it twice and I thought the second time I could modify it to make it better but no go. The first time I came I ordered and wundershowzen and asked for a almond butter substitute which they apparently gave me. Second time around I asked for the same thing and they said they don't have almond butter. Don't know what happened there but I think some one slipped a fast one last time. I hope they can up their game to the standard of every juiceland I have ever been to. Sadly there aren't a lot of fresh options in the airport and they have a shot here at being the best thing in the airport. Come on guys! read more
