I'm usually stuck eating a cold salad with items removed. Mad Greens provided a warm food option, and the southwest bowl was full of flavor. The cilantro chili lime dressing and roasted corn added nice contrasts to the cool avocado and spinach. I am so glad Mad Greens is an ABIA option now. Service was amazing. I had 3 on the register, 1 to prepare a seasonal ORCHARD SALAD with lots of very crunchy GREENS, FUJI APPLE, CRANBERRIES, GOAT CHZ, and candied PECANS - BALSAMIC dressing is customizable (light, medium, heavy) and the menu is navigable for allergies. I ordered the Orchard salad, but the menu was so far that I didn't notice that there was chicken in it. The croutons are incredible! Like herbed and toasted focaccia bread - yum! Tried MAD greens at the Austin airport and had a surprisingly great airport meal. I ordered the southwest bowl but had to get regular grilled chicken as they were out of southwest chicken. The bowl was very tasty but I wish it had more greens. My husband ordered a Buddha bowl and it was also very good. The tofu wasn't extraordinary but given that it was prepared at an airport in Texas, I found it to be decent with a good sauce on top. I'd happily eat either bowl again. read more

I ordered the BBQ Bowl Salad, and overall it was just average. The ingredients seemed decent, and the flavor was okay, but the way it was put together made the dish less enjoyable. The salad on top was extremely cold, and because it was placed directly over the rice and chicken, it cooled down the entire bowl. Employees here are the worst. They are dead in the eyes, can't give any recommendation considering many ppl trying it for the first time. They look like they don't even want to come to work. The food was okay but the grilled chicken seems like fake Starbucks chicken that's going to give you a stomachache (which it did later). Another great experience with Mad Greens! I had an odd crazing for a salad for breakfast and so Mad Greens was the perfect option while traveling. I was able to customize their Ty Cobb salad to exclude chicken and bacon and include tofu and spicy pumpkin seeds. The young lady at the cash register was super helpful and even offered to add in tofu since I asked for the meat to be taken out but didn't ask for tofu myself. It was a team of about five women working, didn't particularly recognize them or catch any names. I couldn't tell who was in charge, but none of them seemed to care how slow things were moving. When it was finally my turn, I ordered a "Ty Cobb as it comes with regular dressing." Apparently that was too much information, because instead of just ringing it in, we went through everything I said one by one. When I said "just the regular amount of dressing," I got some sass and was told that wasn't an option - I had to pick "light, medium, or heavy." Uhhh okay then. Sure I'll play along. Never been an issue before lol. The whole process was painfully slow, and at one point nobody was even at the counter making food - just a line of us waiting while they talked in the back. I had plenty of time before my flight, but come on. It shouldn't take that long to make a salad. For airport food, this is my usual go to. The grain bowls are consistently fresh with very tasty ingredients and always end up feeling satisfied. Would highly recommend the Southwest Bowl! Best way to describe MAD greens is that it is exactly what you would expect of a "healthy" airport option. They have salads, bowls, and wraps, with mostly healthy ingredients. However the actual flavor and presentation of the food is pretty meh. I got one of the salads and while I wouldn't say it was tasty it also wasn't bad. You could tell the ingredients weren't the most fresh but like I said it's still definitely a step up from a fast food restaurant. I said "I wish someone told me that because it wasn't mentioned when I was ordering" and then he went to the back and came back with a handful of strawberries. Do not eat here. I was in Austin for a long layover. Decided to get a salad and was disappointed. First, they got my order wrong and half ass corrected it. Second, I am not sure what they classify as a Cobb but the eggs were a pasty substance rather than hard boiled. There were three people working. The cashier took my order right, but the two people preparing the orders weren't paying attention. The second guy misread the ticket and prepared a wrap instead of a salad. The third person - a woman - didn't look at the ticket either and just finished off the wrap and threw it up on the counter for me to pick up. I approached and could clearly read on the ticket that it was a salad so I say as I point to the ticket, "It's a actually a salad." She says, "Oh okay." Proceeds to ask the other worker for "more romaine" in a bowl, unwraps the wrap and dumps it onto of the romaine in a bowl. Closes the lid on top and slides it to me. She did ask if I wanted more dressing. Then when I got to my gate and sat down, I opened the salad and what is supposed to be hard boiled eggs sliced or chopped up, were actually a mushy pasty consistency. I picked at the salad once or twice and then decided it was probably best I not eat it. For $13 it was a total fail. And mind you, I am from LA...the land of $20-25 salads. This review is specifically for a worker who gave rude customer service. I ordered a salad and wrap with dressing on the side. He gave the salad with dressing on the side and I was still waiting for the wrap. The customer behind me mentioned that he ordered the same salad, I said "did you get dressing on the side?" He said no. The employee heard this and tapped the sign aggressively and rudely said "READ THE ORDER!" I was confused because I was only answering the other customers remark and maybe the employee thought I was complaining but he was just so unjustly rude! Then maybe he realized I was still waiting for the wrap, muttered something under his breath and started angrily preparing it.
