I believe I was speaking with Shelilah. I let her know my past stylist had put my long bangs/face-framing layers on a side part and I wanted it fixed to be more in the middle plus a little bit shorter. I sent her pictures and she quoted me $20 and we set an appointment. The day/time of my appointment, I arrived and texted the business number to let them know I was there. I received a text back saying they had forgotten to put my appointment on the schedule and weren't able to help me that day. They asked to reschedule, which was a bummer since I was leaving that evening for my trip but not the end of the world. We rescheduled for when I got back a week later. The next week, 20min before my appointment, I texted the business number again to confirm I was still coming to my appointment. I got a text back saying the stylist scheduled to take care of me that day had called in sick and no one else was available to help me. It was unclear who I had been scheduled with since I thought I had booked with Shelilah from the beginning. Shelilah asked if i could come in tomorrow instead and she would help me. I was surprised that I wasn't notified that my appointment was canceled. What if I hadn't texted in advance to let them know I was still coming and just showed up?. But again, not the end of the world and Shelilah said the trim would be complimentary. The next day, I got a text a few hours before my appointment asking if i could come in 2 hours early. I said I could do that and I arrived for my service. I felt I was treated as a nuisance/chore during my visit. I spent maybe five minutes in the chair, and when I was unsure I was happy about how the trim looked, Shelilah let me know anything more would be considered a full hair cut. After that remark I got up and left. I would have tipped if I had felt happy with the service but I ended up feeling unwelcome. When I got home and looked at my bangs in the mirror, they looked choppy and uneven. I texted pictures of my hair to a friend of mine who is also a hair stylist and she ended up fixing them for me. If she lived closer I would have gone with her in the first place, because wow they look so much better now! I was hoping to have found a great salon in my area that I would return to for future appointments, but the lack of customer service and poor cut made me not want to go back. I'm sure other stylists there are good, but I will be looking elsewhere since Shelilah is the owner and I had a poor experience with her. I would have preferred they let me know they weren't wanting to do such a small service rather than taking me and making me feel like a bother. I feel no matter how small the service you should treat every customer like they are important.

Is thinner than the right. I'd been waiting hoping it'd fill in but it hasn't. I'll be trying get recommendation. There was no one in the chair or waiting when I came as a walk in. So I was in and out in less than fifteen minutes. They also sell a few jewelry accessories. There's another woman who styles hair and another who does waxing with sugar wax and hard wax. So, on the way out I grabbed both business cards. I noticed on business card one a rewards program getting a stamp each service to redeem a free service once filled. When I inquired about using it I was told it's no longer offered. Predators these cards should be removed and reprinted. That was a mild let down.

Not only is she incredibly affordable, especially compared to the high pricing of services elsewhere, but she also offers the same, if not better, caliber work than many of the esthis who charge twice as much. She thinks of the client's comfort first, and is practical and honest when offering advice, even if it means telling the client to give their lashes a break to promote growth! Instead of upselling, she listens and takes into consideration the needs of the client. I took a 3 month break from lashes this summer, after 9 months of near-continuous fills. Michaela noticed the change since I started seeing her, and had great suggestions for caring for my fragile lashes. Through her advice, I even was able to start growing back brows that had been lacking since a bad wax in college. My first set since the hiatus is beautiful. She mentioned that she changed lash brands since I last saw her. These lashes are super soft and light, and look so natural. and it's been 2 weeks since application, and they are still holding strong.

My lash tech had gone in to labor early so I was freaking out since our scheduled fill appointment was a few days later. I yelped eyelash extensions in the area and came across Michaela's business with a 5 star rating from several people. Michaela was so nice and super professional. Her room in the salon is so relaxing and beautifully decorated. I was so relaxed, I even fell asleep a few times during my lash application. Michaela seemed very knowledgeable and shared a lot of tips... I was so hopeful that I found a replacement tech while my normal lash tech was on maternity leave. I even scheduled an appointment. Mind you, my lashes coming to get filled were on for 4 weeks already and just starting to look like I needed a fill. They looked great after she finished but she mentioned one side had less lashes than the other so she didn't fill the other side as much to even out the eyes... once I got home I looked an the ends were bare. Those are the ones that usually fall out first so I was kind of thrown off a bit. The next few days were upsetting... they fell out left an right! I woke up to lashes on my pillow, I'd be talking to someone and one would gal on my cheek (embarrassing) a week later they looked like I needed a fill ALREADY! They looked worse than they did when I first went in for a fill. Thank goodness my regular lash tech called me and said I could come by to get them done that Friday. Needless to say, those stayed on great. It was weird that the ones Michaela put on fell out so quickly, but the ones my regular tech put on again, lasted over 3 weeks. Michaela texted me a week later and said she lost all her appointments, please remind her of the scheduled appointments we had. I mentioned they all fell out and that I wanted to cancel my appointment... she never responded. If you're looking for a beautiful environment, quick responses, and a nice, professional lash tech, but for your lashes to only last a week, Michaela is your girl... You can't have it all... Michaela's service would've been a 5 star but the review is mainly for the outcome of the "product and application." 3 stars it is. Thank you again Michaela.
