I have been looking for a place like this for the past year and am so glad I've finally found it: a restaurant that makes delicious food that's actually healthy and clean!! Amazing!! The restaurant itself is cute, and the food is trendy/hipter-ish with whole wheat everything and 'protein power ball' type stuff at the front. I love it. Note though that the place is TINY. There are only a handful of cramped tables inside, and we ended up sitting outside on one of its few outdoor tables but the view was just of a parking lot, which wasn't ideal. I had the Hot Mess which was a delicious breakfast sandwich (though I could have used with less spiciness from the Sriracha). I also had the Salmon Benedict which is like a regular salmon benedict you'd get elsewhere but instead of english muffin there's a corn cake thing. I liked it, but not as much as just a regular english muffin. I got a side of potatoes as well, and I was disappointed that they were slices instead of chunks. I remember when Juicy Couture was all the hype in high school. Fast forward to millennial life in AA, and it's all about Juicy Kitchen brunch, featuring Instagrammable plates with whimsical names such as the JK Benedict. Contrary to what you would expect from a Juicy Kitchen, JK is not just a juice bar though they do serve some fancy smoothies at $6 a piece. Note that the menu is predominantly plant-based so don't come here planning on getting juicy steak and eggs. However they do such a nice job with their array of brunch offerings, from the power bowl to the breakfast quesadilla to Scottish oat cakes, the creative vegetarian options will keep you enthralled. (In any case, there is also the option to add bacon or chicken sausage for true carnivores.) We were most eager to try the JK BENEDICT ($11.75), consisting of perfectly poached eggs over *veggie cakes*. It incorporated the veggie-ness of veggie burger patties or falafel, into the soft and fluffy texture of pancakes, so the veggie cakes were wholesome and tasted healthy while serving as a convenient vehicle to soak up the runny yolks. We also tried the BAKED EGGS ($9.75), essentially a hash of sweet potatoes, spinach, and caramelized onions topped with sunny side up eggs. I have mixed feelings about how it's not true baked eggs--while I do like the taste smokey taste of baked eggs, it does take forever; I think I'll settle for JK's faux baked eggs/hash. The blend of veggies was delicious and healthy, and I did like how it's less food-coma-inducing than your typical carby fried brunch potatoes. I was also impressed by the accompanying side salads, with very fresh, crisp mixed greens blended with variety of fresh fruit. The coffee was excellent as well, and I was very happy that they have soy milk at the bar. Juicy Kitchen is a small cafe in a random strip mall, so don't expect a bouge restaurant like Sava's (though JK arguably has better food and definitely better prices). The ambiance is cozy and space is a bit tight; I suggest getting thereby 9am on weekends because it can get busy. Overall, I was very satisfied with my brunch at JK--they are masters of balancing tasty and healthy (I don't feel like I just ate cardiovascular risk factors like I do at traditional American brunches with eggs/bacon/sausage/potatoes/general greasy stuff). When I first sipped their maple sea salt latte, my soul departed my physical body and I transcended time and space. My pores cleared. My sins forgiven. The angels sang a name to me, and that name was Juicy Kitchen. For real, this place is marvelous. A real joy of a breakfast after driving 3 hours form Columubs in the dark and damp. Got the JK Benedict with chicken sausage. Had thought it came with bread rather than corn cakes, but the staff convinced me to try the corncakes and I'm glad I did so. Real kernels of corn in there was terrific, and the spicy sautéed pinch, mushrooms, and tomatoes that went with the corncakes worked really well with the gooey eggs benedict. Rather than a hollandaise, the sauce was a roasted red pepper and goat cheese that tasted great, though I didn't recall any goat cheese flavor, which is usually pretty strong. Combo of green and fruit salad was great, and the chicken sausage was fine. Should've gotten bacon instead, I think. A welcome introduction to snowy Ann Arbor, and the friendly service and patrons didn't hurt. read more

A lot of times when you see the words "health food" or see a place with ample vegan & gluten-free options, people tend to think you're giving up flavor. Juicy Kitchen proves that you don't have to! I wish I had checked in every time I came here so I could keep track of how many times I visited Juicy Kitchen. I absolutely love their food! My favorite thing on the menu here is the Hot Mess sandwich that comes with roasted red pepper, goat cheese, egg, avocado, and a spicy sriracha sauce that gives it a kick. Everything I've tried on their menu is incredible. The seating here is limited, but the staff is so great at cleaning the tables and seating everyone that it really isn't that much of a hassle. They also add outdoor seating when it gets warmer that adds space. The only downside is that sometimes when it gets busy in the winter, they'll ask you to wait outside (since there's not much space indoors). For this reason, I'd recommend driving rather than ubering or getting dropped off. That way, you can wait in your car -- and not out in the cold. The service here is incredible and everyone is so friendly! I always leave feeling so much better than I did before. I always recommend this spot and it's definitely worth the trip. read more

Stopped by for breakfast and ordered the JK Benedict with both bacon and Chicken sausage and coffee. My total came out to $20 something before tip. The staff members were very friendly and service was good. I got my coffee and seated myself. Ok, I when it comes to vegan foods, it's a challenge and yes, I did order both bacon and the chicken sausage, but the Benedict itself was difficult to enjoy. The egg and the sauce was great, but I think the veggie cakes threw me off, not used to the texture of the veggie cake... also, the dish was bit on the bland side... granted that's why they have the salt & pepper shakers on the table I'm open to trying new things and Juicy Kitchen will be my partner in trying more of vegan foods, so looking forward to other opportunities in visiting and trying their other offerings. We stopped at Juicy Kitchen on our way back to CT after spending time with family in Jackson. It was delicious! My husband had a veggie omelette with broccoli, cauliflower, shallots, summer squash, zucchini, and cheddar cheese. He added chicken sausage on the side. The omelette was fluffy and perfectly cooked. I had good morning sunshine. Banana bread with peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and fruit. It was a delicious combination. The fruit was fresh, and the blueberries were massive! I had a tasty chai latte, too. Juicy Kitchen is small, but their service was so incredibly fast that the turnover is quick. Servers were very friendly, too. This is the first review I have ever written for a restaurant, let alone a negative one at that but today's situation was so horrific that I've decided that I need to warn others. Today I involuntarily ate meat for the first time in 5 years at the fault of Juicy Kitchen mistakenly messing up my order. I ordered the vegan burrito & they gave me the regular burrito which has bacon, cheese & egg. I took one bite then realized I was eating meat. They remade my order & offered a free baked good in which I explained that the only thing that could make this right was if I got refunded for that burrito. The owners completely refused to refund me. It is not about the money, but it is the gesture that is vital. What happened today is extremely unfortunate & I left in tears with a $3 baked good that I didn't even want. I hope the owners use this as a learning lesson in seeing that customer satisfaction is essential to running a successful business. Not only did Juicy Kitchen lose a loyal customer, but multiple customers as I have always supported, praised & recommended this establishment to many of my friends & family. I will never give this place my business again. If you are vegan I don't recommend coming here unless you want to run the risk of accidentally eating meat then not getting the justification that you deserve. read more

I came here today for a Sunday brunch with a wholesome group of friends, and this quaint, charming restaurant was lively and poppin'. Luckily, we were able to find a table for four inside, and I ordered a $10.75 JK Club Sandwich (grilled chicken breast, fresh avocado, local bacon, roasted tomato, crunch lettuce, spicy Sriracha mayo, and zesty ranch dressing on multi-grain bread) that also had a small side salad with fruits. I also split a $9.75 Baked Eggs dish (sunny side up eggs over sweet potatoes, spinach, and caramelized onions with whole grain toast, fruit and greens) with my friend. Although the portions here are on the smaller side, the JK Club Sandwich was amazingly fresh and flavorful; it made for a decently wholesome meal. I thought the Baked Eggs were okay, but I wouldn't order it again. I had the quiche. On the board to which our waitress directed us, it said the quiche of the day was caramelized onion and mushroom. The quiche I was served had broccoli and potato instead. It was subpar, with big chunks of flavorless potato and a crust that had no texture. Did they perhaps try to make it without butter? Or maybe gluten-free crust is always this unappetizingly crumbly? Anyway, the quiche was served with a few chunks of fruit and supermarket salad mix. Service was poor. The waitress took down the wrong time for our reservation (the mixup was definitely on their end; I heard the reservation being placed) and gave snippy answers in response to our questions not once but multiple times. The cherry on top was my pomegranate spritzer, which tasted like soda water with a pump of Torani syrup. For $2.50, I was expecting something comparable to Izze at the very least. Such a refreshing menu! I had such a hard time choosing. We ended up with the Breakfast Quesadilla and "The Hot Mess." We shared both sandwiches, so we could try a little of each. We also shared a side of chicken sausage. Everything was great, The Hot Mess being my favorite though. I believe that goat cheese just makes everything better, so if you love it as much as I do, this is the sandwich for you! A ton of unique flavors that all come together well. As for drinks, I had the cinnamon vanilla latte & hubs had a regular coffee. He was raving all day about the great coffee and my latte was excellent. Some gorgeous latte art to make it a little more fun! The infused water is also a plus! So refreshing! The place is small, so we did have a short wait but not bad at all for a Sunday late morning. Mr. MVP and I went to Juicy Kitchen for an early lunch after an appointment at University of Michigan. I was excited because in Kalamazoo our options are incredibly limited with our gluten free diet. Mr. MVP was just excited because well, bacon. We were greeted immediately and felt very comfortable asking questions. We explained that we were gluten free and we were told that most everything on the menu could be made gluten free with a few substitutions. Huzzah! *There are no clear indications when you walk into Juicy Kitchen, but you order at the counter from the large menus on the wall and then grab a seat and your meal is brought to you. Not a big deal, this process just was not clear to us when we walked in.* Mr. MVP ordered the club and I ordered the breakfast sliders. Both of us substituted gluten free bread. I opted to add the daily vegetable in the sliders (cauliflower and broccoli) and add bacon. Mr. MVP ordered orange juice and I had a decaf latte. The gluten free bread had a good texture. As a nice bonus there were sunflower seeds on the crust. This was a hearty bread, which gluten free people usually don't get. It was also toasted. Yummy! The eggs and veggies complimented the bread perfectly and the portion size was just right for me. I neglected to tell the staff when ordering that I cannot have citrus, so Mr. MVP ate my fruit, which he said was sweet and fresh. Mr. MVP said his club was perfect. Avocado, bacon, tomato, and lettuce on gluten free bread. It was the best ingredient combination ever. His orange juice, which was fresh squeezed was tart, but tasty. Mr. MVP also had a peanut butter quinoa cookie. He said the peanut butter was not nearly as strong as he would have liked, but the quinoa was light and added a pleasant airiness to the cookie. I could not stop worrying that there was soy in the cookie from the peanut butter, but Mr. MVP thoroughly enjoyed it. Our lunch was around $30, but it was well worth it. We will add Juicy Kitchen to our regular list of places when we travel to Ann Arbor for appointments. read more

While on a mid-week vacation day, my wife and I decided to try "Juicy's" for a late lunch at this popular eatery known locally for fresh and healthy food. It is a small place with just 7 or 8 tables. After gazing at the menus written in colored chalk on the blackboards mounted to the walls, you place your order and pay up front at the counter and they deliver your food to your table. As we walked in at about 1:45 pm, the place was still packed with the lunch crowd although most had finished their meals and just seemed to be enjoying some relaxing conversations...kind of a casual coffee house atmosphere. We both chose to go with the Omelette Special of the day which contained califlower, zucchini, onions, white wine sauce and white cheddar. It was served with some fresh greens, fresh blueberries and strawberries and a couple of small slices of a hearty Zingerman's-style multi-grain bread. Wow...such great flavors reflecting the freshness of the ingredients folded into the omelette. The service was really friendly and the food was genuinely tasty. Prices were a bit steep at $9.50 for the omelette special but I don't mind paying for this level of quality. Juicy Kitchen definitely earned the right to enter into our Ann Arbor breakfast and lunch rotation. 4 solid stars. read more

What a great, cozy, find! I've been searching for new places to try for breakfast on the weekends and came to Yelp to do a search. Based on the reviews of others, I decided to try Juicy Kitchen this past weekend. I'm glad I did! My food was super fresh....I had the Sunday breakfast special which was created in honor of St Patty's Day--poached eggs over corned beef and cabbage. Delish. While you won't find this item on the menu now, you will find a nice change up every week, alongside the menu staples. While I sat and enjoyed my meal I eyed the other plates of food being delivered to nearby tables. Everything looked really good. I'm looking forward to a second visit, and soon! read more

The lady behind the counter was very patient and explained to us to walk to the counter, order, seat yourself, then they'll bring the food to you. There isn't that much space, so I wouldn't recommend having a group of more than 4. Everything on the menu looked sooooo delicious! After a lot of deliberation, I ended up ordering an omelette and a cinnamon latte, while my friend ordered the benedict. They both came with a nice side of salad topped with some fruit. The veggies in the omelette were seasoned very well, and I was glad it came with a salad as it off set the eggs. The sauce on the benedict was also tasty! Cute little place with healthy food choices. Since we live in walking distance, I can definitely see us stopping here for a smoothie or bakery item for the kids. The French toast my kids spit was delicious. The egg sandwich I had was great with the exception, the bread was way to salty...which is kinda weird, right...maybe just a bad batch? We did come here, for the first time, during a very busy time. We were able to get a table with a high chair(as it's VERY small with one high chair) but had no idea we were supposed to go to the counter to order. Some information on how things work here would have been helpful from the hostess. Their infused water was amazing.
