Bavarian Pretzel Bites & Root Beer
    Karina O.

It was my first time trying the food at Blatt Beer & Table. The only other time I'd been there was during the CWS for drinks. We decided to stop in for dinner since it has a more elevated vibe compared to the other nearby bars that serve food. The place was clearly buzzing with people heading to the same concert at CHI Health Center afterward. For a non-alcoholic drink, I ordered their root beer, which was so good and paired perfectly with my meal. For starters, we shared the Bavarian Pretzel Bites, which were delicious especially with the flavorful dipping sauces. I just wish the portion size was a little bigger. For my entree, I had the Blatt Mac, and I loved the panko crust on top. My husband ordered the Chipotle Chicken Philly and really enjoyed it, though he wasn't a big fan of the cheese sauce. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd definitely come back but I'll try something different.

We tried this place with the intention of ordering the Schnitzel and Spatzle from their menu....but was really disappointed that it's not available. We settled for the Pretzel bites, Buffalo Mac and the sausage plate. The food we got was good the apps were really tasty. The staff were polite and service was great. The place is pretty average on the noise level, but not annoyingly loud. Definitely another option for dining when in the ball park area.

Had a great dinner at Blatt Beer and Table. Only downside was it was an event menu so the items we were hoping to try weren't available.

The happy hour service is great! It was a beautiful day to sit semi outdoors! Just wish the rooftop had been open!

Each time we've been here, the food, drinks, and staff do not disappoint. I feel like most the times we come here it's during event so their menu was limited, but this past time I was able to get the steak and fries. My steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Nothing goes better with the steak than an ice cold beer, and there are a ton of options to choose from. My wife loves their margaritas, which are great as well. This is our favorite spot to hang out during the college World Series because atmosphere is awesome. But during a normal weekday, it's great as well.

We stopped in after attending a Supernovas game at the CHI. It was bitter cold and traffic was a little crazy. We got Pretzel Bites and a beer. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The was a mustard based dipping sauce that was really good and that says a lot because I don't like mustard. The service was great, very friendly and made sure everything was good. We have ate lunch here before during the CWS and can easily recommend the Blatt!

Great location! Just stopped in for a drink, snack and to catch the game. The loaded fries with bacon & blue cheese!!! Yummmm Place has a fun vibe!!

Let's start with the Cuban, which I have heard so much about. Wow! This is the best Cuban I have had in town, and the fries were also great. It didn't feel too heavy, and all the different combinations on that sandwich were great. The root burger was also super juicy and perfectly cooked. Even though it is a simple burger with not a lot of toppings, it is still delicious. Not pictured, but their chicken tenders are amazing--I keep coming back for them. You should note that they have a great happy hour menu! The service was super fast, and the place is great to watch some sports or catch up with a friend since they have both indoor and outdoor seating and a bunch of TVs.

This joint is located right at the door step of the College World Series Baseball stadium downtown. There is tons of metered street parking available, within a reasonable walking distance. It has a neat set up. There is the main bar area with a full bar, with seating around it, and dining room seating as well. You will find televisions all around that area. There is also another full bar with seating and a dining area off to the side, which is used for private events and over flow. Additionally, the bar has an outdoor courtyard in the back with seating. It is a nice place to sit if the weather is nice. I came on the night of a big show at the convention center, so they had a limited menu. The staff at the place is very friendly. In addition to their full service bar with signature cocktails, they serve burgers, sandwiches, fish, chicken strips, salads, and sandwiches. I ended up going with the fish and chips. I also got a Spritzer to wash it down. It took about 15 minutes or so to get my food. It was ok. One of the fish fillets were overcooked and very crunchy. The other one was fine though. The fries were pretty good and I loved the spritzer. If I had to do it over again, I would probably have gotten something else. Anyway, this is a convenient bar/restaurant within walking distance of the convention center and baseball stadium. A 3.5 rating would be more appropriate for this place, but that is not an option so I went with a 3 because I felt it was closest to it.

Stopped in because we wanted a bite to eat before headed to our hotel and out for the evening. We enjoyed a few appetizers - nachos and cheese, pretzel bites, and mac and cheese balls. All were very tasty but the cheese served with the pretzel was meh. Plenty of options on tap ranging from craft to familiar brands. Reduced a star because our server didn't let us know about the happy hour (saw a sign so asked about it after we already received our food, but decided to get another appetizer as a result of the deal).

Had a good time here. The ambiance is very nice even though I came at a less busy hour. The restaurant has a nice open feel and the bar has a cool hung construction. The decor is inviting and I'd love to come here on a game day. Right next to the College World Series stadium. The Blatt mac and cheese was great. I actually hate mac and cheese unless it's done right so I took a bit of a gamble ordering this, but I'm very glad I did. The cheese had good consistency and the pasta was a good length and cooked well. I ordered it with bacon which honestly I'd take or leave. If you like bacon a lot, go for it, but personally I think the bacon flavor was a bit overpowering. The root beer was delicious and I would order that all the time. You should get a crowler to go. Service was excellent. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful and did a good job checking in to make sure everything was going well. Would definitely come back again.

Great water - it is very good!

The water is really good. Refreshing and fun to drink. They must have really good filters.

In town for the week. Have no idea why I waited so long before visiting. Happy Hour Specials were great. The pretzel bits and Gruyère cheese fondue was that extra little. Chicken tenders had a wonderful breading and all the sauces were on the side. Don't laugh at me but they had PBR on draft. You had me right then. And something even cooler is a beer canning machine at the bar. You can buy a crowler (32oz) and they pour draft and seal it right there. I thought that was super cool. Kinda why I'm here 2 days in a row, now that I know all of the above. Great and friendly staff. You gotta give it a try!

In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. They also have a great selection of coffee flavors to choose from, which was a fun bonus. The coffee paired perfectly with breakfast, though I probably wouldn't come here just for the coffee alone. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. I was worried we wouldn't find a table, yet there were plenty of open seats available. The atmosphere is also really nice and cozy, making it a great spot to start your day.

After we ordered, we got a handheld order indicator and placed it on our chosen table. I got the churro French toast, my husband the breakfast sandwich with crispy potato's on the side, and then we ordered a side of bacon. French toast was fun. Crispy and crunchy, good with and without syrup. It had 3 triangles and it was easily shareable, but I understand if you don't want to haha. The breakfast sandwich was dense. We were surprised at how heavy it actually was. My husband said he liked the sage taste throughout the sausage, and he liked the aioli they had on it as well. The crispy potatos were different. Not bad, but lots of fried skin instead of actual potato. Bacon was good minus one obviously burnt piece that we asked the bar attendant if there was a way to fix it. She went to drop off someone's drink and came back with one properly cooked piece. She was wonderful. Overall, we'd come back, and we'd bring our friends

Like I said got there at noon and wanted brunch. I ordered English Black Breakfast Tea said to be "Premium Loose Leaf Tea", Wife ordered a latte, both $6 each. For a cup of tea and a latte that appeared to come out of a Kureg machine. I could tell because the tea came premade. Not hot water and a teabag, a half filled mug, no spoon, tasted bitter like it was run through a Kureg after a cup of coffee without rinsing the machine out. There is a sign in the dining room, "From our kitchen Homemade to your Table". Which was funny because I don't consider Cysco Homemade. The hashbrowns tasted like dehydrated boxed hashbrowns that were rehydrated and put on a flat top. They were overcooked, hard crunchy, not in a good way. I had the Chicken fried steak, gravy, and scrambled eggs. It had no seasoning to speak of. I asked for a biscuit and a cup of gravy added. The biscuit appeared to be a food service biscuit, not made there. Okay, but. I had an orange juice. Tasted like it was out of a bottle. My wife had the Acapulco Bene, the poached eggs were good, the Chirizo sausage looked like the patties out of an MRE, not fresh, or anything special, the english muffin it was all on was out of a bag. Again nothing special. She also had an order of pancakes. Again, nothing special, they were fluffy, and large, but just okay. The ticket was $71 for two, with some extras, $85 with tip. If you like food that is nothing super special for a moderately overpriced tab, go here. There many other good breakfast places in town. Not recommended, but I left with a full tummy, and i did not die. So win, but not won't be going back.

Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

Had a pretty fantastic experience here for Saturday brunch recently. They do require reservations…read morein advance, which puts a $40 hold on your card. They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

May 25th, 2026 Food:…read moreWaited a whole hour for an easy order... which was a mini charcuterie board with a plate of avocado toast... when it was served... it looked pretty and at first I didnt mind about the long wait, but I was disappointed because it tasted like it was made an hour ago but was barely being served to me a whole hour later.. so yeah.. not worth it and now I do mind.. a soggy toast isn't on my list.. Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.

My wife order the Early Bird; scrambled eggs, turkey links, wheat toast and country potatoes. With a side pancake as well. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandy with tots. We completed that with the Vanilla Lattni and the Biscoffee. Everything that we ordered was AMAZINGLY made to order. The pancake was a very decent size, warm and fluffy. The chicken sandy was crafted and cooked to perfection. Coated perfectly with the crisp, and juicy. The brioche bun compliments the patty very well. The food was very comforting. Emily was our server and she was awesome. Very knowledgeable and informative about the menu. Cindy was the bartender and did an awesome job as well with the drinks and customer service. Overall the place was 1000/10! Very great establishment, and as long as we're in Nebraska we will dine in.

I love coming to Early Bird, but this was my first time visiting this location…read more We were seated promptly after joining the waitlist. The restaurant has two separate dining rooms, as well as outdoor seating. I ordered my go-to dish, the Smoked Salmon Benedict. It was delicious and came with a side of hash browns. One of these days, I'll have to branch out and try something different from the menu. They also offer seasonal specialty drinks and menu items, which looked great. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and the overall experience was good. We'll definitely be back!
