If yelp could give half star ratings I would give this place a solid 3.5 star. It's a nice and clean restaurant, off the beaten path. It's location is a couple blocks south of Old Market. It wasn't that busy when we went - which was around 6pm. They do have a nice selection of bottled and canned beers but a smaller tap list. We both got different burgers. The burgers weren't anything to write home about. Mine was medium well done which caused it to be dry - I personally prefer some pink in mine. The location is cool and in the main dining area, they have a bar seating area that is half open to the outside, which is cool. The concept kind of reminds me of a tiki bar on a beach or something. I ordered the Hang N burger with their fries. For a $13.50 burger, you expect it to be top notch. My burger was dry and way overcooked. The toppings it came with were fine, and their sauce, can't remember the name of it, was bland and unoriginal. Burlington is a charming sportsbar/gastropub in an older building along 10th street in downtown Omaha. The size of the place was smaller than I imagined, but it is open concept and we were here for very late lunch and had no issue getting a table. I appreciate the variety of local beers available on tab and in a bottle. The food didn't blow me out of the water, my husband and I shared fished tacos and while the quality was fine, from a flavor perspective I have had better. After our meals we checked out the cellar downstairs that can be rented for private events, which again offered a ton of charm. Burlington is worth putting on your list of places to check out downtown. read more

Modern and at one time a mysterious bar in construction, The Burlington League is open and ready for business! First up, parking. The parking is easy, just along 10th on the bridge or one of the side streets. Once entering, Burlington has an open floor plan on the main floor, with variety of seating (bar, high tops, regular tables). The decor is modern and simplistic, but I like the light fixtures and oversize wall art. Downstairs there is a gorgeous second bar area. Can't wait to come back on a busy night to mingle down there. On this first visit, I made it there at 6pm, just 30 mins before happy hour was over. The menu is a mix of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches/fried bites. Tastefully done for bar food if you ask me. We tried the pretzel bites, wings, chili dog, and Mac and cheese burger. Pretzel bites and wings were excellent, and the chili dog was pretty decent although a little salty for me. The dog was snappy, which I love. The Mac and cheese burger was a little bit of a miss, but I would try other burgers again. Service was a little slow considering that it was 6 o'clock on a Tuesday and they were not even full. We had to go up to the bar to ask for refills of our beers and drinks which my dining partners did not like. Hopefully they hire more staff or become more attentive because I cannot see that working out well when the place is crowded. Overall I think this is going to be a really fun place to grab happy hour, dinner, or just late night bar food with friends. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, so it wasn't very busy. I like the setup of the place. Cozy atmosphere, and once the weather warms up it would be fun to sit outdoors. Waiter was quick to give us menus and take our order. My Moscow Mule was made perfectly. We ordered the pretzel bites and quesadillas. The pretzel bites were served with melted cheese and also some whole grain mustard. They were pretty tasty. The quesadillas were good as well. I took a peek at their basement "cellar" area. It's decorated similar to the upstairs. Would be fun to rent for a private party, but again it's a basement so no windows so it is pretty dark. Welcome addition to the 10th street area. Stopped in for a late night cocktail on a Saturday, the place was basically dead. Maybe cause it was soo cold out. I don't know. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. The Burlington League is a great space in design and function. It has a great vibe that you feel this is your local pub. A large selection of great beers with a very well stocked bar. They can mix up anything that rivals craft cocktail places. The service is friendly and personable. The food is just as great. Some wonderful burgers and he got dogs are smashing! Great spot and great food. We've been in here a lot and love to spend time on the patio with the half in/half out table they have. There are a few servers we see regularly and they do a great job of taking care of us. I'd give it a 5 but an instance where our bartender and a manager had a conversation at the end of the bar was cringe worthy. The short version is she thought she was still drunk, and looked like she slept on a couch. We were the ONLY people in the bar so we might as well have been in the conversation. Pretty cool bar just outside of the Old Market district and nicely situated in Omaha's little Italy district. Got their signature burger with Cheddar cheese, great burger no complaints! Pretty nice touch, they brand their burgers with the logo (see pic), and although their draft selection is somewhat small, it more than makes up for that with a good selection on top. My wife, daughter, son and 1 yr old grandson decided to grab a bite to eat after visiting the Durham Museum. This was on Dec. 9 at around 2:30 PM or so. We walked into the place and there was no one there except the server/bartender (looked to be maybe late 30s/early 40s male). The first thing he said to us was "we don't have any high chairs or booster seats". That should have been our clue to turn around and leave. We didn't. The service was sub-par at best. The server gave off the impression that he was being inconvenienced. We ordered some drinks, appetizers and entree items. The food was generally pretty good although my Swiss Mushroom burger was pretty bland and dry. The fries weren't great unless you like them underdone and limp. The server never checked in with us on whether we were enjoying the food, never asked if we wanted another drink or a re-fill. When he wasn't bringing our food/drinks he was on his phone...several times with his back to us. We had to get his attention several times for some additional items. Lastly, the place was completely devoid of any Christmas/holiday decor or music. The music was mostly metal. First the place itself is urban, relaxing and a feeling of hanging out with your buddies. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I did try The Burlington Burger! It was delicious! A little dry or maybe very lean beef but the flavor was outstanding! Perfectly cooked, beefy but not an enormous burger so I didn't feel bad eating the whole thing!
