I'm not big on pizza chain restaurants, but I make an exception for Jules. I am a big fan of thin crust pizza, and Jules does it like no other in the area. I absolutely love the pesto pizza and the artichoke/arugula. Jules also costs more than your average pizza, but the quality ingredients are worth it. They also offer non-pizza items, which I have never tried, but they don't look like anything special, so I'll stick to that tasty thin crust pizza I like so much. read more

I usually go to the Jules Thin Crust in Doylestown, but decided to meet a friend in Newtown and visited the Jules location there. The Newtown restaurant is on par withe Doylestown store. They have great pizza, great service, and a nice, clean eating area. I had a slice of my go-to -- the edamame pizza -- and also tried a new slice that I'd never seen before: the Brooklyn. This wasn't the first time I was at a Jules. My previous visit was at the Doylestown location, which I had a really good experience at. I had ordered a whole pie from that one, it was amazing. I stopped in for a quick slice at this location today after having a smoothie that didn't quite fill me up enough after hiking for a few hours. Their slice selection was very limited, I was actually almost getting ready to wander back out until the girl pointed out a slice that had pulled pork on it. I went for it. The slice itself was pretty good. I love thin crust pizza and I love honest ingredients. It had a sweetness to it that I really enjoyed. It felt as if it was gone immediately after I sat down. I feel like it would be an excellent choice to order fresh as a whole pie, which is something I'd probably do in the future. It did somewhat taste like it sat out for awhile as it did appear to be a slow day. Place was pretty clean, staff was okay. Tasty "pizza" with a focus on very fresh ingredients. Not very filling because it is a little too thin. But the ingredients make it too good to be dismissed. I highly recommend the BBQ Pork Pizza. It is a 10.....just be prepared to eat a whole pie, if you want to feel full. I also like the veggie pie with roasted potatoes, rosemary and sour cream. read more

So it was off to find a decent pizza in pa night. We started a new thing of driving to different pizzerias in the area to sample their goods. This week it was Jules Thin Crust. And just as the name declares , it was a flatbread pizza. Very thin crust. First impressions, not what we were expecting, but Yelp did give it 4 1/2 stars so it was worth a try. Upon arriving there is a generous selections of pre made specialty pies that you can buy by the slice. I choose the Veggie #2, a modified Grandma pie, while the wife had the buffalo chicken. Now the bad stuff Now I know we are not in Long Island, but how bad can you f up a pizza They take the slices and run them through this chain driven conveyer belt oven to heat them up. Kind of like Burger King with their burgers but instead of a gas oven with flames it is more like the electric toaster in hotels that runs the bread through and spits it out. So the pizza comes out, they put it on a fancy wood plank and by the time we walk 15 steps to our table it's cold. Pizza wasn't bad. Kind of equate it to cafeteria pizza but cold. . Next week it's across the street to Newtown Pizza. That looks promising. read more

High quality ingredients and good quick service. A ton of fresh options with local ingredients for whatever you are feeling. I got a meat slice and a cheese slice. Both were delicious. The pizza is premade each day and they run it through a quick oven cycle when you order so it's a great quick lunch place. I would get 3 slices next time as they aren't super filling. Good bottle/canned drink options as well. The only thing I wish they had was fountain soda and that the pizza was crispier. I'm sure they would have run it through their oven one more time if I asked though. read more

I recently came to Jules with a friend that loves this place! We were picking up a few pizzas for everyone at our job. Its a very clean and friendly place with people who are willing to explain the varieties of pizza combinations... We chose the Brooklyn which is a plain pizza (great) then we got the Chicken/Cilantro Lime (very good) and then also the thin sliced Potato Pizza. I never thought that pizza w potato slices would've worked but it was delicious!! We also got a slice of the pizza w red onions, feta... It looked like a salad on top of the pizza. It looked so pretty and tasted fresh! It was a 20 min drive from the job but I would definately go again their pizza combinations were unique and its a nice change ftom the traditional pizza flavors. read more

I get the sense that Jules has gone from a 5-star establishment to 4-stars. Boo-hiss! Yes, they're still toting the organic greens, the myriads of thin-crust choices, but the management does not seem as overly pleasant, and the quaint spot, while well located, could use some sprucing. For example, most tables are bussed promptly, however, it is common to notice a bit of grease, an errant napkin on the ground, or a lonely red pepper flake forlorn in the corner. The salads are delicious and include a bevy of organic ingredients. The one sore spot is that the customization option is ideal in concept, however, the wait time to receive the salad leaves it an afterthought post-pizza. I tend to be picky so add a lot of interesting items to the salad; 100% of the time, there is a small error. A missing something, not the right number of salads, wrong dressing, etc. It might be my communication errors, however, I suspect the staff is not as properly trained on the salad-ordering process as the pizzas. The pizza is still the star of the show, especially for kids. read more

Extremely tasty, and pricey, "pizza." I love their product even though it is not real pizza. Although it is thin and crispy, Jules's crust is nothing like that of an Old World/Trenton tomato pie. Still, it is really, really good. Think of the square-shaped frozen pizzas sold in grocery stories. Now, imagine if their crusts were compressed and made fresh with better ingredients. That is the base used for really good sauces and varied toppings. The Brooklyn pie, with garlic bits and cheese strips, is my favorite. The location is convenient because it next door to the mammoth shopping centers in Newtown but in a nicer, separate village-like strip that stands on the location where the missed ice cream parlor/diner Goodnoe's once stood. The one downside: the price. With the exception of tourist traps, you'll never see pizza priced this high anywhere else. read more

Love this thin crust pizza! Jules offers very unique toppings (edamame, butternut squash, kale, etc.) that lean on the healthy side of things. I go there about two to three times a month and they never disappoint. Fast, friendly service every time. The pizzas are thin, however, so be prepared to eat 4 or 5 slices to fill you up. Yum, this place is pretty good. They have a wide variety of pizzas available here, and pretty much everything is organic. They also have salads. I tried the ceaser salad and was not disappointed. It's nice and clean inside, with lots of light. The bathrooms were clean, and the service was very good. This place reminds me a little bit of Qdoba, but with pizza. Or Chipotle. Trying to find other good comparisons, but this place just feels pretty unique in its own right. I'll be coming back here regularly. read more

Went to Jules in Newtown last night for some slices with the kids. I used to go there at least once a week when I used to live in the area. It's a great place for a different type of pizza. All on a very thin crust with very cool combinations of toppings that even my kids enjoy. Yesterday I had two of my favorites, the Apple honey bacon and sweet potato, ricotta, Apple, onion. A new one there I really liked was the zucchini corn pablano. One slice is never enough since they are so thin but 2-3 gets a good amount of fullness. Parking is sometimes tough there due to the bust Peking lot and especially around dinner time. Their plain is solid but leave that for the losers. Get the crazy toppings, try them all, don't be scared. It's just pizza. It's just tasty. We all love tasty pizza. read more

I am here at least two to three times per week! This is my favorite pizza place and love all of the fresh/organic ingredients they use. My favorites are the eggplant and also the Greek salad one. They offer salads, gluten free treats, and homemade chocolate chip cookies (ask them to warm it up through the pizza oven... mmm) as well. I tend to neglect this shop. It's not that I hate it or overtly love it. It's there. Sometimes I say "oh, I haven't had Jules in a while".. then I swing by the next time I can. There are a few combinations that I really enjoy. I guess they got rid of the fig and goat cheese pizza? If so this saddens me as it was my favorite there. The thin crust is good enough in that it's a thin crust. I like my pizzas in various shapes and sizes. It's just more about what I'm in the mood for. I tend to view Jules' oddly enough as summer pizza. I suppose maybe the healthy fresh-ness vibe it has I just get cycled on towards eating it more over the warm season. I can't say the pizza is my favorite, the truth is I'm pretty much a DeLorenzo loyalist. Aqcau in Newtown may quickly win my loyalty as well. That said, it scores above Whole Food's pizza which should be a compliment right that. I don't know what would bring me back more often, I don't think there's really much. In a grand sea of so many choices Jules usually falls below the preference point. This doesn't mean I'm not routing for them. You guys have a location out in California now? How did that happen? That's awesome, expand more ..I'll be happy to buy into the initial IPO! For recommendations I can't think of much. It would be cool to see anchovies, clams, smoked mussels and other goodies as toppings. Maybe delivery? Though this seems to not fit within the business model I suspect. One possible location recommendation would be maybe Temple University campus and UPenn as well. Mm...Penn State main campus too probably. The narrative of the store runs in favor of the conscious consumer. Keep up the building of the business, you are doing good things. Other than that, it would be cool to get your neighbor in Oakland, Zachary's to come to the east coast and open up a place in Newtown. In a Pizza saturated area (not just the suburbs, but the whole freakin' state it seems like), its hard to do something new. It's also hard to pick a favorite and easy to get sick of not just one, but all of them. Jules Thin Crust seems to buck all these trends. It not only has delicious, fresh food, but the Pizza is practically like none I've ever had before. It is Thin Crust, yes, which of course isn't new or anything. But the Crust itself is super thin, almost like a thicker cracker. The toppings and variety are where it really shines though. They have a wide variety of Organic pies, like the Greek Salad one, the FANTASTIC Eggplant, Arugula, Mozzarella, Parmesan one, or my personal favorite, the Roasted chicken, chopped tomatoes and onions, mozzarella, lime juice, cilantro, extra virgin olive oil slice. I've been there 17 times in the past 6 months (I kept track), and I've had almost every kind of pie they make. The Pies are long and oval shaped and one slice is essentially 2 pieces. I usually get two slices (4 pieces) and that fills me up. It doesn't stop with the Pizza though, they also have Soups and Salads and Cookies. I never got the Soup or Salad, but they looked pretty good as well, and they have Homemade Organic Dressings also. The other nice thing is that they can make Gluten free Pizza and Pizza on whole wheat crust as well. I've had the Whole Wheat, its good, I just prefer the regular Crust. Anyways this place rocks and is worth a visit if you want a quick delicious meal or want to order a whole Pie for LOST viewing party your having for 9 people.
