    Cheese steak pizza

Dined in today. They had no cheesesteak slices but were happy to make a pie for us. Came out hot and perfectly delicious. One slice of this is like eatting two, so the second came home with me,

10000/10 I haven't had a single thing from here that I didn't like. I love that this pizza shop still sells pizza by the slice and they have a wide variety of options to choose from. My favorites are the grand pop pie & the classic tomato pie! I could eat the sauce with a spoon that's how delicious it is! I also love their chicken cutlets, they stay nice and crispy even when you do take out. I will say their salads are pricy, I've ordered a Caesar salad w crispy chicken & added roasted red peppers to it and was a little taken back how expensive it was but it was very delicious. I know now not to order certain things if I wanna stay in budget for lunch or dinner. I work up the street from there and always tell my clients to go check it out! 10000% recommend!

This is my favorite pizza place hands down! Have been going there with my family and friends for a couple years! They have the best pizza! Also here one of the best customer services! Owners and employees are super friendly! Can't recommend this place enough!

    Plain Cheese Pizza Well Done

Had their pizza when they were in the old place upon recommendation of a friend and found it to be average. I recently tried them again in the new digs which is definitely an upgrade building wise! The staff has been nice and friendly any time I have been there. They have a big local following and the parking lot is always full. I've never eaten anything but their pizza, so my four out of five is due to their staff being nice, the cleanliness of the establishment and the average pizza. The crust was nice and crispy (I asked for well done), but the cheese and sauce were average. If you like your grease to be on the medium side your good here. It wasn't overly greasy, but there was quite a bit dripping off. Sauce was not as flavorful as I'd like and it could have been a tad sweeter. Price wise I paid $14.95 for a large cheese pizza which is $2-3 dollars more than most of their surrounding competitors. There are better pizza's to be had closer to me, but if they were my closest option, this would be my spot.

The Sorento without tomatoes and tons of packaged croutons

I'm not sure why this place is popular, but then I've never tried the pizza. Perhaps that is the real draw. I came several months ago, had a decent sandwich and lousy service. I went back today, because I was craving a caprese salad and saw online they have it on the menu. I ordered the salad with added grilled chicken from the pleasant young server. While waiting I noticed the dining room wait staff were secluded behind a short wall talking etc. It was then I remembered my last visit when again the wait staff were behind the wall talking. At that visit I had to continuously hunt down my server. It's hard to catch the eye of someone who is standing behind a wall. You need to wait until they exit whenever a new customer arrives. This was the case today when my salad was quickly delivered & I wanted to get someone's attention. In the heart of summer, the caprese salad was served with pale winter looking tomatoes and a piece of tired basil as garnish. The "fresh" mozzarella was not and the grilled chicken ok. I wanted red ripe tomatoes. When I finally got my server she said she'd take it back & I said please ask for nice tomatoes. She returned saying this was the only kind of tomatoes they had and suggested a sorrento salad which was the same thing but with the addition of lettuce and croutons. I agreed, and I even suggested they could take off the tomatoes on my caprese and add lettuce. The result: romaine with that mozzarella and the grilled chicken with a ton of packaged croutons wasn't appetizing. It wasn't what I came for & frankly there are a ton of restaurants around that make either salad to perfection. How can an Italian restaurant in mid summer not have nice tomatoes for caprese salad? And standard pizza mozz is not fresh mozzarella. I appreciate my salad was remade albeit with a substandard one. I will find myself a caprese salad this week at a different place.

Trenton Style Pie is fantastic! Our go to pie when craving pizza. Service is quick as they usually have multiple people working the counter.

Food is pretty good for Pennsylvania pizza but will never match NJ or NYC pizza if that is what you are looking for.

What made it fun was the maître D...Ira, and the owner too. They bring the personality of the place which adds a special welcoming touch. Our Server, Brayden was timly and right on. The bus guy was very sweet as well. We appreciated the staff. When we first pulled up we were not impressed with the small strip center and worried the place looked empty and drab. Turns out the dining room is to the left of the door and the first room is basically a fast food take out area. Reminded us of Aldo's in Holland...if you have ever been there. The dining room was basically a no frills kinda place but much nicer than the other side. Love a byob and we had more bottles than people...party time! (Cheers). At the end of the meal Salvatore gave us complimentary choclate lemoncello...amazing. Soooo...the food itself. We started with calamari and also the antipasto. Perfect for sharing and all delicious. Calamari was a good one. I ordered the chicken française, which was even better as leftovers the next day since it marinated in the sauce. Hubs enjoyed his veal Marcella. In fact everyone enjoyed everything. Overall, we all left feeling full, satisfied, pleased and very happy. It was a good time! Thumbs definitely up on this place.

The inside has quite a few tables and booths. They didn't have many diners on either visit and the side room was empty (I'm assuming they use that for private bookings?). It's a tad dated on the inside, but I've seen much worse! There was also a TV inside the dining area with that evenings Phillies game on. Their menu is huge - pasta, seafood, chicken, veal sections .... lots of restaurant items besides the usual pizza shop items. I remember having the Veal Saltimbocca - With mushrooms & prosciutto in a white wine sauce topped with mozzarella cheese many years ago and it was ok. The pizza was pretty good. Asked for well done - sweet sauce, nice ratio of cheese to sauce, the undercarriage stood somewhat firm, crust is on the thinner side and a tad crispy/cracker like. The Pep pizza should have had more Pepperoni, but was solid. Their pizza is not bad at all if you like a sauce on the sweeter side. The mozzarella sticks were tasty and not overly stringy with cheese and the cheese fries were crispy and ok with me. Don't sleep on their Cannoli's, they have regular shells and ones with chocolate on them. They are made to order and I enjoyed them. I think Poppy's is a good place to stop and grab a bite. It won't wow you, but the service was good and everyone was friendly.

I stopped in for an early dinner of Eggplant Parm Sandwich to be eaten in house. I ordered at the counter from young thing with nose clip and sat at a table near the window on the pizzeria side of the shop. The wait was about 15 minutes, but in their defense they had a load of takeout orders to handle before reaching mine. It was worth the wait. My plate was delivered by the cashier with a friendly smile and warm, "bono appetito." It was a beautiful sandwich on its oval. Long torpedo roll finished in the oven to bring up the crisp, and full load of thin cut, olive oil panned nightshade with skin on, but tender and near translucent. Add the top coat of mozzarella and red sauce finish, and I had a photo worthy tantalizing sammy. Each bite was a load to fit in my mouth. At first, folding it was not an option because it just ooze the ingredients. So, I did a little knife and fork to get things started and lighten the bulk before me, and shifted to hand held folderrol once it could be managed without spillage. Delicious from first bite to last. I admit to being on an eggplant parm kick for a few months now. I have realized that the only way to eat these creations is hot and steaming right off the grill when everything is at their apex. Takeout just guarantees that nothing is crisp and toasty, but has devolved into a messy quagmire, no longer the best it can be. So, there I was, sitting alone while the takeout line grew longer, but content to know that my enjoyment would far exceed their no longer premium dining experience.
