After seeing my chiropractor in Inman Park, I was walking toward the Beltline when I came across Julianna's Coffee & Crepes. Everyone who knows me knows I'm obsessed with crepes! I love carbs and having these thin pancakes stuffed with deliciousness means I don't have to worry too much about the calories. So of course, when I came across Julianna's, I had to check it out! The restaurant blended in so well with the surrounding homes that I almost didn't realize it's a diner. The interior is very humble, with bare walls, a bench, and three small tables. There are a couple of additional tables outside, as well. Next to the cash register, you can see the cooks flipping crepes. I normally select sweet crepes, but I've been on a healthy journey lately. Therefore, I ordered a Turkey Veggie, which included Dekalb Farmer's Market Cajun Smoked Turkey, Red Bell Pepper Puree Goat Cheese Spread, and Fresh Pesto. I paired that with a Mocha. My favorite part about the entree was the Cajun Smoked Turkey and Fresh Pesto, which had a good balance of salt, basil, and garlic. The turkey was one of the best ones I've had in Atlanta. Unfortunately, there was barely any Red Bell Pepper Puree Goat Cheese. The crepe was also a bit thicker than what I'm used to, and some parts of it were so tough that my plastic knife couldn't cut through it. I was able to finish the turkey without most of the crepe and sadly, I threw out the rest of the entree. My Mocha was bitter, but maybe that's a good thing since I'm eating healthier these days. I was looking for a new brunch place to take my family that might be quick and decided to try Julianna's since it's fast casual. I had heard bad things about Julianna's service recently so I was nervous but I had an overall ok experience. Julianna's is super small and you'll need to find residential street parking. Inside there's only a few places to sit so there's a big chance you may need to take it to go (and definitely come with a small party). Luckily, we were able to be seated immediately and ordered a few crepes including Farmers Special, Mushroom Melt, and the Turkey Veggie Crepe. We also got a Cookie Monster crepe to split later. We also had a few coffees (my mocha was delicious!). The crepes themselves were great! I absolutely loved my Mushroom melt and how melty and filled it was. Our server was also nice with holding onto our dessert crepe until we had space at our table. The Cookie Monster was a little bit of a letdown - the banana wasn't super sweet and we couldn't taste the cookie butter at all. I really did want to give this place a 5 star review. I do. However, the employees ruined the experience. We came here on a Saturday, I understand it's busy. So we walked up the register and ordered thinking there was no table, because there wasn't and got it to go which included an up charge along with a tip. Perfect. Thank you to cashier who was nice However, we ordered and one of our guests walked to the left and an employee comes over to her and asks how many in our party and she answers 5 and he proceeds to get an extra chair at the table that opened up while we were ordering. And we were like great we will sit and wait while we wait for our order. Slowly our orders start to come out and as get them we start to eat, because why not.... And we start to hear the employees less than 20 ft from us Including the one that gave us the table talk bad about how we were still sitting there even though we had to go orders. Like yes, we did order to go but there were no tables so we got to go... until an employee who was talking about us behind the counter gave us a table. I apologize if we were causing an inconvenience which i can understand even though an employee gave us a table, but it would have been better if they had just asked us directly versus whispering at us. Went to Julianna's for brunch with some friends and we ordered nutella crepes and I got a hot latte with oatmilk. It's such a cute and quaint little hole in the wall near Kroger Street, but seating is very limited. I loved how thin the crepes were because they didn't make you feel overly stuffed. Some people may not like that the strawberries are warm inside the crepes and prefer them cold, but I liked that they were warm and a bit mushy. I enjoyed my experience here! read more

It is busy, and somewhat small, so another employee suggested ordering both savory and sweet crepes at once. It's difficult to decide, with so many creative combinations. I chose the Breakfasty One, without ham, and substituted spinach, since the employee offered a few options. It is very good, and a welcome addition is maple syrup on the side. The palacsinta crepe is lighter than French crepes. For dessert, I chose the Guau, guava paste with cream cheese, which is delicious. Really filling, flavorful crepes. Stopped in the other morning after strolling on the belt line. The shop is small and cute. Exposed stone walls and shelves of unique product. The back wall displays various jams from an Amish community. Lots of cool products you won't find other places. The crepes were choked full of ingredients. I got The Royale. The ham was a lot higher quality than cheap deli meat. The spicy peach chutney was awesome. Just the right amount of heat balanced with sweetness. Super yummy. These aren't like other crepes you may be used to. They aren't easily eaten while walking down the street. They are thicker with a lot more inside, so I think they are best eaten sitting down. When they give it to you to go, they come in a traditional to go container, not a hand-held crepe container. That said, my husband made it work and ate his while walking because he just couldn't wait. Super good and worth stopping by when you are in the area. Nice quaint crepe shop located in the basement level of a house. Parking can be a hit or miss but if you drive around you can find a spot on the street (check for resident permit signs if any). When you enter, you are greeted by the staff and you can see them preparing crepes through the kitchen. You have an option for savory or sweet and in my opinion you should get both :) You order at the counter, take a seat and wait for your food to arrive. We ordered the "Breakfasty One," which is ham, eggs and cheese with some maple syrup on the side, and the "Farmer Special," which is sausage, eggs, red peppers and onions. The crepes came out perfect - not too thick and not too thin, and not soggy. The ham crepe was thick (with layers of ham and cheese), and the maple syrup was good to break up the saltiness in every other bite. I actually liked the Farmer Special a lot more! It had some spice to it with the red peppers, Hungarian sausage, and maybe some paprika. In addition, we also got the "Lemon Creme" sweet crepe, which was a great end to the meal. Been coming here for years before the pandemic. Real cute place with good crepes. Unfortunately, like many Atlanta restaurants, Juliannas crepes have seen decline over the pandemic. The atmosphere is no longer cute or friendly. The staff is grumpy and passive aggressive. Yes, they seemed stressed and are reflected in the guest experience. It is not appropriate to take it out on the customers who have been accommodating to their stress. When we walked in, we were told that they were behind and can't take new orders for 15-20 minutes. Despite being a block from Krog Market, we liked Juliannas enough to wait. We waited on bench inside by the ordering counter for about 15 minutes with another guest that came in after us. When a few groups of predominantly white guests walked in, the staff took their orders without any mention of those of us who sat and waited. I am not calling it racism but it doesn't look great the staff prioritized others while the black gentleman and I were left waiting. It was never about the wait time but how it was handled. Don't ask some groups to wait while serving other groups immediately. Furthermore, while we waited, we just kept hearing the brunette glasses lady behind the counter making comments about other customers. She made me feel unwelcomed. I understand some guests can be unreasonable. However, don't demonstrate the annoyance to other guests who had nothing to do with it. It was almost clear that they didn't want people to come. If that's the case, they should have just closed up early. To demonstrate what I saw. The guests waited to order despite there were options nearby, guests all cleaned up after themselves, dumped trash and returned plates, guests said bye and thanked staff as they left, which prompted no response from staff. I cleaned and wiped our table because it was dirty, cleaned up after our meal, waited 20 minutes to order, and tipped at the counter. You might want to be kinder to your guests. read more

Lets just start by saying this place is unbelievably good! The workers are genuinely nice and laid back (they were so confused when I paid in cash rather than card which was pretty funny). The Food: We had the Lemon Cream, Cinnamon Toast, Fudge Dredd, and Guau. Oh my goodness all of the crepes were so rich and leagues ahead of other crepes ive had. We had 4 crepes between myself and my girlfriend and we didn't feel disgusting. Guau-#1 My personal favorite, it was super rich and filled with Guava and cream cheese. I really expected to like fudge dredd more but nope this was the showstopper! Lemon cream- #2 Filled with lemon custard and tasted like a lemon bar on steroids. Delicious for lemon lovers. Fudge Dredd-#3 A chocolate lovers dream with melted chocolate inside and drizzled on top Cinnamon Toast-#4 Tasted like cinnamon toast crunch, pretty good and exactly what it sounds like. The food was really good and the service was also great. A lot of people were walking in and grabbing to-go containers. I would say there could be better use of the space for more tables/seating, but overall, great food and service. The hazelnut latte is delicious. Julianna's Crepes is a cute little place located walking distance from Krog Street Market at Inman Park. Street parking is plentiful alongside Lake Ave and Ashland Ave. The menu includes a great varieties of sweet and savory crepes. Each order of crepe is under $10. Apart from crepes, drip coffee, tea and soda are available. I very much like its quiet, cozy ambiance and great services. The servers explained the menu recommendations very well. For my first visit, I tried their most popular savory crepe (The Royale) and the sweet crepe (The Almighty). Their crepes are very thin and light. The spicy peach chutney in The Royale highlighted the lightly salty ham and cheese crepe, which makes a perfect lunch item! The Almighty is a classic strawberry & banana chocolate, nutella crepe - Amazing for breakfast, brunch or desserts. I came after driving around looking for an outdoor café to have breakfast with my dogs. The menu is good. The coffee is good. The service was pretty snotty at best. My crêpe was cold and they brought it in a to-go container and when I told him it wasn't to go they just slapped it on a plate and brought it back out. Definitely not the friendliest of staff. Not to mention that they would not let me pay outside and would not let me in with the dogs, so they took the liberty of adding a 20% tip without asking me what I would like to tip. The basement of the little home where it is located feels like a quaint European crepery, and the outdoor seating is amazing on a pretty day. Food wise, I recommend the Farmer's crepe for breakfast, and the Viking crepe is you have a hankering for something sweet. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff talked (amongst each other) about how they were out of various ingredients so I chose one that seemed to have all ingredients for. But was disappointed. They didn't have raisins and didn't tell me and the nuts they did put inside the crepe were like the dusting you see at the bottom of a bag. So literally a dust of nuts inside and crispy crepe with a side of a delicious coffee syrup. And the serve with plastic ware which was fine for the royale but impossible to eat with mine. Completely charming. From the creeping ivy on the outside, to the warm, cozy "rustic" interior, Julianna's is the perfect place to brunch with a girlfriend or two. We arrived Sunday morning around 9:30am and it was not too overly busy. However, it did get busy an hour later! The choice of crepes were great, a mix of sweet and savory options (yum! nothing out of this world, but definitely tasty), plus coffee! They even had some local jams and jellies for sale on the side. It was exactly the kind of place I was looking for that morning. And parking wasn't even that bad! It was street parking, and I was able to park right out front. For brunch, it was awesome, easy parking, fair pricing, decent quantity, and totally cool ambiance. If you wait until Krog St. Market opens around noon, the parking situation might be a bit different :) But I love this place! read more

Worst crepes I've ever had. They were really tough and chewy and there was barely any Nutella on my sweet crepe. They also give you plastic forks and knives which make it impossible to cut. We'll, this was a great find. Inside the vine covered building are tables made from tree trunks and smells of crepes cooking both savory and sweet. Their menu is filled with choices from full meals like what we had, to snacks. We had The Farmer's Special that's filled full of the equivalent of an omelette. My fiancé went halfway with the Sweet Spot that has honey and balsamic with ham. We split The Cookie Monster special. Service was quick and friendly. Julianna's Crepes opened April/May 2013 in Inman Park. It's one of Atlanta's only crepe-focused establishments, locally owned, and serving both sweet (dessert-like) and savory (meat-filled) crepes. The small cafe/eatery is located in a charming part of the neighborhood, lined with trees and quaint single-family homes. The restaurant itself is located on the ground level of one of these homes, so it blends in seamlessly with the surroundings. The space is cozy and vintage-themed. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. There's a cute patio on the sidewalk in front of the store. Inside, you can watch employees prepare made-to-order crepes on the showcase, dual crepe makers. There's a stylishly slim Coke fridge with glass bottles of Mexican Coke products and tables filled with local and regional preserves and jams for sale. Up front, the counter has ready-made pastries, chips, cookies, and unique doggie treats from a local vendor modeled after social media and other Internet logos. Julianna's Crepes are original in that they're modeled after Hungarian crepes. They offer nine sweet crepes priced between $3-6 each and four savory crepes priced between $6-7 each. Many of the ingredients are sourced from in-town farmers markets. Interesting ingredients include Castle Rock honey, chestnut puree, and Hungarian-style farmer's cheese. Along with the aforementioned classic Coke soft drinks, other beverages include Dancing Goats coffee, Colombia Gorge organic juices, and Mighty Leaf teas. I've tried a few crepes so far and they've all been pretty good. They include: Turkey Veggie - smoked turkey, goat cheese veggie spread, sliced cucumbers, garlic pesto drizzle Serf's Special - Hungarian Gyulai sausage, red bell pepper, green onions, scrambled eggs, paprika Ace - marshmallows, peanut butter chips, crushed chocolate Graham crackers, chocolate syrup The crepes are soft and appetizing. The fillings are indeed fresh and you can watch everything being made from scratch as the kitchen is semi-open and the crepe makers are right behind the ordering counter. The Turkey Veggie crepe is filled with big, hearty slices of turkey and thick slices of cucumber. The goat cheese spread is tasty. The garlic pesto sauce, applied on top of the crepe, has subtle flavor. The Serf's Special is wrapped like a burrito. It's similar to something you'd find in rural Hungary. It almost feels like a breakfast burrito to me, except with a very delicate shell. The Gyulai sausage, named after the Hungarian town of Gyula, is coarse, slightly salty, smoky, and mildly spicy. It's good and the highlight of the crepe. More sausage would be nice. The crepes are served steaming hot and hold in the heat well. The Ace crepe is decadently delicious. It's rich, dense, and as good as it sounds. The chocolate and peanut butter combination is tried and true. Sticky, sweet, and extremely satisfying. If you're looking for a good sweet crepe recommendation, I certainly suggest this one. If you're coming for a meal, 1-2 crepes or a crepe and a side should suffice. This is also a great place to pick up take-out orders, grab a crepe for a snack or dessert, grab a cup of coffee with a friend, or bring a book or laptop/tablet to read, study, work, or chill. This is a cute crepe place on Lake Ave (not far from Krog St market). Lake Ave is mostly residential so I was able to find parking really close to the establishment. You order first on the right hand side counter and find your own seating. This place almost reminds of a wine cellar with stone wall panels. Their furniture is also very quaint and cute. There were bright yellow flowers at the table I sat at which made the dining experience more enjoyable. I got the turkey veggie crepe ($6) and blood orange + vanilla sugar ($4) crepe because the staff recommended these. The portions here aren't huge but you can get full off a savory crepe if you're not super hungry. I enjoyed both crepes and was full after sharing the blood orange crepe with my friend. Although I enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the place here, I felt like the staff were a bit stand-offish when I first got here. Since this was my first time here, I asked them if we seated ourselves or how things worked here and they kind of gave me a cold shoulder/"isn't it obvious" kind of response. I also had to awkwardly wait for my friend so I just stood by their counter for a good 5-10 minutes before ordering. It was a bit uncomfortable to be stared at with the raised-eyebrow look so I had to explain to them that I was waiting for a friend.
