    Paradis de la Banane
    Cara E.

I absolutely love the Marietta Square Market food hall. There are so many options to choose from (slightly overwhelming, but luckily I live close by so I know I can come back many times to try everything haha). I've been wanting to try Crème de la Crepê for months - it's one of my friends favorite restaurants at the Market, and I'm so glad I finally tried it! I ordered the Paradis de la Banana crepe as dessert, and it was so delicious. It is filled with bananas, cookie crumbles, and dulce de leche. So tasty and REALLY full & big! The prices are good, too - most of the crepes are around $8, and like I said - they are filling. They have a big menu that includes many sweet and savory crepes, as well as waffles that all sound amazing. I already know what I'm going to try next time: the French Riviera, which has apples, walnuts & caramel - yum!

    Lemon/Sugar and Le Classique

This is a food stall inside the Marietta market. I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but these crepes were good, not great. I had Le Classique with spinach, eggs, bacon, and cheese. I ate it by hand, almost like an ice-cream cone, so the crepe held up to the insides nicely, but it was just kind of thin, crusty, and tasteless. It needed a sauce. The potatoes were fine - nothing special. The lemon was lemony but whatever was inside just melted into nothing. It wasn't filled, maybe just glazed? It was okay for a bite of something sweet, but these two items cost me $18 but didn't feel like an $18 meal. There are exceptional places at this market, so I'm not sure I'd get these again unless a crepe craving hits me.

The crepe is way too thick. It's like eating a pancake and is doughy and won't cut. I'm from Canada and this is not how a crepe is supposed to be. 3 for effort but this "crepe" needs some work. The ingredients inside the crepe are good, but the actual crepe is weird and seems like something has changed. Hope they're not using pancake/waffle mix!!!

    Philly cheesesteak crepe

I personally didn't eat here on this particular visit but my preteens did. One had the Philly cheesesteak crepe with a sprite. There were no complaints and the plate was almost clean. My other child had the strawberry waffle, which smelled delicious. The overall experience was decent. The cashier was young and friendly. The wait for food was about 25 minutes. They seemed to be backed up. I would return because the crepes are delicious however, they should invest in a larger location or more crepes/waffle makers.

Good. Not great. Nothing special about these crepes. Average crepe batter, with just toppings. No secret recipe or distinguished taste. Ok if you're looking for a sweet snack/desert while you're in the market. Don't expect it to wow you.

    Berry Lovers with Vanilla Icecream

We got the berry lovers crepe with vanilla ice-cream. We really enjoyed it! There was a generous amount of fresh fruit and the crepe was bigger than expected. The ice-cream, which was 75 cents extra, really added to the taste and texture of the crepe. The crepe itself was thicker and chewier than traditional crepes I've had, which made it difficult to cut through. Also, the takeout box it came in had foil under the crepe, which kept getting stuck to it. Wonder if there's a better way to package. Overall, would recommend the berry lovers to anyone who wants a sweet and fresh dessert.

Go for the fun experience of watching them make the crepes! I was there on the early side so there was no line or wait. I asked for recommendations if I wanted a sweet crepe. The cashier suggested the s'mores or one of their fruit crepes. I chose the s'mores because I generally prefer chocolate over fruit. The crepe was ready in no time and I watched as she filled the inside with marshmallows, chocolate sauce and ground up graham crackers. It looked and smelled delicious. However, the ground up graham crackers gave it a gritty, unpleasant mouth feel. The crepe alone was pretty good but I couldn't get past the texture from the crackers. I would be willing to try a different flavor if I go back.

It is inside the marietta square market so there are a lot of places to eat and this is a great place to get a nice dessert. I got the s'more crepe and while I thought it was a little too chocolatey, it was still good. I had never had a crepe before this so it was great to try out.

    Making the crepes

Overall...yummy! This is my go to spot whenever I want dessert at the Market. I probably should branch out a bit, but I like what I get. Service: the multiple times I've come service has been quick to get our orders. Staff is friendly and they're pretty quick with making the crepes. Food: I usually always get the desert crepes instead of the savory ones. I've tried the s'mores and it was a little too sweet. So I like getting the ones with fruit. The Berry Lovers is my favorite since the tartness of the fruit counters the sweetness of the chocolate. They're very generous when it comes to how much filling they put in so I'm always satisfied with my order. 4/5- there can be a wait depending on when you go in and that in turn takes a while for your Crepê to come out. Super yummy! I recommend everyone coming to try it out! Eating it can be messy so you can either have your Crepê in a cone or in a box. Whichever is more convenient for you.

I love carbs and having these thin pancakes stuffed with deliciousness means I don't have to worry too much about the calories. So of course, when I came across Julianna's, I had to check it out! The restaurant blended in so well with the surrounding homes that I almost didn't realize it's a diner. The interior is very humble, with bare walls, a bench, and three small tables. There are a couple of additional tables outside, as well. Next to the cash register, you can see the cooks flipping crepes. I normally select sweet crepes, but I've been on a healthy journey lately. Therefore, I ordered a Turkey Veggie, which included Dekalb Farmer's Market Cajun Smoked Turkey, Red Bell Pepper Puree Goat Cheese Spread, and Fresh Pesto. I paired that with a Mocha. My favorite part about the entree was the Cajun Smoked Turkey and Fresh Pesto, which had a good balance of salt, basil, and garlic. The turkey was one of the best ones I've had in Atlanta. Unfortunately, there was barely any Red Bell Pepper Puree Goat Cheese. The crepe was also a bit thicker than what I'm used to, and some parts of it were so tough that my plastic knife couldn't cut through it. I was able to finish the turkey without most of the crepe and sadly, I threw out the rest of the entree. My Mocha was bitter, but maybe that's a good thing since I'm eating healthier these days. Staff was friendly and the menu had various options, so I would definitely give Julianna's another try!

About the parking: the food hall is located adjacent to the railroad tracks on the opposite side from Marietta. This is fine unless there is a train. Even then, it appeared they had a pedestrian walkway over the tracks, but we didn't use it. The lot itself is public and appears cobbled together from where they razed former buildings. There are more like 3 - 4 separate lots that are interlinked at odd places. I think 2 of them were not joined at all, so depending on how close you want to park, you should try the lot with an entrance in front of the food hall. Payment was via texting a number or an app. They talked about validation, and I made 2 attempts to do that. One involved letting them see my location (which purported to give me 2 hours for free) and the other involved scanning a QR code at various locations in the hall (which took me to a web page for auto parts...). You can park here for 2 - 3 hours for somewhere under $9 at worst. And so, we finally enter the actual food hall. It is sort of a maze of indoor 'alleys' where you find restaurant counters, plus a main indoor plaza area with seating and more restaurant counters. You can check the website for specific places, but they had burgers, pizza, sushi, gyros, Cuban sandwiches, Asian bao buns, a coffee place, Cajun food, some dessert-oriented outlets, etc. There is enough variety to please most any party. I was planning on getting a Philly, but the place I went had a special on a gyro-and-fries for $11, so I went with that. It was good. Others in our group got a selection of buns, gumbo, and sushi. Everyone seemed to like the food. As for seating, they have a large number of cafeteria-style long tables in the main plaza. It was crowded, but we were able to immediately find space for 4 people without feeling crowded by the next group down the table. Saturday around noon after youth sports events may be their peak time, but I don't know. While Marietta has plenty of restaurants, if you want a possibly quicker and cheaper option while visiting, this place may be worth checking out.

Ordered the walnut crepe ($12). Portion-wise it's on the smaller side, but the quality made up for it. Crepe itself was soft with slightly crisped edges giving a nice contrast in texture. The cream was the star -- thick with a perfectly salty-sweet balance that kept every bite interesting instead of one-note. The walnuts added a satisfying crunch that broke up the richness and gave the whole crepe more dimension. Ordering is done at a screen, and I noticed only a handful of crepes have photos. My guess is those are the ones they're promoting, but it would be nice if more options had pictures so you know what to expect. The walnut crepe I ordered did have a picture. After you finish, there's a bin by the door where you drop off your dish. Overall, this is a place that focuses on quality over quantity. The walnut crepe felt crafted with intention, and while you won't walk away stuffed, you will leave satisfied. For me, it's a solid 4 stars -- I'd come back if I was really craving a crepe, though it's not the kind of place I'd call my go-to.
