I actually didn't read reviews prior to ordering, but my experience was totally satisfactory. I used their website for a pick-up order and everything was hot, fresh and they actually read my requests for the items I bought. (Dietary & traveling restrictions like dressing on the side, no meat, etc etc) I only knock it down to 4 stars because the staff wasn't super friendly as I walked in. Waitresses acted like I interrupted their important conversation and directed me to the counter where I wasn't really spoken to. Last thing was my salad... I feel like I paid $12 for arugula. Toppings were almost non-existent and each bite was mostly arugula. I also feel like it needed gorgonzola cheese which... their menu claims it has but didn't exist in my salad. I probably could have bought the ingredients myself and fed multiple people with the amount I paid for this salad. Overall, my pizza was amazing at least. Maybe a little too much fig but the crust and flavor profiles were great. Would definitely come back for pizza, but that's all I have to say. read more

Our bill came to $51.37, we gave them our cards to split. Upon getting our cards and receipts back, we noticed each card had been charged an additional $10- with no itemized receipt. Now our total coming to over $70. When I approached the woman that ran our cards, I was not met with an apology. She just said, "I must've put it in wrong, give me your cards." Similar to other reviews, the wings were fried to oblivion, and so oily. The brussel sprouts were actually inedible. What a disappointment...there's nothing like spending around $100 on 8 dishes and are only able to eat 2!!!! We had pizza that was ok, garlic Parmesan wings that were so hard none of the kids were able to eat any except for some skin that didn't harden yet, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp that had really no flavor, cape cod calamari that was absolutely disgusting because they were clearly freezer burnt with a fishy taste...threw it all in the trash, fried artichokes that tasted like old oil, chicken tenders that were also hard and tasted like old oil, lamb chops that had no flavor but a gamey taste, and scallops which was the best dish...they were fresh tasting with a light flavor sauce the only dish we finished!!! I never ordered this much food and had to throw it all away. I really hate writing terrible reviews but I would feel awful for someone to make the same mistake and waste your money. Excellent food, and robust menu choices. Only thing I'd prefer that you remove the whole shell of the shrimp when you serve a meal. There's a lot of meat in the tail and would like it removed. A meal should be completely edible and the tails are not, so leave them off. read more

I seldom post reviews but our recent experience is worth the effort. A couple of parents hosted a boys high school team volleyball dinner for players and coaches and it was a great success. Maria and her staff were extremely accommodating, thorough, organized, and attentive to our event, even allowing us to watch the NCAA men's volleyball championship for interested kids, parents, and coaches. The pizza here is good, but do not get delivery, eat in. We ordered from julian's website, which delivers using their own driver a little after 5pm. It said it would get there at 6:15 and our order arrived at 7:45 (1 hour and 30 minutes late). The man on the phone at the restaurant, Sergio, kept telling me the driver would arrive in 5 to 10 minutes. The driver just didn't want to deliver to us. We live on the part of Bayberry that has a closed bridge, but we noted the closure in our comments for delivery, and we have had Julians deliver many times before. We ultimately cancelled the order. Ordered on their website and was given a 1 hour delivery window. After 1.5 hours, no delivery. I called Julian's and was told my order was being finished up and would be out for delivery shortly. Another 45 minutes, no delivery and no update from Julian's. Called again and was told my order was out for delivery. 20 minutes later it finally arrived. That's 2 hours and 20 minutes! The worst part is the food was cold on arrival. I called a third time to let them know the food was cold and the pizza was soggy. Instead of an apology I was told, and I quote, "it's Friday night, we're really busy." I said that's no excuse for cold food. To which the person said, "so, what do you want me to do?" Well, how about an apology? That would have at least shown you care a little about your customers. There are many other good pizza places in Westport. We have consistently ordered a few times a month from Julian's for past 2 years. Our favorite pizza in Westport, until recently. The past 2 deliveries the pizza was delivered cold (which happens sometimes) but this was the consistency of a pizza made in the morning and reheated over and over. I called the first time to let them know, and declined the offer for a free pizza. I was assured it was a fluke. The second time we made sure to pay for fastest delivery on UberEats in case that was a contributing factor. Again it was delivered cold and very stale. Reheating couldn't help a pizza that old. Wow! Great food! The lobster guacamole was a great idea and a good price considering that you are getting both lobster and avocados. I highly recommend the arugula salad...so good! We tried the Green's Farms pizza, which had shrimp, avocado, cherry tomatoes, and freshly shaved parmesan. So yummy! Wine was also great. Had a glass of chardonnay and chianti. Amazing!!! I've had the pleasure of eating at Julian's several times. Both dining in and taking out. The pizza is delicious, my favorite has to be the Manhattan. I also went in during restaurant week and their fettuccini carbonara was out of this world. The creaminess is the sauce was delicious and the easy over egg just complimented the dish so well. For sure should be an item on the menu. The Penne a la vodka is also delicious, Julian's Cavatelli is good. I must say that their wings are also delicious! They're perfectly crispy and the garlic Parmesan ones have to be my favorite. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I'm not from Westport but will go to julians any time I am looking for a good meal. And if you ask for a salad, make sure you ask for their homemade crispy onions.
