DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE We bought a "new" washer and dryer from Julie's Appliances (7200 Eldridge Parkway) on February 17th. The manager is Jim Hannington and one employee Cheri Lynn Hernandez. There are several locations around Houston that all belong to Rom Patel. We bought the "new" washer and dryer for $450 (delivery/install, 90-day warranty, and hookups included). They were delivered on Monday the 19th. The delivery person did not bring any of the hookups and did not install them. I told him we were supposed to receive them and he basically told us that wasn't his problem. We called Jim. He said he had forgotten we had paid for that but we could drive over to the store to get the parts. We had used the washer a few times when it started leaking from the bottom. We tried to call Jim and he said he would have his "repair guy" call us to set up a time to come out. He never called so we had someone to come out and see if they could figure out what the problem was. They weren't even here for 5 minutes when they found the problem and told us it wasn't fixable (picture attached). There was a huge hole in the drum (not detectable without inspection). We called Jim while they were here and sent him the picture of the issue as he requested. And he said he would have someone come out to replace it with a brand new one that evening. We waited and no one ever came. After trying to contact Jim (calls and texts) AND messaging Cheri we told them we just wanted our money back and didn't want to deal with it anymore. They are refusing to refund us and now telling us WE need to bring it to them to be "repaired" (after he said he would replace it with a new one because this one is unfixable). I have been speaking to Cheri through messages about everything. We keep getting different answers from everyone and no one can tell us anything straight. I made the mistake of ignoring the reviews and purchased a 'new' washer and dryer from a Mr. Jim Hannington at the location on Baker Road on Saturday December 29th. I was told appliances would be delivered on Monday December 31st. New Samsung's with one year warranty. I gave away my washer and dryer in anticipation of new ones arriving. Well Monday rolls around, no delivery. I was finally able to get in touch with someone and they assured me it would be the following day. I finally received a call back from Mr. Hannington the following day. Surprise...my new machine supposedly had an issue. But he assured me that they would be getting new ones the following week. This went on for several weeks. Keep in mind that I had no washer and dryer since I gave mine away. I was getting frustrated and asked for my money back. Mr Hannington told me he spoke to the owner a Mr. Ram Patel and they had a solution. They proposed bringing out a new set... That was badly dented and that they would swap it out once a new set came in. I asked if both machines were new and was assured they were. This was near the end of January. 3 weeks after original delivery was supposed to happen. The delivery person arrives and tells me that if I want the machines installed...it's additional fee. Even though I paid for delivery already. With no other option, I paid the ransom. My machines were brought in and the dryer was obviously used. The seal around the door was sagging, the lint trap is warped and there is a bunch of old lint in trap. In addition, someone else's address is taped to top of machine. I contacted Jim Hannington who said delivery guy must have given me wrong one...but no matter because they would be switching it out. Okay..great However, as a couple weeks went by with no response to my texts and calls...I realized that they had no intention of honoring their agreement. Mr Hannington continued to post new machines on Facebook under the name of Ken Moore. I have voice recording and texts in which Mr. Jim Hannington states the machines delivered are only temporary and I would be getting new ones. Fast forward a couple of months and the dryer stops working. I attempted to contact Mr. Hannington several times. He read my messages, but didn't respond. I finally was able to get a response from another employee whose number I had. She informed me that I would need to bring dryer in for any warranty work. I ended up having an appliance repair company come out and turns out the heating element was broken. He also noticed several other things that were wrong. The pulley was bad as well as a couple of the rollers inside had been replaced with older ones. All told I had to spend $300 on repairs. I will be filing in small claims court next week. I have voice recordings, text messages from Mr Hannington that clearly state the washer and dryer combo that was delivered was to be replaced with new set. And that Mr. Patel was aware of situation. read more

Oh my God! This hole in the wall is the worst place I've ever experienced! EVER! They rent a garage space in a creepy af and shady looking warehouse storage strip. I messaged their Facebook Market Place add regarding a used refrigerator for my garage. Jim Hannington responded quickly to all my questions. A used fridge was purchased for $175 + $75 delivery fee, cash. I was promised a delivery no later than Monday. There was no delivery as promised, nor a response to my numerous calls and texts. When my refrigerator stopped working I planned on having someone come fix it myself as long as the cost would be under $200. After having it assessed I found out the part I needed to be replaced would be $400. I reached out to the business told them I had a repair man to look at it and I know the part I need. I was told no problem we have many fridges. I will get you that part and you would be able to fix it yourself and pay that repair man if you wish to. That sounded great to me because my refrigerator wasn't located locally. A week goes by no communication so I go back a 50 mile roundtrip and ask if you had found the part no and now you now you want me to bring my refrigerator in to have you repair it. Now I am a little bit upset for sure and frustrated and also confused how you will be able to repair refrigerator without the part. When I call and I used aggression from my frustration. I was met with the same as a customer. After this unkind phone call I went ahead and brought the refrigerator. That was met with confusion to why I drove through the snow to bring it. Which led to a little over a week and a half without any form of communication because as many have experienced my phone number was blocked and messages ignored. Then I finally got a message "ready come get it" ok great been almost two weeks yay. I make arrangements to get I arrive to find out guess what it is not ready they don't even have the part it is on order. I messaged asking why I was lied too no response or regard for my humanity. After all that and no response I find out I was blocked. Then I get home realized I don't have the recite any more seems to me like someone has taken it I'm very organized and keep things. What tricks and scam will they do now I'm thinking. Still never found or got the recite. Too my shock on the two and half week mark it's working and ready to go. Great let's get it back into my SUV after asking and asking what was repaired with a response of they did not know because they are not the ones who repaired it. I was then told it was actually my fault because I was the one who put it in lying down in this SUV to begin with and if I continue to do that it would continue to break. That would've been very helpful information to have told me when I bought this fridge. Great rented a truck and brought it home get it in the door wait an hour plug it in guess what it doesn't work it's doing exactly what it was doing when I left! After getting extremely heated and pacing around the house after a few hours the temperature started to drop and the fridge stopped acting as it had. It's fixed for how long not sure? But I am sure they do not want me to return to get a repaired if that falls within the year warranty. These are not the practices of good business. My plea to owner and staff I believe you strive to be a better business and I believe you can achieve it. That is evident because either you're the business owner or staff for the company is the only good reviews of five stars I see. In order to do this of becoming a better business there is three steps you need to do. First step repeat after me The customer is always right that means if the customer is wrong they are still right this means if a customer yells at you are not to sink to that level. Second step honor your warranty never question the customer if you are not making enough money then raise your price on this and if you don't want to honor parts of a warranty state that upfront not in arrears. Step three correct your wrongs I read a review and we are going through COVID-19 at the moment and you wronged a nurse who is working extremely hard you have added stress to her life and in my case you have wronged a teacher. Currently the way you practice business you are earning dirty money. Do these changes be better strive for excellence not cheating. This is your wake up call!! If you continue down this path you will not be in business for long and not earn repeat customers or get the networking of past customers who had good experience. Hi guys, I wanted to bring to your notice a scam that has been taking advantage of quiet a few people of which me and my family are also a part. We bought a used refrigerator and dryer from a place called Julies appliances, located at 7200 Eldridge parkway, on the 27th of January, paid the manager a Mr. Jim Hannington $250.00 deposit and the rest $550.00 on delivery, he gave us a 90 day warranty also. Upon delivery the guy who delivered wanted $50.00 delivery charges, which was not the part of the deal, he said he would leave the fridge outside our house, so we paid him the amount, but when he installed the fridge we noticed that the light would not turn on and it would not dispense water. Mr Hannington assured us that he would be sending a technician the next day to fix the problem. No one showed up. Every single time we went to him which was 6 to7 times we were assured that today he would send someone and exchange the fridge but no one came. At this point we were very frustrated and asked for our money back but this lady, we presume Ms Julie jumped in and very rudely told us that we had broken the fridge ourselves and should not expect a refund or exchange. We told them that we would sue if they did not keep their part of the deal and very arrogantly we were told to do what we can. Upon further investigation we found out that they had done the same thing to many other people and that sueing them was not an option since this store and many other like these belong to some other person altogether who is not in the picture named Rom Patel. LIARS AND THIEVES! This business lists appliances on Craigslist pretending to be selling as individuals rather than a business. I went there thinking I was buying a fridge from a single owner rather than a scratch-n-dent. I ended up getting a 4-door fridge that looked nice and I paid extra for delivery. The sales guy assured me it was in working condition. It actually took them three days to deliver it and once I got it plugged in it NEVER WORKED. I had a repair guy come out and after an assessment he told me that the compressor on the fridge was fried and would cost more to fix than what I spent on the fridge. Contacting Julie's appliance to get this fixed has been a NIGHTMARE. They almost NEVER answer the phone. They do most of their business over text message it seems. I left countless messages and it took over two weeks for them to offer to exchange the broken fridge for a new one. I went out there to pick one out and they literally only had one that was even close to the original one I purchased. I agreed to do the swap and it has now been three MORE days of me calling all day every day to find out when the fridge will be here. Yesterday they told me that the fridge was on a truck on the way, but it never arrived. Now today they are telling me that the original sales guy I was dealing with was fired and that my replacement fridge has mysteriously disappeared. They are telling me they won't do a refund and that I can bring the fridge in for an exchange, yet they don't have any fridges like the one I got before. Hmmm. I don't even have a vehicle to haul a fridge, so even if I go through with an exchange I lost money on the delivery fee for a broken fridge. I bought a refrigerator from their warehouse on Antoine just south of Veterans Memorial. They have another location on Eldridge. Before it was delivered they took the nice doors off and put old crappy ones on. I know, I took pics. The water line in the door was cut and I had to replace the main valve that distributes the water. To be fair, the fridge itself works fine so far but it's only been a month and who knows what else they did before it was delivered. The point is, they did not give me what I picked out and paid for. This place is god awful. As a property owner of over 100 doors, I tried to give them a chance. Initially, when I went to purchase an oven from them here and there it was ok. However, I called two days ago for 5 refrigerators and got a quoted price. When I showed up, I was told the price changed from the time I called, and it was now more expensive quoting that they are now paying for marketing and they had to pass that cost to consumers. I also paid for delivery. I was told that they would be on their way between 2-3. I called at 4:30 and was told they were about to leave. When they arrived to deliver the units, they didn't bring them into the apartments, but rather left them in the parking lot and left saying that they didn't get paid to "install them" as if bringing them inside of the ground level apts was hard to do. When I called, the girl who answered the phone said she only made min wage and doesn't control the drivers. This is the most unprofessional, poorly-run "business" I have ever encountered, and I will never do business with them again. Yes, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I REPEAT DO NOT. They sold us a fridge with water or ice maker not functioning and now they expect me to return it myself for repair....not happening. Also, I wasnt home to test it when they delivered but my wife was but forgot to test the fridge. The fridge that they delivered was heavily dented by the driver as well during transportation. I verified the water/ice issue by even buying a new filter and checking the water source behind the fridge which are fine. After I spoke to Tabita about it and even have texts proving it wasnt working as delivered she still wasnt willing to pick it up themselves. She stopped replying my texts or answering my calls. PS. The refrigator started mal functioning two weeks ago, the ice maker did not work as far as dispensing regular or crush ice .
