You can't go wrong here. I don't eat at very many local eateries simply because most are not that good (to me). Tailgators is one of the exceptions. Kellcey (owner) and Vicki are super cool. My wife and I are regulars here so they know us by name and we're even to the point where I rarely have to say what I want. Unless I decide to throw them a curve ball they already know. If you, your spouse, or someone in your party is a sports fan, they'll enjoy the decor. TV's everywhere always playing some kind of game, lots of Baseball & Football artifacts on the walls, and even pictures of your most well know players heat wrapped around the tables. Where else could you eat off of Buster Posey's face? Lol. The cheeseburger is damn good. Hand rolled and grilled fresh. The Pulled Pork Sliders are another favorite as well as the French Dip. The salad bar is serve yourself and you can go up as much as you want. To finish off your meal, order the Deep Fried Oreos. Yes, you read that right. You're welcome. The only way I could make this place better is by convincing them to take down the Cubs memorabilia and put more Giants memorabilia up. Considering the Owner and her Husband are huge Cubs fans, I don't foresee that happening. Hey, nobody's perfect

It's OK. Nice place, decent food, friendly service and . . . . there are not a whole lot of other options in Yerington. I had been to this restaurants many times before when it was Scobie's, so I was happy to see that a new restaurant had opened in it's place. It has not changed a whole lot from before except there are some additional TV's and a LOT of sports posters and paraphernalia on the walls to really let you know this is now a sports bar. So for atmosphere - I give it 3 stars. The sports bar thing is not a big plus for me. It was mostly a late lunch group while I was there and the TV over the bar was not intrusive. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. The lone waitress brought me my menu, took my drink order, and brought me my drink right away. And then I waited. And waited. She did eventually come back, took my order and I was served within a reasonable time. She did apologize for the wait. She was friendly and my food was hot from the kitchen. 3.5 stars. I imagine the service is usually better. The food was actually pretty good. I had the grilled Pepper-jack Pastrami sandwich with an order of fries. The sandwich was grilled with a nice balance of meat and cheese on parmesan sourdough. It was golden brown and the bread had just a bit of buttery, cheesy crunch. There were pepperonis on the sandwich which was an extra spicy addition to the sandwich. The fries were real potatoes and were crispy and hot. The food was a solid 4 stars. At $8.95 I thought it was a little pricy, but not bad as the Pastrami tasted like the real thing and not processed. Would I drive out of my way to eat here? Probably not. But I think it is a solid choice if you happen to be in the area.

TL; DR Cannot recommend…read more 3:15 PM Wednesday I'm the only one in the place. Bartender says hello and what can I get ya. I asked for something like a pale, maybe local? Blank stare. "OK, what's that tap right there?" "Uh.....(reads tap)....says it's a wheat ale." Sounds good. I'll have a pint o' that, please. I had heard that this place had good pizza and I was looking forward to a personal/small/similar. Looking at the menu, I see there's only one size. "What size is your pizza?" "We just have the one size." "What size is that?" "Uh...I dunno. It's....its a large." "Okay, how big? This big? THIS big?" Shrugs. I ordered some wings. Bartender starts practicing cornhole. My beer runs out. I wait five full minutes, then walk over and ask if I might have another beer. The guy throws one more beanbag and then walks back behind the bar. I ask what my other beer choices are and after he names five kinds and stops talking, I figure that's all. I order. The wings came and they were okay. The extra hot sauce had zero heat, but whatever. Two li'l pieces of celery and one carrot; some canned BC dressing. The barkeep never did come and make sure everything was OK with the order. He spent the remainder of the time looking at his device. I paid my bill and did not leave a tip; no regerts.

I had the Gambler Steak Burger with garlic parmesan fries. My brother got the Blackened Salmon Ceasar Salad. I was surprised when the waiter said "good choice the salmon here is delicious". They have wild caught king salmon delivered twice a week. We split our food. The salmon was as good or better than any piece of salmon I have ever had. It melted in your mouth. My burger was cooked medium to perfection. Super juicey and delicious. Among the best burgers I have ever had no joke; they grind their own meat. The hand cut fries were really good too. Service is friendly and attentive. Great beer selection and plenty of TVs to catch the game you are after. We liked it so much that we went back and ordered the same dishes the next day and they were perfect again. They passed the consistency test. Yes two days in a row; thats how good it was. I looked at the bad reviews and it must have been off days for those bad experiences.

They probably use corn starch instead of flour, because they aren't overly breaded. Shoutout to the prep workers there (whatup Zoe!), because the food is like crazy good, hot, and fast. For most of the food, they have this insane rotating grill that you can see from the street. Super cool operation Steak salad is a must as well. It's so refreshing! It's got a balsamic dressing, some bleu cheese, and either raisin or dried cranberry and maybe walnuts. I don't actually know because I shovel it down my throat lol. Burgers are the best in the area. Even their less popular items are very well done. Recently got a sausage and peppers sandwich that was as good as what I routinely make at home. Atmosphere is amazing. All the employees go above and beyond. I usually sit at the bar and play any of their video gambles. You win some, you tip extra, you leave happy. You lose some and get some beers on the house. I'll go there if I go to Nevada beaches, or if I want to catch a game. South Lake resident and I generally avoid stateline for it's crowds but I'll head up to Lucky Beaver just for the food. I'm assuming they do PPV MMA fights which is another excuse to show up going forward Shoutout to Bruno as well. Awesome bartender. There's also a few awesome gals who's names escape me at the moment. It's a super chill place while having a great vibe and energy The other patrons are just fun people, it's easy to have a conversation with the guy sitting next to you. It's a well known place but I think it's still a hidden gem amongst all that chaos lol. For a 24 hour place, it's very chill. Never had a bad experience. It's good for hanging out with friends but I wouldn't hesitate bringing my nieces and nephews and whole family there. Only critique is parking. They don't comp it, but all parking is paid now at the casinos, so it's no surprise, that's just the standard.. I think if you get in and out in less than an hour parking is free, so keep that in mind. You can also park further away at other free parking areas and walk.

He said it didn't matter, that the sign out front says 21 and older, and I need ID to prove it. So I went back to the parking lot to get the ID from my car, and I showed him my ID. I also suggested, in summary, that he might be less curt about compliance. He interrupted me and said that I argued with him when he demanded ID. I tried to remind him that I only asked a question when he demanded ID. It was impossible to have a conversation with him, as it seems like he didn't want to listen, but just bark orders. However, service has been a challenge during each visit. On our most recent visit, it took about 20 minutes to be seated with a party of four, including a child, even though there appeared to be open tables. After sitting down, it took several minutes before we were greeted. Our server brought waters and later took drink orders, but there wasn't much communication about timing or whether they were short staffed. Once we placed our order, we waited close to an hour for our food. We completely understand that restaurants can get busy and staffing can be tight -- we just would have appreciated a quick update along the way. A little communication goes a long way and helps set expectations. When our food arrived, part of the order was incorrect (we had requested a salad and soup substitution but only received fries). The server corrected it, and the food itself was good. It did come out at different times, and we noticed another table seated after us received their food much sooner, which was a bit confusing. We truly want to support Roy's and hope this feedback is helpful. With stronger communication and smoother service flow, it could be a great experience.
