It was flooded outside. So I had to make some quick moves for dinner. So Jumbo was the spot. It's located in the Foodlion shopping center off Princess Anne Rd. When I walked in I was greeted. The restaurant has a few tables inside to dine in, but it's small. They have a plexiglass window so you put your money inside of a drawer so there doesn't have to be contact. I guess it's something they did since C-19. The guy who took my order was nice. I ordered sweet and sour chicken combo with a shrimp roll. The food was done in 5 minutes. Pretty quick!!! We really had high hopes after reading reviews. The general tso chicken was bland. While the sauce was spicy and sweet it was also watery. The shrimp egg Foo young was awful. The "gravy" was so dark it was inedible. read more

Just a take-out place that would whip out your dishes under 15 minutes. I like their house maifun & their veggies always taste good. I also like their Szechuan chicken. It's not quite a traditional Szechuan chicken but it can be pretty addicting. Just a little tip, I would always order everything with less salt. Otherwise, their dishes are way too salty. Another not so great thing is their battered meats e.g. sweet and sour dishes. I mean the price point is on the cheaper side but barely any meat inside. The sauces are good though. read more

With lots of Chinese restaurants in the area, it can be hard to find the best spot so I checked Yelp before going with Jumbo Chinese tonight. I'm glad I went with this place. I called to order takeout and the person taking my order was helpful and repeated the order carefully back to me before hanging up. I went with eggrolls, fried wonton, veggie fried rice, and General Tsos chicken. The order cost about $25. The restaurant still has a lot of COVID precautions including requiring masks and a kind of plastic barrier at the counter. They pass food, payment, and receipts through little lockboxes on the counter. The food smelled so good on my drive home! I could smell delicious sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and other yummy ingredients. All of the dishes were fresh and hot. There were a lot of limp pieces of what looked like Romaine lettuce in the fried rice- not my favorite, but otherwise the fried rice was very good. The chicken was crispy with plenty of sauce. I had the Szechuan chicken and it was incredibly bland. Even the fortune cookie was stale. Like, how does a wrapped fortune cookie get stale? And mine wasn't the only one stale. I had about 5 bites of the chicken and gave up. read more

Best place in the area for quick new york style Chinese take out. Best general tsos in the area.. This is the only place I eat Chinese at now. Their pancit is awesome too!! The only complaint I have is their steamed and fried dumplings are way too doughy. I even tried to recook them again but it must be the type of wrapper they use. They did however offer to replace them or refund them. Their dumpling sauce I will say is out of this world. Just need something to dip in it read more

Yelp did not fail on this one! Yes, standard take out menu, but I think this one is one of my faves. Super friendly, super fast, super yummy! I really wish their kitchen was out front more, love watching them cook, flipping my noodles in a wok filled with flames! Love their dumplings, the filling is just so tasty! Their specials board is quite interesting. .. fried rice with sausage... tried it and it was yummy! While I waited for my food, which took about 10 mins, there were 15 other people that came and went! The guy at the counter knew each by name... love that! read more

The staff were super friendly and the service was incredibly fast. However, I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special. The chicken itself was dry, but I feel like they tried to mask it by adding more sauce. Honestly, all the food's texture was a little dry (rice included), but had tons of sauce on it in an attempt to mask the dryness. I usually love to save some of my Chinese takeout for later, but this wasn't something I was interested in eating again. I've had much better at other places. The super fast service and the dryness of the food makes me think they just have this food sitting there waiting for someone to order it. read more

Great vegetarian dish ( broccoli with garlic sauce, which was actually mixed vegetables). The mushrooms were divine as they weren't your standard button mushroom. The bell peppers could stand to be halved, but that is a personal preference. The food also had lots of flavor ! read more

I used to order take out from this restaurant long before the pandemic and I've gotten take out from them twice recently. The inside has changed of course...a glass incased station to place your order was installed. I ordered the shrimp lo mein with extra veggies the first time. He asked what I meant and I explained I'd like more of the Napa cabbage, carrots, scallions etc. They did a great job the first time...a little sweet but I was happy with the veggies and the way they'd left a little bit of a crunch. The next week I ordered the same thing and a spicy beef with veggies. They guy kept complaining that he couldn't hear me through the glass. The dishes were okay but not enough beef. I went back earlier this week but they're no longer open on Mondays. Wanted to make sure to add that to my review in case you're in the area and want anything on a Monday. This is probably one of my favorite Chinese spots, and not just because its in my neighborhood......that's just a bonus. Today i got something different, boneless spareribs combo platter that comes with egg roll and pork fried rice. I know, i know what you're thinking....double pork for dinner. Yes, im just that type of girl lol and im glad i did. The boneless ribes were excellent. Much bigger pieces than I've ever gotten any other place. Tender, with a hint of sweetnes and some char on most of them too which is the best part of eating ribs plus hardly any fat on the ribs in the meal. The egg roll was ok and the rice was pretty good. I moved from Michigan recently where Chinese food is everywhere. I don't know why. I'm really picky about my one Chinese meal I always get: kung pao chicken extra spicy extra peanuts. So the wife adnd i went last night. The wife was sceptical at first cause it isnt the most photogenic place around. But everybody knows the hole in the wall is usually the best place to eat. This place rocks!!! The fried dumplings were outstanding!! We also had some pan lo mein and porkfried rice along with sweet and sour chicken and general siao chicken. The chicken content was very good in relation to the amount of breading in both dishes. The fried dumplings were awsome!! Nough said about the dumplings. Very well priced too accross the menu. Be aware that english is their second language so be patient if you want some really awsome chinese. The front lady seemed rude but she wanst trying to be. Quite possibly the worst Chinese food and experience. Unbeknownst to me, it's possible to botch up a Chinese food order. Upon opening the back, the egg foo young sauce was poorly packaged thus causing a puncture and rupturing inside of the bag. Most of the contents were saturated in the sauce. Once we began eating, it was discovered that the sweet and sour chicken was overcooked; the chicken was rubbery and the breading was virtually impossible to bite through. The egg foo young and Mongolian beef had such an extravagant amount of salt coated on, it couldn't be tolerated or consumed. We called to tell them about our order, only to be told it was "our fault" for picking it up 5 minutes later than anticipated (which is irrelevant) and they refused to remake our order, provide a refund, or satisfy us in any way, shape, or form. They will not receive any future business from us. read more
