You can't miss Bodhi's bowl when you walk in! The stall is wonderfully colorful and unique, I loved how it was set up. Tried the salmon tikka masala bowl from Bodhi's bowl, and it was very nourishing! It had lemon rice, some vegetable sambar with lotsa potatoes, salmon with a heaping load of tikka masala curry, honey ginger spinach salad, and it was topped with some pineapple salsa. The vegetable sambar was really good, and I loved that the potatoes soaked up all the curry. My salmon was a little on the dry side, and I think the tikka masala curry was missing just that little bit of flavor, but the bowl overall was pretty good. I've had the poutine in the past and it's delicious! On my most recent visit, I ordered the Red Bird Bangkok per the guidance of the most helpful staff member. I was told the dish would be spicy, and while the Thai curry flavor profile itself was very tasty, there were a couple things I wish had been different. The chicken chunks resembled pre-processed chicken and lacked flavor, so I ended up pushing it aside. The curry was tasty, I just wish there had been more sauce to wet the rice and truly capture the flavors. Overall, I'd give it another go. read more

OSHA VIOLATIONS! I waited for a mobile order that took 20 minutes past the pick up time to be ready. That, alone, was inconvenient, but NOT a deal breaker. I am patient, reasonable and understanding. They ran out of rice, that was the delay. No big deal... but the problem, for me, was witnessing CROSS CONTAMINATION & NO HAND WASHING during the time I was waiting. A young man was working in the back kitchen area. He had long hair, not in a hair net or covered by a hat. That's worrisome enough, but I witnessed this same associate rub his face and nose, without gloves on, then reach into a large serving bowl and sprinkle a topping onto 3 bowls... with the same hand he used to wipe his face and nose. Then, the phone rang at the front counter, and he came up to answer it. He did not wash his hands and returned to working, touching things, BARE HANDED, no gloves. An older lady with short hair, returned from a break, did not wash her hands, put on her hat and apron and jumped back into work. She was very kind to me, but I couldn't believe the lack of cleanliness and the amount of germs that could potentially be spread. Then, a woman, who had also been waiting for a new batch of rice, received her dine in order. She watched the older woman go to the back, bare handed, grabbing toppings and putting them on her bowl, after witnessing this lady touch several different food items and things around the front counter, without washing her hands. This customer looked so disgusted, she literally gasped and put her hand on her chest in shock. She took one bite, then came back and asked for a refund. It was unfortunate because the food looked amazing and the staff was nice, regardless of the wait time, I was happy to give them a try, but seeing everything I saw made me feel sick to my stomach. I felt the need to warn others. I'm all for leaving reviews, but I hate to leave negative ones. This felt absolutely necessary. I went in with high expectations. I had wanted to try poutine for a VERY long time. This bowl of poutine was a HUGE disappointment. Let me start with the fries, they were undercooked, cold in areas, and no amount of hot gravy or cheese curds were going to make up for it. I expected crisp fries. The fries are the main part of the dish! How do you not nail those?! I maybe had 7-8 bites before I was done. The cheese curds were also rather bland. The gravy was probably the star, all things considered. My child, who doesn't have a discerning palette, ate the large portion that was left with minimal complaints. This place is lucky I ordered their mac and cheese as well or they'd be looking at 1 Star. Their Mac and cheese was FANTASTIC! The elbow noodles were cooked well, the cheese sauce was out of this world and their fried onions on top were a nice addition! I set out today to eat Indian food somewhere in Tulsa; somehow that plan mutated and we wound up at Bodhi's Bowl instead. Glad we did! The dining environment experience in the Mother Road Market is not glamorous. However, the variety, quality, and uniqueness of the small food shops auditioning for your business, make up for the state fair, and noisy mall food court, like setting. At Bodhi's Bowl my wife quickly zeroed in on the Falafelopolis: crispy Falafels with sumac, combined with a salad of fresh ginger, spinach, Feta cheese, house-made cucumber Tzatziki, and sweet pickled red onion on herb lime rice. I went for the Red Bird Bangkok, another rice bowl/salad meal with abundant chunks of coconut curry chicken, Thai green beans, chopped cucumber, spinach sprinkled with chopped peanuts. The chicken and the rice were covered with a fantastic slightly spicy curry that took this meal over the top. The ingredients in these bowls were fresh and flavorful. Both meals were delicious! Make it fancy and throw in some caramelized onions, even a fried egg, if that's your thing. I've been to Mother Road Market a few times now, and this is the only thing we've gotten every time. I've also had the bangkok bowl, which was a great combination of flavors. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that the curry was a bit salty for my taste that day, and everything else in the bowl was so good that I would have liked less rice. read more

every time i come to mother road market, i always say that i'll check this spot out next, then end up trying something else, only to repeat that'll check this spot out next. now that it's finally come to, this was well beyond worth the visit. outside of the fact that the first bowl i had my mind on wasn't available, the second option was nowhere near a letdown. i first ordered the el bebe gordito, i was informed that it wasn't available. with the other selections being available (& it was close to closing time), that might've been the people's champ of their selections. looking at the options over & over, i went with the chakra chana: vegetable poriyal, sweet ginger spinach, & pineapple relish. this bowl was close to perfect from the very first bite i took. usually, i find a way to add something to it, whether it's hot sauce, some type peppers, etc, none of that was needed. the cool of the pineapple relish balances the mild spice that trails through the food. there was some type of sauce that was put with the rice, i couldn't tell you what it was, i could tell you that it was a very nice addition. i was so hungry & the bowl was so good, being satisfied is a lack for a better term. if nothing else, get this selection, especially to those who are vegetarian. prices range from $10-12. their hours vary from the establishment (mother road closes at 9 on sundays, bodhi's bowl close at 8 on sundays) & thank you to the chef who made the bowls that were ordered with 10 mins till closing, that was a bonus. they also have special bowls that aren't on the menu, INCLUDING at time they transform into bodhi's burger, which gives me an excuse to make a third visit after i try my original selection, el bebe gordito. read more

i wanted to get the red bird thai bowl but realized my stomach is much smaller than my eyes. i got the thai chicken kids meal bowl and it was still very good and plenty of food for me to take home and save for lunch tomorrow. the curry flavors are great the other vegetable components of the bowl all blended well together (in a kids bowl!) however, i know i'm not a child but the kids bowl is supposed to come with fruit and juice but i didn't receive either of those. i would not recommend the falafel, though, it was too soft and didn't have much of a texture other than mushy read more
