We were in the area looking for seafood and decided to try this buffet. The food was okay--not great, but edible. However, things took a turn when I went to get butter for the crab legs and noticed something floating in it. To my shock, it was a baby roach. Completely disgusted, I showed my girlfriend, and she immediately reported it to management. They did refund us, and we left right away--needless to say, we won't be returning. What made matters worse was the staff's reaction. Our server said, "Oh, not again," and management brushed it off by saying things "fly around" and they have no control over it. But roaches don't fly, and sanitation is absolutely within their control. This is a serious health concern, and I hope the health department looks into it. I absolutely loved the pineapple, honeydew, Jello, and rice, but I wasn't too fond of the grapes because they have seeds in them. Also, the French fries are rubbery and disgusting. But, that's made up for with fantastic garlic bread and Mac and cheese. I just wish they would warn people before they go blasting "Happy Birthday" on the PA system. From the outside this place is unassuming. It's tucked into a strip of stores and you can't see it from the street but don't let that fool you this place is a hidden gem. It's way bigger inside than you think from the outside, they even have a room in the back for additional seating which is nice fore bigger groups of people. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is really good no matter what you like they have options for you...obviously from there are tons of seafood options, but they also have sushi, Chinese food, some American classics, and a nice selection of desserts. Best of all they have an ice cream machine and a cone of soft serve ends of being the best way to end a meal here. 4 stars only because it's a buffet, not all of the dishes are the best I've ever had... the options are all tasty but not super special and some of the dishes lack consistency of taste based on when you visit. For example my first visit the mussels were delicious in a nice sauce, my second visit they had barely any sauce and were slightly overcooked. Overall I'd still return since overall the food is good. Once inside we encountered confusion as the hostess/cashier was doing way too much. Another person came out and attempted to get the line down as it was 3 deep. Coming here for dinner on the day after Christmas, it was quite busy at 6:30 pm with lots of people. There is lots of parking outside nonetheless. There was a festive Christmas tree by the entrance, as well as a coat rack. You pay for the meal before being seated, with the weekday lunch buffet being most inexpensive ($12.75/adult), followed by weekday dinner ($18.99/adult), and then weekend or holidays ($22.99/adult). There is also a carry out option, which is paid by the pound. They distinguish prices for kids aged 6-10 versus kids aged 3-5, with the latter being the cheapest. These prices are very reasonable given the sheer variety and decent quality of the food. There are several rows of hot prepared foods, as well as a hibachi and a sushi bar. At the hibachi, there is an assortment of vegetables and proteins available, including some more seafood options that you wouldn't often find in other Chinese buffet hibachis like salmon and menma fish. Once you put the raw ingredients on a plate, you can ask for a sauce to cook the dish with. I like to ask for the ginger one, specifying less sauce since otherwise it can get a bit too overpowering. The sushi bar here is also great, with fresh fish and a solid variety of sushi options. You can see the sushi chefs preparing the sushi with care. For the buffet's other dishes, they tended to be refilled quite quickly if things ran out. Some of the prepared food can get a bit cold after being out a while, but I think that's just the nature of it being a buffet. They do live up to their name--there are quite a few seafood options. My favorite are the steamed flounder and baked salmon, and they also have stone crab, crawfish, shrimp, raw oysters and clams. I also love my soups, and I'm a fan of their hot and sour soup. The flavor is just right, not too spicy or too sour. The consistency is also just right, and not too thick. I like that they add enoki mushrooms and bamboo shoots in it too, which I don't encounter often. Finally, there is a decent desert selection as well. In addition to the typical soft serve machine, they provide several types of cookies and cakes. They also have a good number of fruits, including kiwis in addition to the usual oranges, honeydew, bananas, pineapples, and apple slices. We went on a Saturday in March 2024. The cost was about $61 plus tip for the two of us. The price of the buffet does not include drinks. There was a LOT of seafood; there was also a lot of a wide variety of other food in general. There is a hibachi bar and a sushi bar. I didn't try the hibachi this time, but the food there looked very fresh. I did try the sushi and found it pretty good. Of course, it was almost impossible to get snow crab legs, as you know if you've ever been to a buffet. People perch waiting for the new batch to be served. The staff did keep diligently filling them at intervals though, so it's not as if they were being stingy with them. The rest of the food was okay. I mean, it's buffet food. None of it was hot, though the temperatures the food was being held at seemed safe. It was just a whole lot of mediocre, under seasoned food for about $30 a person. We have been patronizing this restaurant for many, many years,... ...thru the fire which destroyed it, thru the COVID shutdown, etc. We LOVE eating here. The vast and varied selection is amazing: - Four buffet tables - Sushi Bar, and,.. - Hibachi, which brings me to my one concern... I was the first person at the Hibachi bar yesterday. The chef was prepping meat, with a clever. His hygiene was spectacular; wearing gloves, etc. My concern was that when he cooked my daughter's dish, he cooked a second one right next to hers. The second dish contained an egg, which he cracked, properly discarded the shell, but used the same pair of spatula to keep cooking my daughter's dish. This is a HUGE concern for people who have certain allergies. Mind you, none of us have allergies, but I was thinking about my friend's kids who have acute/severe egg allergies. Fried oysters had a really fishy taste (yes I have had fried oysters before). I felt bad putting some food on my plate to discard shells etc.. as I do not like to waste food but it was inedible. I asked about the lobster claws and was told they ordered them but never got them and that I needed to call next time to make sure they had them. To be fair the snow crab legs were decent and refilled regularly. The sushi rolled were over sauced but the sashimi and tuna tataki was good (better than buffet quality), When I pay almost $40 including tax and tip I expect quality and specialty item to be there.
