It lives up to the name Jumbo because they are pretty large. I did call in my order and still had to wait a bit once I got there but overall everything was fine. Stopped in for custard after my son's baseball game. My son had vanilla custard with cookie dough on top. I had a Dreamicle smoothie. We went through the drive thru so I can't comment on the interior. Both of our treats were good, and we'd go back if we were in the area. read more

Had a chance to grab custard so stopped in Jumbo's in West Bend, WI. They not only have custard but also have sandwiches like Chicago dogs, and burgers. With custards they have a special flavor each day. For the rest, it's chocolate or vanilla. With sundaes you have a large number of toppings you can choose, I went with vanilla custard with strawberries and blueberries. The fruit let me think I was not cheating as much on my diet. Jumbo's is a locally owned and operated custard/drive in style stop. West Bend is lacking on similar style fast food restaurants, so Jumbo's is your best area alternative to the mass produced burgers of McDonald's or Burger King. The staff has always been personable during each of my MANY lunch visits. Jumbo's is very community oriented, donating to youth sports. It's not uncommon to find the mobile Jumbo's stand set up at the High School for Saturday youth football in the fall and at the fairgrounds throughout the County Fair. For those from the Milwaukee area Jumbo's is quite similar to Kopp's. A good size "Jumbo" burger patty. It's not often in a review that I offer a strong recommendation, but for Jumbo's I offer this: The burgers come in a typical no frills white bread bun and some of their sandwiches come in a Kaiser roll. You can request your burger be served on a Kaiser, and that adds just the right touch to lunch. The Kaiser is a slightly smaller bun than their burger bun, but definitely worth a slight size sacrifice. Excellent custard with flavors changing daily. Jumbo's is a definite asset to the area fast food scene and locally owned to boot. read more

Went here while visiting family. We are from Ohio so wanted to eat someplace we don't have back home. The food was great and the portions were huge. We expected that. Well done!!! What I didn't expect was the witty, interactive and wonderful customer service from Jordan. Jordan made us feel welcomed, made us laugh and gave us great recommendations during ordering. I was certain he was the manager, but he was not. I felt so strongly about the level of service we received that I asked to speak to his manager and passed my thanks on. I'm new to the area, was craving Kopps and this was the closest thing we could find in the area. We went in with high hopes and was very disappointed. We waited in line while the staff of high schoolers talked to each other while looking at us but not addressing us. After a few minutes one of them finally came around the corner to take our order with food crumbs around his mouth. After taking our credit card to ring us up he went back around the corner with our card, then reappeared with his phone out, faced it towards us with his finger on the side button, presumingly taking our picture. We then waited 10 minutes for our order. Meanwhile we watched the same kid who took our order dip a spoon and take bites out of the custard bin, never replacing the spoon, but using the same one over and over, contaminating the entire bin. Another employee was emptying the trash next to us, swung the door open and slammed into me, never once acknowledging we were there. Once our food was done it sat under the hot lamps, no one else ordered around us, we were the only open orders. After it sat for 3 minutes a nice middle aged woman who worked in the back came around to call the ticket. It did not seem like her job to do this. She apologized that no one brought it up to us. The burger was dry, fries were cold and under seasoned. The onion rings were over cooked. I'm incredibly disappointed by this visit and won't be returning. I suggest you find a different place for your burger craving. read more

Only had a snack. Tried the cheese curds, fries and onion rings. Plus we had shakes with candy pieces. The rings were awesome. The custard is very good but they need to give larger straws, because the tiny ones cannot suck the candy pieces through and you end up eating it with a spoon. The fries were fair. The cheese curds were like eating erasers. Chewy and lacking flavor. I want to try the burgers, but I will probably get a sundae instead of a shake. read more

Very authentic and delicious Chicago style hot dogs and both custard flavors we ordered were excellent. Disappointed in the little to no attempt at social distancing both inside and outside. Although very nice, not one of the six employees we saw taking orders and preparing our food was wearing a mask. Hopefully ownership will do a better job of training in the future. read more

It's not the worst fast food in the world, but there are certainly better places (although it's debatable whether there are any in West Bend). I make my way to Jumbo's whenever I'm in West Bend to visit my brother. You should know before you go that apparently COVID is just over here. None of the staff wear masks and they don't require guests to wear masks. We went through the drive through and were absolutely shocked to see that not a single employee was wearing a mask, not even the ones at the window interacting with the guests. No gloves. No hand sanitizer. Just handling money and food and laughing and talking. Most of the employees were young teenagers whom I doubt have been vaccinated yet, but hey, must be nice that corona is just over for this place. With cases on the rise again this is extremely unsafe and this was so disappointing to see. Absolutely will not return knowing there are zero Covid precautions taken here. The only reason it even got two stars is because the fries are better than other places around. If you're Covid-conscious you need to seriously avoid this place, it'll be a hotspot within itself. read more

My family LOVES Jumbo's for the food as well as the custard. What I love best about Jumbo's is that they serve REAL hamburgers, not the junk you get at a chain fast food place. I have gluten and dairy allergies and the staff is always very accommodating to me when making my burger and salad. Jumbo's has a very large dinning area as well as outdoor seating and are open year around. The staff is always cheerful which is really nice too. read more

Out of all fast food restaurants I think Jumbo's by far is the best place to go for a Friday Fish Fry. Their battered Fish Fry is crispy and tasty and comes with the typical sides (fries/coleslaw/bread). I prefer the taste of their coleslaw as well over other places. Their burgers are HUGE and fresh and delicious as well. They have a variety of flavors for their malts/shakes and offer Chicago Style hot dogs on the menu as well.
