I have been to this restaurant many times and have always had a great experience but today the experience was above and beyond. The server Sydney was very friendly and accommodating. Service was warm, inviting and attentive. The food here is a wow. Totally unexpected and really delicious. I had the Mushroom & Swiss Burger. The menu suggests, "you'll need a fork for it" and that was no lie. It honestly was one of the best burgers I've had in ages. And the mushrooms? Cooked to perfection. It was juicy, cheesy, messy. Cooked to temp and perfectly seasoned. It was everything an awesome burger should be. My guy had the Reuben. I'll admit this out of the gate: we are corned beef snobs. We abhor the dry, thin-deli-sliced attempts that try to pass as food. We grew up on Benji's, Jake's and McBob's. We love a thicker, moist, pulled corned beef and good gracious--this corned beef Reuben was fantastic. Our mate had a classic BLT. No complaints. Killer bacon. How could that be wrong in any way? Love that they have a salad bar and offered both a soup and chili on a Saturday for lunch. Can't wait to go back. The fried chicken (and buckets to go are offered) looked great. read more

I was coming home from disc golfing at nearby Tendick Park and wanted to grab lunch to go along the way. Between the Greens was a bookmarked place I hadn't been to yet, so I stopped and placed an order to go. I got cheese curds and The Whaler (a three piece cod sandwich) with waffle fries as a $2 add-on. The cheese curds were good. Not super crunchy like I prefer and they retained a little too much grease, but they seemed to be freshly battered, so that's a plus. On paper, $16 (as of 10/6/2024) for a fish sandwich may not sound like a good deal, but the sandwich was HUGE and tasted amazing. The $2 charge to add waffle fries was also worth it as they give you a ton for your money. I'd gladly order this again. Given their name and the golf greens in their logo, I assumed Between the Greens was a clubhouse restaurant at a golf course. Instead, I was surprised to see a country bar & grill that's simply close to a couple golf courses. For a moment I thought I may have been in the wrong place. Glad it all worked out. read more

We have gone several of their times, but recently went. Some of our guests got a few cocktails. I have to admit that we're pretty surprised at how high the barbell was. It wasn't the number of drinks but how expensive the drinks were. Given that this isn't a downtown high class bar with boutique drinks, we felt that the prices were completely high. We walked away completely surprised with the bill. Definitely gives us pause to go there again. At least for a while. read more

We used to like their fish fry but haven't been there in a few years. We went tonight and we're very disappointed. The cod was dry and tough like it was sitting for too long. The waffle fries weren't hot (barely warm). The prices are too high. Not very crowded either so it's not as popular as it used to be. We won't be going back. read more

We were looking for a fish fry in the Saukville area and had considered several places before deciding on Between the Greens because of the AYCE fish fry/salad bar option. For some reason I had expected a more formal dining experience (probably based on the feel I got from the website) and was slightly surprised (but not disappointed) by the very casual bar ambience (peanut shells covering the floor). We ordered gouda mac n cheese bites for an appetizer and it was average, and a small serving for the price (opinion). The AYCE fish fry and salad bar were wonderful and worth the price. The salad bar had all the fixings imaginable plus a few other things like cottage cheese and fruit. There were 2 homemade soup options. I had the clam chowder and it was hands-down THE best clam chowder I've ever had. I crave it every day! I'd go back just for the chowder alone. The fish fry was good - no complaints on the fish at all. The tall Old Fashioneds were tasty but pricy (opinion) and we didn't ask up front the cost so it was a shock when we got the bill. Just a few small things that were not what I would have hoped or expected, but I was very impressed by the AYCE fish fry/salad bar. Will definitely go back, but skip the drinks and appetizers for a little less pricy bill. read more

This is one of the last bastions of a Soup and Salad bars in. Our area. It is good, but don't expect a lot of variety in the offerings. I prefer shredded lettuce which was provided. They had beets that weren't pickled. The only protein on the bare were chopped hard boiled eggs which is fine with me. The chili was good diner chili with good amounts of meat. The atmosphere was loud and festive with the owners booming voice cutting through the ruckus. If you like a Wisconsin experience this is a great place. read more

Between the Greens is the best kept secret in Ozaukee County. I've been coming here for a long time and the food and service has gotten even better over the years. Stopped recently on a trip through the countryside hoping to enjoy their rueben which is tasty. Sad to say we didn't even bother to eat. I am really disappointed that this local eatery is ignoring safety compliance during Covid-19 and frankly, bullying people that call them out and ask them to follow sanitation and safety rules. This was the first time I've been to Between the Greens and I will return. I ordered a patty melt, which is the best I've ever eaten before. My wife said the same about her burger. We also had mozzarella sticks and cheese curds, both were great. Don't let the Karens that complain about masks bring this place down. If I could I'd give them 10 stars. read more

This is a little hole in the wall. The quality of food and the menu selections are pretty unbeatable. Each day they have some kind of special, whether it's food and/or drink. Examples are: Tuesdays - $5 Burgers (any), Talls for Smalls Drinks; Wednesdays - AYCE Chicken Buffet $8.99, $0.75 wings, $1.50 cans of beer Atop these specials, they also celebrate holidays, including novelty ones like National Kahlua day, National Amaretto day, etc. They are extremely active on Facebook, so you can be in the know on what those are. At the time, my boyfriend and I ordered the Reuben (HIGHLY recommended) and the fish sandwich (it can be ordered with the cole slaw on top!). Both were equally amazing. They also had mini latkes as a side which was simple and done well. We heard about this place because of their $5 burger specials on Tuesdays, but I think each special is worth a visit for those looking for great service, a nice atmosphere and affordable drinks to top it off! This is probably one of my favorite places to get a burger. The restaurant itself is very informal. A few handfuls of tables and a bar. It's nothing fancy, so if you're looking for a dining experience beyond the food, this isn't the place for you. The waitress Wes so kind and very personable. We went on a Tuesday, which is $5 burger night. What a deal! It's a 1/2lb burger for only 5 bucks. It can't be best. The burger was juicy and fresh. We will definitely be back. read more

Stopped by on friday 5/29/2020. Scary whats going on and unsanitary. First off the place was packed with people stacked on top of one another with no social distancing during the Covid outbreak. Neither the customers nor staff serving patrons wore masks or gloves. The kitchen door was open and I observed the staff not wearing gloves while handling the food which is a bare hand contact violation. Ready to eat food is not to be touched by bare hands period, especially since their health inspector ordered them to install a handsink by the dishwasher area on nov 19th, 2019. Lack of general sanitation, handwashing, and lack of covid precautions creates a very hazardous situation. Needless to say I left. Former Health Inspector in case anyone wondered. read more
