Been here a few times, the soup's always been a good choice. Would've loved some more sides and seems like they've been reducing the portion sizes. Other than that it's a very solid choice inside the food court. I'm a big fan of the soft tofu and the bold/spicy flavors of the broth, especially on a colder day! Can't go wrong with soup/rice and some sides and I've always enjoyed the simplicity of their menu (with the pictures) so you know what you're getting. Service's always been consistent and fast. Overall, a pretty authentic Korean experience and one of many options to choose from not only in HMart but the surrounding areas off Long Point. The soondae was super fresh and yummy (but no salt - I don't know if they forgot or they don't do it. Next time, I have to remember to request it). I found a new hangover cure and it's not pho. Jumma's Dumpling Ramen. It's just... wow. It's like a waay better version of the any cheap packet ramen you could make at home. The noodles are thicker, very different from the thin foamy Maruchan or Nissan Cup Noodle noodles. (I just said noodles 3 times in a sentence lol). And there's a supple amount of veggies along with soft delicious slow-cooked onions. The dumplings I didn't think I'd like as much as I did. There was so much flavor packed in the meat. It tasted better than my mom's actually, and she makes really good dumplings. (shh don't tell her). They even put egg in the ramen. Idk about y'all, but when I make ramen at home... I'm pretty lazy about it. Even when it comes to egg. This thing was $6.99 and a pretty BIG bowl. You'll definitely get the best bang for your buck with this item. While Emmy friend grabbed food next door, the photos of the food at Jumma caught my eye. So many delicious soups and broths! I was eyeing the soft tofu soup or the Galbi Tang. As you can see from the photo, I ended up with the Galbi Tang cause I wasn't in the mood for crazy spice! The broth was clean and soothing.. a little on the bland side but exactly what I was looking for. It had lots of white radish and onions in the broth, which added to the sweetness. The Galbi was a bit too tough though - I had to chew hard to get it off the bone and everything ended up stuck to my teeth. Not the most elegant meal. But it was good for a food court meal - comes with sides, though the kimchi wasn't my favorite here. It filled me up just right, and only $3.50. It was a challenge to find seating. Because of the H-Mart's layout, all the food court vendors share just a handful of tables. If you have a group of 4, it would be challenging to find 2 tables together during peak hours. The wait was kind of long. I guess it was because of Saturday. Parking was nearly impossible, as well. You can't go wrong with the food court at H-Mart. While it looks like they all offer similar items (with the exception of a few, like the fried chicken or Chinese-Korean stands), they somehow manage to limit the overlap between each other's menu. Their menu board is quite unorganized, but I'd group their food to be of the typical Korean grill and soups, with the additional "exotic" soups (oxtails, blood sausage, etc.). I was initially looking for spicy (shredded) beef soup yuk gae jang, but went for beef ribs for something new. The beef ribs were incredibly tender and just slid off the bone. You can't tell from the picture, but there are glass noodles hidden beneath all the meat and veg, just in case you didn't have enough food! You order from the counter, and wait for your number to be called/displayed on the counter, but this time the ajumma brought my food directly to my table (maybe because it took longer than usual? Who knows, but she was so sweet to do so). read more

Price has gone up from $5 (tax included) to $6 plus tax; yet the gimbap is too scrumptious that I certainly wouldn't mind paying an extra dollar something for such good food! Anyways, 6 bucks is still pretty reasonable for 2 sizable rolls of which each is cut into 10 thin slices. Each rice roll is generously filled with carrot, pickled radish, spinach, eggs, imitation crab meat, etc. and the rice is seasoned with salt and sesame oil. The Ahjumma who works at the front is so sweet and is the main reason I always come back. This restaurant is a no frills place (which I like) and they give you a lot for your money. Stumbled upon this place during our grocery run and the food just looked too interesting that we couldn't resist. My wife and I were walking along all the various choices in the food court and the nice lady at this restaurant was the first one to actually say anything inviting to us. She recommended their most popular dish, and we went with that. Turns out she was right, great spicy kimchi soup with tofu. It also came with a side of fish cake, kimchi, and rice. Total came out to around $8, and I have to say it was enough to feed two people. Out of all the types of Asian food, Korean isn't my most often picked variety, but this place definitely opened up my eyes to realize that there's more to Korean than just BBQ. My friend introduced me to H Mart and Jumma a few years ago. I've been coming back ever since whenever I find myself in the area whether it be to see a movie at Marquee or shopping at IKEA. The dumplings here are delicious. Pork or chicken, they will make your day although I prefer the pork if given a choice. The dumplings will be out before you know it, pan fried to perfection (no seriously, it's so crispy). At 6 bucks and change for 12 dumplings, it's a steal since most times you pay 8 bucks for 6 dumplings or something like that at other restaurants and the quality of the dumplings is often suspect. This place is a must try if you find yourself in the H Mart food court. Also if you buy dumplings with a significant other, they put the dumplings in a heart plate - for you romantic dumpling eaters :P read more

We ordered their bone soup (beef with noodles) and seafood tofu soup. The seafood tofu soup tastes decent. The bone soup was okay. They warned me that it'll be bland and I'll have to season it myself. I didn't like it as much because I wasn't able to season it right with extra salt. Still tasted bland and I had to stop from adding too much salt. Also bought the kimbap at the last minute. Meh. One thing about eating at the supermarket is there are no service to clean the tables. My first experience with H Mart was eating here with my friend. She basically just ordered the dumplings and when I asked if I should order something else she said that I should order whatever I want. I didn't order anything else and waited to try out these dumplings she's been raving about for years. They came out and they were so fantastic. The dumplings are deep fried, which makes them different than normal dumplings you get at Asian restaurants. The pork ones are moist and they definitely don't need the soy sauce they give you with it. As an added bonus, if you come with a date they'll give you a heart shaped plate! read more
