I think I figured out why this restaurant is called Tree Garden. There is a forest around the corner alongside Oak Tree Drive on Long Point Road. The reason I came here was because Super Hmart was closed at 9:30 on Sunday. I pulled up my phone and searched the nearest Korean restaurant that was still open. The direction was clear but I had a hard time locating it. The parking lot is well lit but the sign was not obvious. I managed to find parking at the designated spot. As I walked in, I felt a little claustrophobic because of the tall cubicle walls. They were painted black. Although they provide privacy from the booth over. A friendly lady seated me by the entrance. She must know that I was hungry. We chatted for a bit as I learned it's been open for about 9 years. She frequently checked on me after my dish arrived. I ordered BEEF SMALL INTESTINE NAPA SOUP. The menu said it has tripe but I couldn't find it. This dish has a V symbol, which means it can be a vegetarian dish. Since the pork beef intestines were hard to chew, I made it vegetarian for myself. The banchan had smaller portions. I like them because they were delightful. Kimchi was flavorful. I asked for another bowl of rice ($2.00). Overall, I enjoyed my dinner here. I think I was the last customer at the time. I think I'll be back to try other dishes with V symbols.

I thought the tofu soup was good but super spicy. Bbq pork was good and seasoned well. I didn't think the banchan was that good though. The inside is separated into little booths which I didn't like as much but it allows for some privacy. The service wasn't that fast and they didn't really check on us that much which I don't really mind usually but I needed water for a while before they came.

Can't wait to try this fantastic restaurant out!! We love coming here! Every one is so nice and the food is delicious!

Seafood Pancake

Seafood pancake here was balanced with a good amount of vegetables and seafood. It was the right amount of crispiness as well. The accompanying sauce was tangy and sweet. As for the seafood + soft tofu hot pot, it was quite a generous portion. I've never seen so much tofu in one pot before! Good variety of seafood as well such as octopus, clams, mussels etc. I feel that the hot pot broth was just a bit bland. It could've used either more garlic, soy sauce, or fish sauce even. Initially I enjoyed it but as I kept tasting the soup I realized I was mainly just getting red pepper powder water flavor. I recommend ordering ramen noodles to add to the hot pot. Side dishes here were nothing to write home about. I appreciated having a call button though!

HOUSTON, TX 77055 / KOREAN / 07-25-24 / DINNER +Customer service was good, our waitress checked on us 3-4 times throughout our meal. +The banchan side dishes were superb. +All of the entrees were delicious. +The secluded tables are a nice setup, as you can better converse and a little more quiet than other Korean restaurants. +They provide refreshingly cold, roasted barley water. +At the end of the meal, they provide a fermented rice punch drink. -The portion sizes were a bit on the small side.

Since I was craving for tofu soup, I went there again last night and I can proudly say that this restaurant offers the best vegetarian tofu soup! :) They service is great and generous with the portion of foods! Amazing thing about Koran restaurant is that they give you a lot of delicious side dishes as a part of their service! I enjoy their amazing service a lot! You also get a nice privacy in the restaurant as they have walls around by tables. Very considerate! I'll keep coming here! :) If you have vegetarian friends, bring them here I'm sure they love it! :) Cheers

Always enjoyed this place for its authentic Korean options. Love the traditional private rooms/booths, not too crowded parking options. Good service overall but can get busy. The serving size can be generous but also pricey for KBBQ. I've enjoyed their short rib and decided to try the squid this time, the kimchee pancake is a hit, and the seafood noodle soup Jjamppong was very flavorful. I like how you can customize your spice levels on most every dish, and the menu is fairly descriptive. The small sides options are always good and may include Kimchi, sprouts, potatoes, pickled radish, fish cake, egg, etc. Overall, love the Koreatown area overall and this is one of the higher recommended places especially since they open late.

Would give 10 stars if I could! This place has definitely made my top one Korean restaurant in Houston and I can't believe it took me this long to try it out. You are seated within cubicles which gives nice privacy and the staff were the sweetest people and made this an even more enjoyable dining experience. We ordered seafood pancake which was crispy and came with the garlic sweet sauce with a perfect seafood to batter ratio. We also ordered a beef and octopus hot pot which was the star of the show with large variety of vegetables and slices of beef and chewy octopus which the staff helped us cook, cut and serve to us. The broth was so flavorful that was spicy with a sweet undertone that made it so addicting. I also ordered a Korean ramen with egg which is such a comfort food and the broth was so spicy and flavorful. The side dishes are always such a great addition with their kimchi really giving a tangy kick to the rest of the meal. If you are looking for authentic Korean food with great service, please try this place out! Will for sure be a regular and would love to try out the rest of the menu in the future!

Pork belly and banchan fixings

Let me preface this by saying that this spot gets 5 stars for their cubicle style seating. It's nice to have a little bubble for just our group to dine in. There's even a call button if we needed anything from our waitress. Otherwise, the food was a hit or miss. Plus, it was really expensive for the amount they gave us. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered: Pork belly (4/5): It was pretty good. But, I think this was standard pork belly compared to other Korean restaurants. Banchan (3/5): I've definitely had better and more flavorful banchan. I was hoping for Korean potato salad banchan. None here. Seafood pancake (3/5): It was kind of bland. I've definitely had better. Even the sauce that came with it was just alright Japchae (4/5): It was delicious and flavorful. But, I couldn't give it 5 stars because they gave us so little of it for the price. Seaweed roll (4/5): I loved this. So umami with the seaweed outside and sesame flavored glass noodles. I didn't give a full 5 stars because of price and amount. Fried rice with fried egg on top (4/5): Delicious. Flavorful. Umami. Wished they'd given us more because I enjoyed eating this. Overall, it's hard to say that we'd come back again. It was expensive to eat here, and not feel gypped with the portion sizes we received.

Very non-descript on the outside in a run-down looking strip mall but definitely a diamond in the rough. The interior is very cute and traditional looking with private rooms and cute booths. Servers are very courteous and they have a call button at every table which is very convenient, and also necessary with the way the restaurant is set up. The food here is delicious. We love the japchae, dumplings, dukbokki, seafood pancake, oyster pancake, tofu soups, and the army stew. Everything is flavorful and amazing. However, the side dishes are only ok and their barley tea lacks flavor. But for the most part, their food is great and we will definitely we back.

Stir-fried pork belly and kimchi, Jjajangmyeon, Seafood tofu soup, side dishes
Nina T.

One of the best Korean restaurants that I've been to! They have authentic Korean food and private dining areas/booths. The food is amazing and the service is good as well. We ordered Jjajangmyeon (not the best, I expected a stronger/more flavorful black bean taste), LA Galbi (recommended), stir-fried kimchi and pork belly, and seafood tofu soup. There were not many side dishes but they're ALL SO GOOD so we asked for a refill. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.

Located in the Koreatown area, this place was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm glad I took his recommendation! The big allure of this establishment is the seating. You get your own sectioned off cubicle to eat in. There's also a bell to summon a waitress. I have visited twice now--once for kbbq and once for a hot soup. The menu is pretty varied and offers group meals as well. Definitely go for the short rib if you want the ultimate kbbq experience. The pork belly was good, but the short rib was phenomenal... super delicious and tender. My sundubu was tasty, and the broth was tasty. I wish there was a bit more seafood included. The chive pancake was nice, though I prefer thinner. Definitely keeping this in my rotation!

When I think of the BEST jjajangmyeon in Houston, I think of Paik's Noodle. This location in spring…read morebranch is their original, and I grew up coming here for lunch every sunday after church. 1) Jjajangmyeon: My brother loves getting this one. It is sweet and a bit soupy from all the sauce. The noodles are chewy and bouncy, and get coated in the sauce nicely. There is a good amount of meat that comes with it too! The flavors are great. 2) Jaengbanjjajang: This is my go-to and personal favorite noodle dish to get here. It is similar to their original jjangmyeon except that it is less soupy and has a bit of spice. The spiciness adds a nice kick balancing the sweet and savory flavors. There are also lots of different mix ins like squid, shrimp, beef, and vegetables! The play on textures and contrasting flavors is why I love this dish 3) Spicy Chicken Wings (Yangnyeom): For not being a chicken wing restaurant, Paiks sure does serve some banger wings. Juicy big wings with a slight crisp on the outside. The sauce is amazing. It is that sweet and spicy yangnyeom korean fried chicken sauce. 4) Tangsuyuk: I never visit Paisk without ordering their tangsuyuk. Perfectly fried with a great chew. The pork is not too porky or gamey which is nice, and the sauce is a sticky sweet and sour sauce. 4) Gunmandoo: Their panfried dumplings are quite nice too! I haven't gotten them in a while, but they were solid Overall, I don't think there was a single dish I disliked here at Paiks. Service is standard, not too fast not too slow. The ambiance is not really one for dates or anything. It's super casual with metal chairs. It can get a bit cold. There are restrooms and water dispensers. They used to have the self serve yellow radish but now they just serve it with your meal. You have to clean your table yourself and put all the dish trays in the back
