Sesame Chicken & Egg Fried Rice

Loveee the sesame chicken!! The sauce is sweet and the fried rice is flavorful & savory. My fiancé enjoys the sweet & sour chicken. I'm from New York and I'm on the hunt for good Chinese & Asian food. Great place :)

June House Asian Kitchen is okay if you're looking for a quick bite, but there were a few things that held it back for me. I ordered the Sesame Chicken lunch special, which came with rice, a veggie spring roll, and a cream cheese wonton. The sesame chicken had decent flavor, but it was a little over-breaded. All the fried items had a slight burnt oil taste--not terrible, but definitely noticeable. I've experienced that before with New York-style Chinese food, so it may just be part of their cooking style. I also got a pork egg roll, and that was a letdown. The outside was cooked well and crispy, but the center was still cold--clearly cooked from frozen, not refrigerated. The restaurant itself is definitely geared toward takeout. There's very limited seating, and even dining in, everything was served in a to-go box right away. It's not the kind of place you'd go for a dine-in experience. Overall, the food was passable, the prices were reasonable, and the service was fast--but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

First time stopping by. The general taos chicken was great. The rice tasted burnt and blah. No egg really and hardly any other vegetables with it. Other than that it's a quick Chinese to go night meal.

This is the second time we ordered from here, only because I didn't leave a review previously; so lesson learned. We did a pick up order of 3 entrees and app. When I went inside and was handed the bag, I specifically asked: Is this the only rice, the counter guy said: No, that's the small container, there is a large one inside. Not willing to tear the bag apart, I took him at his word. I get home and with little surprise, found that the one container of rice was it. The pic does not do it justice, but that is not enough rice for 3 entrees. Food: The orange chicken was decent, on par with Panda, the kung pao was pretty good and the Mangolian beef was not edible. Not sure what sauce they use, but it was nasty over random shreds of beef. Overall: I wish they were better, as they are so close to our new house. Unfortunately, we will continue looking for a better option in the area.

Good little dim sum spot. I enjoyed their spicy wontons those were the best , the soup dumplings were also good but a little too hot at the moment to enjoy. Their garlic edamame was also delish. Their chicken fried rice was good but the chicken was a bit bland & their miso soup was delicious as well. The service was quick and ambiance was chill very quiet place at

Are you open on Christmas Day?

    yes. We are.

Does June House currently have dining in? How many people can they seat?

Yes, they have a small dining room available for in house meals. About 6 tables. It is not fancy but it is clean, service is fast and the food is decent. We did take out. We had some of their dim sum and a rice plate that we liked.

The food is consistently outstanding, and the warm, attentive service keep us coming back time and time again. On this visit, we ordered the sautéed whole lobster with green onions and ginger, beef lo mein, shrimp lo mein, walnut shrimp, and fried rice. Every dish was prepared beautifully and packed with flavor, but the lobster was truly divine. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and infused with the aromatic flavors of fresh ginger and green onions, it was one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression long after the meal is over. The beef and shrimp lo mein were equally delicious, with rich savory flavors and generous portions, while the walnut shrimp was perfectly crisp with a delicate sweetness that balanced the dish beautifully. The fried rice was the perfect complement to everything on the table. We also enjoyed a few sake bombers, which are hands down the best we've had anywhere. To be clear, I am a New Yorker and know good fast Chinese food. The ambiance was promising. It looked like I was finally going to find what I've been looking for in Phoenix for years. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.

A Mesa Asian District Gem Worth Seeking Out…read more Asian Cafe Express is a lovely strip mall gem near H-Mart in Mesa's Asian District, and after 21 years in business, it clearly has a loyal following for good reason. We brought in a fresh lobster from H-Mart to try their "bring your own seafood" cooking option and chose the garlic onion stir fry preparation. It's $14.99 for anything under 2 lbs and $7.50/lbs for anything over. It came out excellent, served over crispy egg noodles with classic Asian flavors and plenty of wok-fired goodness. We also enjoyed the Peking pork ribs, which were deboned, tasty, and slightly sweet; the stir-fried green beans, which were fresh and well prepared; and the garlic spicy chicken wings, which were especially flavorful and highly recommended. The red bean drinks were traditional and satisfying, with soft, nicely soaked mung beans and no milk. Service was friendly, efficient, and personal, handled by a couple of ladies who clearly know the restaurant and their customers well. While we were there, plenty of regulars came in for takeout and several tables were happily dining in. Overall, we really enjoyed Asian Cafe Express and were surprised we had not stopped in sooner. Highly recommend, especially for the "bring your own seafood" cooking option and the garlic spicy wings. We will definitely be back.
