Trust your server! My friend and I had no idea what we wanted to eat so we gave the server these parameters: curry with beef, something mostly vegetables but without curry, soup. You can tell from the pictures that everything was pleasing to the eye, but the bad thing is that I lost my receipt so I can't list the names of the dishes, but everything was so flavorful and each dish was distinct so we were so glad to have trusted our server and for a fun experience, you might want to do the same. We loved the clean, quiet, well decorated atmosphere with lovely Thai art and a fun pic of Guy Fieri's visit. Even the bathroom was decorated nicely. Can hardly wait to return!

The food is excellent it balances savory with functional heat and they are not stingy with the portions If you eat with your eyes first then you will be full before you ever take a bite. The service was excellent and very attentive. Restaurant is is not very big but it is clean and cozy. I am coming back here soon and you should definitely check this place out.

Came at lunch time on a Wednesday. It was not busy. We opted to sit outside because it was a nice October day and it was pretty loud inside. The good: The food had amazing flavor. I had Beef Kiewan. It was a good portion. Nice and spicy but not too spicy, and had two kinds of eggplant. It came with a spring roll, which was standard but tasty. The ok: the green beans seemed a little undercooked. Service was pretty nonexistent. After dropping off the food no one came back until we were done and ready for the check. The water didn't taste great - like melted ice. Still giving it 4 stars because the food was tasty and I'd go back and try other things.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I met up with a group of people here for dinner one evening and we were seated outside on the patio, which felt intimate as no other groups were dining out there at the same time. Even though it is the summer, it felt comfortable out there as the sun set and the misters kicked in. Our server was wonderful and handled our large party with understanding and grace, splitting our checks and making sure our waters were full. I started with the fresh rolls appetizer with tofu. These had a beautiful presentation and the quantity was good. The peanut sauce was so tasty, I could have easily used another one. The rolls were fresh as advertised, but a bit boring without any sauce. For my entree, I ordered the fat ones dish: fat rice noodles, spicy chili-garlic, basil, broccoli, carrots, sweet onions and snow peas. Again, presentation was lovely as the colors of the veggies were bright and appealing. Spice level was accurate as well, definitely spicy. However, the dish was missing more flavor, would've loved some sauce to add to it. Portion size was not as big as I expected after seeing my companions' dishes and I had no leftovers. I had an enjoyable dinner here with my group and service was excellent.

10/10. Easily one of the best Thai spots I've ate here in Phoenix. Staff was super nice. Met with a friend and randomly decided to go here, so glad we did.

    Dinner Menu: Pad Thai

Wild Thaiger was more-or-less in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. The restaurant served traditional and unique food choices. The Pad Thai was presented well, the flavor was good, but leaned on the drier side. The Dragon Eggs tasted great and had a nice kick! I would compare the dessert to any typical dessert at a sit-down restaurant. Service was good and the inside of the restaurant was just fine.

Very interesting spot. We actually pulled into their parking lot to look for somewhere to eat. Decided to give it a shot. We sat outside - it was a bit noisy but our friend and my husband wanted to sit outside so there we sat . Service was great, everyone takes care of everyone. We didn't have a chance to need for anything. They were on top of it. Hubby had the Volcano said it may reminded him of a lettuce wrap you would get at PF Changs except with a nice kick. He said it had the perfect amount of heat and really liked it. My friend ordered the Broccoli Beef and she it was very tasty - she picked around it so I am hoping she was honest. She is very nice and doesn't complain much. The sticky rice is super sticky and my husband said it was delicious - so pretty authentic and everything is presented beautifully. If you do not like cilantro be sure to ask them to not put it on anything - they added it to everything. I hate Cilantro and it's not advertised on the menu that they garnish everything with it. I ordered an appetizer that was wrapped in paper and had veggies and chicken. The peanut sauce wasn't my thing, so the waitress suggested the plum sauce - wayyyy too sweet so the waiter suggested a vinegar like sauce. Did the trick as the chicken was super dry. Everyone was pleasantly surprised with the food. My husband said his pork dish was very fresh. One thing I would check is to see if they have MSG in their food. Could be a coincidence but I ended up within a migraine in about 30 minutes after having dinner.

Chill lil thai spot we grabbed before we went to the Heard Museum. Lunch special pricing was great and the portion sizes fit the bill. Overall nothing crazy, just normal Thai food. Not bad.

The atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed dinning here for lunch. My brother and sister in law loves to eat here every time they visit Arizona. This was our first time and we really enjoyed it. The food is great... they offer different levels of spice to your dish. You can tell that everything is made fresh to order and I like that. You will definitely enjoy this restaurant if you're ever in Arizona. We will definitely dine here again when we return. Our waitress was very nice.

So yummy! A little gem. The Mu Yang was delicious. The pork was perfect, the sticky rice was soooo good, and I loved their papaya salad. I could eat this everyday, it was so fresh, light, and tasty. My friend got one of the noodle dishes with chicken - I think The Fat One - and he got it spicy. They truly make things spicy here so be aware if you're ordering :) he loved it and orders it often. The dragon eggs were also yummy! We got half crispy and half steamed. Love the sauce they came with. I could've eaten them all myself easily. I think the inside is super cute. It's nothing fancy, but they have a great patio for when the weather is nice. We didn't get any drinks but they do have a full bar. Service was great too. Can't wait to go back!

Food was good, not great, but very pleasant. Greeter and server were attentive and fast. Drinks were flavorful. I enjoyed the meal and appetizers. Although I'd suggest having the dragon eggs fried, not steamed.

Pad Thai with fried tofu - gluten free ! So yummy
    Jorey C.

Love this place! Very nice interior, we were asked if we wanted a table or booth, which I appreciated. The menu specified which dishes are gluten free (yay). I asked if the other dishes could be modified gluten free and she said no, which I was disappointed because usually they can be modified. But those dishes are probably with pre prepared sauces. I did appreciate there was a specific gluten free pad Thai and that's what I ordered (with fried tofu). I will say this is one of my favorite pad Thais I've had in a long time. It was a huge portion, came out steaming hot, the tofu was so good. The sauce was not too sweet which I have experienced at other places. The food came out so fast as well. There are cute candies up front for the taking too. A nice way to end a meal! Will be back

Say hello to your new favorite downtown restaurant! Wow, where to begin?…read more Service was amazing - they even printed out a small card with our reservation name on it which was presented on our table. Such a cute touch and very thoughtful. Our waitress was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The spot is small and chic. It's very intimate dining so you'll be sitting close to the table next to you. Luckily, it's a quiet and calm space, so no need to worry about noise. The food was incredible. The salmon crudo was possibly the best crudo I have ever had in my entire life. So fresh and the flavors were balanced to perfection. The risotto changed my life... it was so delicious I couldn't even believe it. The only thing I would recommend skipping was the octopus tostada - not my favorite and a little fishy for my liking. Personal preference of course! The duck tasted great and was beautifully presented, but it wasn't my favorite. Again, I'm not a huge meat eater so take my advice on this one with a grain of salt. Overall an extremely romantic and special meal.

To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.

It didn't even taste like alcohol it tasted like vanilla ice cream I'm so serious. It was delicious. Then I had the siren drink. That one wasn't bad at all. We all had a great time and shared laughs and everything. I love the setting of it though. It's a bit dark so we had to use phone lights to see the menu. But it feels like stepping into a whole new world once you enter. I think it's perfect for hanging out. Date night. Anniversary dinner. All of it. Our server was nice. Very friendly. I think he could use a little more on his hospitality just because sometimes I feel like he didn't know what to say exactly. A little disappointed that there wasn't really anything special for a birthday though. Not even a little card on the table that said happy birthday. Just a thought. He then confirmed we were still within the happy hour window and offered to bring us a menu. They used to have an extensive happy hour menu featuring several drinks and food items and now their "happy hour menu" consists of a cheeseburger for $22. Not sure that that really constitutes as a happy hour menu... I asked him why they changed the menu and he put up his hands as if to say he's not to blame and said he doesn't have anything to do with those decisions. He said that "management decided to make a few substitutions but they're pretty good" and didn't provide any further elaboration. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries. I really wasn't impressed by the quality of the food, the portion size, the price, or the service. Unfortunately, I'll be taking Rough Rider off my list of regular places i frequent and restaurants I recommend to others.

For our main entrees we ordered the New England lobster roll and the gemelli pasta with shrimp and scallops. The lobster roll was flavorful but felt like it was missing something. The gemelli pasta tasted a bit bland for my taste buds, but the family member I went with really enjoyed it. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered a crème brulee to share. The crème brulee was nice and not overly sweet. Overall, service was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner.
