Golden wok has beautiful dining room, but today we wanted to get takeout. We ordered our usual suspects...beef chowfun, bok choy, chicken and vegetables, and mooshu pork. Everything was as expected. Flavors and seasonings were spot on. Our favorite dish was the mooshu pork. It had nice crunch from cabbage and mushrooms with plenty of pork strips in each bite. The staff were helpful and friendly. Enjoy!

Ordered take out from here for dinner and we really liked everything we got. We ordered the Beef Chow Fun, Sun Devil Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, and Szechuan String Bean. Everything tasted great and had lots of flavor. The Sun Devil Chicken and Szechuan String Bean were spicy, as advertised, but not overly so. The order was ready in about 20 minutes, so very quick. Would definitely eat here again.

I always love a Chinese restaurant with decent vegetarian options. We have lived in the neighborhood the past decade, and am surprised it took this long to visit Golden Wok. Service was friendly, attentive, and the space was comfortable. Amongst the list of appetizers, vegetarian offerings include the veggie egg roll, veggie lettuce wrap, and veggie pocket. We opted for egg rolls which were yummy and a perfect starter. The soups do not look too veg friendly aside from the tofu soup. It sounds plain and likely something I would not choose. We ordered the tofu with veggies, mixed veggies, and veggie chow mein. The clear sauce in the mixed veggies was perfect as the tofu dish was on the saltier side. The chow mein was just ok. I do not really enjoy the thinner noodles, but the amount of veggies were perfect! Overall, I enjoyed Golden Wok and would love to visit again, maybe even add it to our rotation. I noticed that they had a lot of take out orders AND in person diners. A little different than our typical take out place. Would recommend!

I grew up eating Chinese food, it's easily something I crave all the time, and to satisfy this - the last several orders on my doordash have been Golden Wok! I am so surprised at how tasty and consistent this location is. Almost everything I've ordered hits close to home and leaves me wanting more! Even my toddler will eat the Hong Kong style pan fried noodles (super picky). Every dish has been savory, flavorful, and consistent. When I order from them and try something new I'm always happy and satisfied. Tonight my husband and I were craving Chow Fun (wet style). Usually when you order chow fun it's "dry," with bean sprouts and onions. We submitted our order to see if this was an option, no expectations cause it's not on the menu, wet style with black bean sauce and bell peppers, they did it! So amazing. They also called to confirm what type of peppers! The food has already got me hooked but now that they went this extra mile, I'm a huge fan and will rave about them to all. Give them a go, you won't regret it!

Ew, just look at it! dry, stale, bland, disgusting chicken fried rice

meh....2/10. I was craving chicken fried rice today and decided to get takeout out from Golden Wok. What a huge disappointment. I opened the takeout box and immediately knew by looking at it that the fried rice was dry as hellllll. Tasted terrible. bland, dry, not hot, the chicken was like jerky, there's absolutely zero vegetables in it and it's giving 3 days old. Who makes chicken fried rice without onion, carrots, peas or some kind of veggie? I didn't even bother eating and threw it away. The orange chicken was just as bad. Only good thing was the egg drop soup. Panda Express is significantly better for the money.

We just did a carry out, but we didn't care for the taste of the food. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I've been to China Chili three times now, so I can safely say it's my favorite Chinese restaurant…read morein town. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Friday evening for dinner. They have complimentary parking in the front, side, and back of the restaurant. There aren't a ton of spots, but there's street parking close by too. Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most Chinese restaurants, China Chili is pretty no frills. Which isn't a problem for me at all, I'm there for the food. It's a spacious restaurant with both regular tables and circular tables that rotates (good for large groups sharing dishes). Service (4/5): Fantastic service is also not something I expect at a Chinese restaurant. Yet again, I'm there for the food. With that being said, service, while not overly friendly, is typically pretty efficient. Which I always appreciate. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard soft drinks, tea, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. My favorite option is their buddha beer which you don't see in a lot of places. It's a lager and it's in a buddha-shaped bottle. It doesn't get much better than that. Food (5/5): The first time I came was for one of my favorite dishes... Peking duck. There aren't a ton of spots in Phoenix that have it, but out of the ones that do, China Chili serves it at a high level. You can go with either crepes or baos (additional surcharge). The duck is absolutely to die for. Flavorful, juicy meat with crispy skin that fits in perfectly into your mini "sandwich" with green onions and Hoisin sauce. For a reasonable price too. Their food outside of duck is of a similar quality. I especially like their flat noodles with beef. Even classic dishes like sesame chicken have a twist here. It's sliced chicken rather than fully breaded chicken. Just as good as the typical way, the sauce is delicious. My only complaint? They give you a pretty small helping of white rice with your dish. Outside of that, the portions are generous. Everything I've had at China Chili has been a hit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

There aren't many places in Phoenix that serve duck this neatly like in my photo, and I appreciate that it's not another chain restaurant. Is it the best version of this dish I've ever had, no...but it can be a nice change from the usual options of beef, pork, shrimp, and chicken.

The only flaw there was one thing that went wrong, but I'm not even tripping. I ordered a Kung pow beef and I received the Kung pow shrimp. It's OK. It was so delicious, but I'm gonna have to come back and try that beef. I walked out feeling very satisfied. My stomach felt good. It felt like good ingredients and I only paid $14 and some change and I even got a Diet Coke. Definitely gonna come back for the lunch special because I love the spice. The flavor was really on point. One thing about me is that I love spice I go to specific spots just to eat the spice. Thanks you ; I am slowly disappointed that I didn't receive what I wanted, but it's all good. I wasn't going to say anything just cause like I didn't want the food to go to waste. I don't know who made the mistake but it's all good. I just wanted to point that out.

I spent over $50 on food, and the quality was extremely disappointing. The General Tso's chicken was basically nothing but breaded chicken pieces -- no vegetables and barely any sauce. The Orange Chicken was also dry and lacked sauce, making both dishes bland and unappetizing. To make matters worse, each entrée is supposed to come with rice, yet only a very small portion was provided. At this point, it feels like this restaurant is cutting corners and poorly managed. I'm generally not someone who leaves negative reviews, but the lack of care, consistency, and food quality is impossible to ignore. This was my last time giving this establishment my hard-earned money. I'd rather spend it somewhere that values its customers and takes pride in the food they serve.

It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. I also want to try their happy hour that's available everyday from 4-7PM. All the food items are only $7 and variety looks amazing.

The front entrance doesn't really match the size of the restaurant, though. It looks surprisingly small compared to how big the place is inside. The restaurant is decorated with lots of red, lanterns, and even a giant fortune cookie. The food is a mix of Chinese and Korean dishes, but it's definitely more Americanized Asian food. We ordered from their Lunch Combo Special. My friend got the Chili Garlic Fried Chicken and the Seafood Jjampong without shrimp because she's allergic to it. I got the Chili Garlic Shrimp with fried rice. When our server found out it was my friend's birthday, she told us we could choose a complimentary dessert from the menu, which was so nice! My friend picked the Glazed Sweet Potato with Lemon Sorbet. The lunch combos were huge. My friend was already so full after eating the jjampong that she had to take the chicken home. I really liked my shrimp and fried rice. They were so tasty that I finished everything! We also really enjoyed the Glazed Sweet Potato with Lemon Sorbet. The refreshing lemon sorbet paired perfectly with the sweet, warm glazed sweet potato. I try, I review, and I might come back again to try something else.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.
