My kids love come here. I would enjoy coming here more if my kids didn't get sick pretty much always after we visit. I have no idea how they clean this place. The coffee is ok, sometime it has a weird after taste. My girls usually always get a pretzel, which is usually hard. They do love the slushies. I enjoy this place - but most importantly - it is for the kids. Sure - the regular coffee is hideous. But, I can consume just about any coffee when absolutely necessary and they do have the foo foo stuff to mask the bad blends. Again - this place is for the kids. The play area for the walkie talkie kids is enormous and really provides a nice place for them to play. The toddler area is a little less amusing - but you're talking about an age that just needs the basics. The nice thing is Jungle Java allows a venue where the children can play and you can kick back and chill as a parent, maybe do some work on your laptop, etc. They have some nice couch's and a lounge areas - as well as basic tables and chairs. There is a place for a party area with long tables. Occasionally they will hand out a free pass for the child admission which is nice. Even at that - it is not overly expensive for a place for the kids to play. You have to figure they need to make their money somehow and at $7 admission - it could be worse. If you get a coffee you might end up paying $10 (if you go cheap) - so you can make it work for your budget. Again - it is for the kids. Keep it in perspective. read more

This is for canton location. There are much newer and bigger locations in Clinton township. Very dirty at all locations. Canton is one of the smaller locations. We wanted to check this place out as we are local to the Canton area. We took our 1 year old daughter and she did have fun playing in the toddler area and my husband and I both braved the older kids area with her. It was very hot inside the temperature read 78 degrees. The food was overpriced but the admission is pretty cheap. I did however notice how dirty and poorly the play areas looked. Lots of dust, dirt, ripped and taped equipment, clipped paint and filthy bathrooms. We took our daughter home and gave her a second bath for the day. read more

Went to Jungle Java for the first time! Brought my 14mo old daughter there! She played in the Toddler Safari and LOVED it! The employees there are kind and attentive. My kids love Jungle Java. If the coffee and food were better I'd love it too. For keeping the kids entertained for hours on end and giving them a chance to run and play when the weather is bad this is a great place. My son loves jungle java, and it's a great place to take him during the dreary winter here in MI. The play area at this JJ is a bit smaller than the one in Farmington Hills (Middlebelt and 12 Mile) but is still very large compared to some other places. The staff is usually very friendly, and they offer a large variety of smoothies, and other warm and cool drinks. They are a little pricey, but worth it for a chance to get a crazy 4 year old out of the house and somewhere he can run until he drops! They have couches, arm chairs and tables and chairs to sit in while your child plays, the one downside is the comfy chairs are by the younger children's area, and it can be hard to watch the bigger playscape from them. They also do serve (last we were there) peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so if your child has a peanut allergy, you may want to head somewhere else. Overall, we love JJ and will return again and again! There are always a few parents that don't watch their children, or apparently don't care that they run right over the smaller children, but the earlier you go the less there are! read more

This place is very sad. When they first open it was a lot cleaner. The bathrooms are so nasty I hardly even want to wear my shoes in there that's how bad it is. A lot of the kids are In their socks then they are in the tubes tracking all that whatever is on the floor in their. It's not very clean and the smell is horrible for as much as you pay I do not rate it any higher then the McDonald's play places. The food is nothing special for the price. This place is disgusting. The staff could care less about working there. They have a designated area for "Toddlers" and no one enforces it. So if you have a little child playing in there, be prepared for bigger kids to come romping through and knocking them over. The cleanliness of the place is horrible. Is this place ever cleaned? There are thick layers of dust in the play structure, the carpet has stains, and there is a notable "athlete's foot" smell to the place. My 2 year old son has been there 4 times and each time after he's gotten sick. He is around other kids a lot and does not get sick except after going to Jungle Java. I would pray they used a bleach solution after closing to clean the plastic parts of the play structure! Also, it's over-priced--$7 just to have my kid get sick, me thinks not! I save my money and take my kid to the play structure at McDonald's or go to the mall play area. We wear snow pants and thick coats in the winter and go to the park even if it's cold out! read more

This used to be a great place! But Now it is disgusting! Smelled like Pee when walked in. But I was giving it the benefit of the doubt. I have 4 boys so I thought I can handle it! I said something to the employee and they said yes we know. The toddler area was good but then I went to big structure what I saw was Unbelievable! It was falling apart and smelled horrible. There were rips and reared throughout the entire structure, there were huge dust balls and trash throughout (there is no way it was from one day) so u know it has not been cleaned, dry wall peeling off the walls, the plywood the kids walk on we're coming up, the netting was frayed and roped, they used Duct tape to mix some of the problems which the duct tape was ripped too! The bathrooms were Horrible! Yellow rings around the toilet(obviously has not been cleaned in a while) I tried talking to someone and they did not seemed interested and I was told they knew about the structure and the bathrooms. And was also told the owner is aware. I asked to get a call from her and no one ever called! I have sent 2 emails no responses. I tried a private message on Facebook and no respond! This place has fallen apart! It is dirty and NOT Safe for the kids! Again I have 4 boys and it takes a lot to gross me out and leave a place that I already paid for but Jungle Java of Canton succeeded! I wish I could post pics! You be appalled! I have been bringing my daughter her for along time and it's been some time since we been here And I never really had a complaint with this place.. cause it seem that they cared about the kids and cleanliness. And to have nice place for the parents to have time to themself why the kids can be kids . it seem that it was well taken care of then. And I brought a friend that's never been here cause I enjoyed myself. And had good things to say about it. but when we walked in it had a strong odor of pee!!! We paid of course cause the girls need some time out the house. and I didn't want to upset my daughter because of something I could give the benefit of the doubt on. So we got the girls in to play and didn't want to let our money to go waste Cause I brought it to the young lady attention at there was a smell. Great fun and exercise, especially in colder months. I have three issues - pricey -$7 a child. 2. Filthy. Tables are sticky, play structure has piles of dirt & debris in corners and on netted areas. How difficult is it to run a vacuum? 3. Toddler area- no monitoring, no way to keep older kids out. Staff doesn't care at all. Busy making drinks and cashiering. The play structure probably NEVER gets cleaned, went for the first time with my son yesterday and now has a 103.5 fever.. i get it's a risk in any public place but they need many employees to go through and wipe it down every night to at least help prevent things. Parents reading this keep your kids at home if they are sick! This place has no security in place like most places they stamp hands and check you and your child when you leave. I am usually here with our school, so I always find it full and busy. This place is nice for kids under 7, seating isn't bad either. The cashiers are sneaky, if you don't mention the school, they will charge you, and if they have charged you, and you mention the school afterwards, no money back. Great idea but not well executed for younger children. Just made our first trip and was fairly disappointed with the toddler area. The entire area is comprised of 5 total cushioned climbing toys and padded carpet which is ok. The bigger issue is that it's supposed to be reserved for children under 3 which it definitely was not. There is no staff on hand to monitor the area and most parents were totally checked out busily checking laptops and smart phones. The end result was multiple 5+ year olds whipping through the small area nearly knocking down the little ones. The bathrooms are small with only one diaper changing station so I had to wait in line to change a diaper. The coffee was fine but there is not nearly enough seating for the capacity they collect. The "kids" food selection was mostly junk. If you have an older child- 4 or older - it's a fun place to spend the afternoon. read more

My niece was shoved by a boy here today. I found the boy and told him that it wasn't ok to push people; two minutes later, my daughter came back with a hand print across her face from where the same boy smacked her with an open hand. When I spoke to the owner, she said would give the parents a warning and to let her know if anything else happens. I was appalled and told her that the child should be removed to which she replied that that wasn't their policy. We got our money back and left. Our children should feel safe in their environment. Fun place for boys 3 and 9. Clean and in good repair. Good climbing options and tree houses to hang out in.

PROS: Kids can play for an unlimited amount of time for a reasonable amount of money, free wi-fi for adults CONS: Tables often go without being cleaned, bathrooms are ill equipped for families (why open a joint made for kids and not have at least one child height toilet, sink and soap that is reachable for children, and only one diaper changing pad that is located inside one of only two bathroom stalls??), the play area is dirty also, but mostly at the outskirts of the structure where kids can't reach -- still there is a layer of dust - yuck. Probably the biggest issue is what others have commented on -- parents see this as a place to dump their kids and discontinue their jobs as parents. They stuff themselves in the corner with their computer or a book and don't pay attention to the fact that their older children are playing in the toddler area or are pushing over children younger/smaller than they. The establishment either doesn't empower their employees to hold children and parents accountable for their behavior or perhaps they are afraid if they tell kids to behave that the parents will be offended and not come back. Personally I don't have an issue with telling my older child that she can't play in the toddler area with her brother, nor do I have a problem shooing other kids out who shouldn't be there or even addressing the parents if I need to do so. Funny story -- my husband just took the kids there the other day and had an issue with a couple of older boys continuing to chase down our daughter and calling her potty names. He told them to leave her alone once. The next time he told them he would go talk to their parents. Other parents nearby thanked him for speaking up because their children were also being exposed to the foul mouths. The third time he asked who their parents were and they ran off (he figured it was over but unfortunately not). The fourth time he found the two moms who he thought were there with the boys. He explained to them that he had already nicely requested that the boys stop chasing and calling her names and that if they weren't going to deal with the situation then he would. They asked him, "what do you mean by that?" He said, "Let me explain. If my daughter hears the potty mouth again, she's going to put her fist in it." Wake up parents - keep your kids in line. Just because you are sick of dealing with them doesn't mean they get to go haywire and behave inappropriately towards other people. Don't want to parent? Don't breed! Anyway, point being is that if you are willing to stand up for your kid, this place is tolerable. It gives the kids an outlet for their energy on bad weather days. It would be better if staff would enforce some sort of general behavior rules. Unfortunately, we can't actually expect parents to do it themselves these days. read more

Will not return, not sure who the Manager or Management Company is but I'm surprised the city of Canton allows this place to stay in business and just do to health code violations. Every inch of the place is absolutely filthy. Nothing has been whipped down that isn't a table top in probably years. The bathrooms are basically falling apart and probably harvesting tons of infections and illnesses. Garbage cans are covered in every liquid possible, base boards are disgusting, coffee we paid $10 for tasted like it had sat for days and whip cream taster sour. Horrible experience all the way around. It makes me think if I can see all that then what is the actually play areas condition? Scary thought! Also they have a strict socks policy yet, I have witnessed more then four children running around with no socks and not one worker has stopped them to have them put their socks back on. read more

The place is great for kids seems clean. Really cramped for parties though. Had a party for my son saturday and they crammed three tables into a small area. There was no room to walk , hand out cake or open gifts. Seems like all the parties just kept getting in each others way. It was not roped off either so random kids and adults just kept walking into the party area. The food was very over priced. 22 bucks for a veggie tray and it was not very good. I am from Chicago and was visiting my in laws in Michigan during the recent heat wave. We have lots of "sip and play" cafes in Chicago and I was happy to find someplace similar in Michigan to keep my 2.5 yr old busy during the heat. The pros: lots of climbing space, kids seemed to have fun, it's cheap (maybe just in comparison to what I am used to paying). The cons: coffee is gross, the place felt a little dirty (I could see dust bunnies), staff wasn't the friendliest. I would go again, it's just not the best place out there. read more

Had my four-year-old birthday party here. Manager who booked the party did not explain how the drink tokens worked. The way it was Explain to me and my wife was the drink tokens work for free drinks for the adults. Come to find out the tokens are for your guests so they can keep track of what party you were from so they can add a tab to your bill. Another thing they never told us that refills were cheaper. So our guest were throwing their cups away and going up and getting another drink. Got nailed with a $38 charge for pop at the end!!! The manager that book the party would not work with us on the bill at all. Called up there 3 days later to talk to a different manager. Had her explain to me how the tokens work because I still wasn't sure. She explained it to me very clearly.Wasn't how the other manager explained it to me at all. Told her I wanted the money refunded. That I was going to put a bad review on yelp. She said that she felt like she shouldn't have to do anything for me because I threatened her with social media!!! After going round and round with her on the phone. She told me she did not have the Authority to refund the money. And would have to talk to Eric the owner and would call me back tomorrow. My wife happen to be around the corner from jungle Java and walked in within 10 minutes of me being on the phone with the manager. After going over the bill with my wife she refunded the $38. After talking to my wife come to find out the person I was talking to was actually Eric's wife and partial owners in jungle Java. Why am writing this review is I don't like being lied to. And she told me I was threatening her with social media!!! I was thinking to myself why would employees of jungle Java get so upset over a yelp review. Now I know why!!! Took my kids here and when at register, manager looked at us and ignored us. Finally young kid checked us in. Very expensive and did not give military discount. Manager seemed like a jerk who does not care about his customers. Play structure so filthy and dark. Hard to see kids when they are playing. Our 3 year old and 10 month old love Jungle Java. This is our first visit to the Canton store, and I definitely prefer this facility to the Farmington location. The climbing facility offers more to the kids -- more to climb and crawl through -- although it's harder on my knees. The toddler/infant area also has more for the younger child to crawl through. It's reasonably clean for the winter weather and number of preschoolers. Definitely an upgrade from the mall playground. Food definitely on the pricier side for what you get -- $1.22 for a Gogurt for example -- but overall a bargain for us for several hours of entertainment and exercise. Only suggestion for improvement would be signs warning parents not to slide down the slides with their children -- this is a safety hazard as it is one of the most common ways toddlers break their legs! read more

Seemed like a decent place for my 3yr old daughters b-day party....WRONG. Absolutely NO supervision, complete chaos. The employees could care less about anything going on. Within 5 minutes of being there I had to pull two 9yr old boys off of one 6yr old, who they had pinned down and punching him!!! Notified a worker and pointed out the boys....they did nothing. About 20 minutes later an older boy, about 5yrs old, was going around and smacking younger girls...mine included. Notified the "manager"....it took them 20 mins to locate this kids parents. At which point they did nothing. I promptly rounded up my 20 person party and left. Needless to say we will NEVER go back and I will tell everyone I know not to go there unless you bring a bodyguard for your little ones. read more

Attended a birthday party here today with my 9 year old. He had a great time. We thought that overall it was a good place for kids to burn of some energy. But ideally parents would better supervise and staff would be in and around the play structure supervising as well. Essentially kids disappear into the massive play structure and then you hope they come back out in one piece. It was packed today and there was always at least one kid crying somewhere. So be warned that injuries would be very possible. It's also potentially quite germy... Kids with runny noses and coughs everywhere and we saw one child cough until he threw up on the table. So make your kids wash hands and sanitize often! Wipe the table down, too. Food was just ok but there are quite a few choices. Regarding party set up, they have seats for the kids but not the adults. We had to wait for some tables in the general seating area to open up and push them together. Worked out ok but it would have been nice to be near the kids. We also had a random guy walk up and help himself to our food. I know, right?! So go and have fun but keep an eye on your kids and your stuff, and take hand sanitizer! read more
