Juniors is a great little local establishment! Really good...basic diner food. HUGE cinnamon rolls...nice sized portions...friendly staff. Don't let the "strip mall" location put you off...once inside, you'll be transported back to the 50's!!! read more

The food was surprisingly good. Really tasty. What a shame we didn't get to eat with the rest of our party of eight but sat there and waited while everyone else ate. Most people had steak cooked to order. We asked for meatloaf, which should have been quicker. Nothing. When our orders finally arrived, they were the roast beef which we had never even mentioned. Ample seating for our group of nine for lunch. Had four children aged 8 and under. Excellent children's menu. Service was spot on. Regular menu has a lot of variety. We found this hidden gem and love going here for their all day breakfast. I was so happy to have found a place that has great corned beef hash and haven't even tried anything else! The portions are HUGE for the money and the atmosphere is totally American diner at its best! The last couple of times we have gone here I have ordered some of their beef stew to go to reheat for dinner and it was fantastic! Tender beef and large chunks of fresh veggies of all kinds. We worked nearby and have been visiting Junior's once or twice a month for over 7 years - never a disappointing meal. Their club sandwich is the best in town. Cute little diner -- I admit the fact that it's in Eagan and it's hard to come by anything that isn't Applebee's/Chili's/KFC/Subway/etc. probably makes it seem better than it actually is. But there is no denying the fact that the turkey stack is a tasty treat. read more

I had a very good breakfast at Junior's this weekend... and went back this morning. Both meals were excellent! Very good service, excellent coffee, and the cook nailed both the omlette and the eggs I've had so far. My favorite item both times was probably the hashbrowns. Saturday morning, about 10am. The clatter of the cooks at the grill, the low buzz of conversation at every table, and the continuous flow of food out into the room. My breakfast is great (no 9), the service is very good , and I just saw the largest cinnamon roll I've ever seen. Hard to beat this place for breakfast. read more

This is the best breakfast diner! Family-owned and cozy, they have an extensive menu with American and Tex-Mex offerings. I usually eat breakfast there and they are able to tailor food to my dietary needs easily and deliciously. Hash browns are crispy and veggies are diced fine and grilled to perfection. Pancakes are soft and fluffy and as big as a plate. The only downside to the whole dining experience is the loud air conditioner that blasts when people walk in the door. So if you want an intimate leisurely breakfast spot this may not be the place but if you're looking for a Chicago style diner - this is perfect! read more

The restaurant is located in a small strip mall so it's kinda small but really cute. The service was okay but the waitress seemed like we were bothering her. When we went to pay she took our check card then went outside with it in hand and talked for 5 min with other customers, definitely a big no no. The food was just gross. We went for breakfast and tried pancakes, hash browns, eggs, and toast. The only think that was okay was the toast and the water. The salt and pepper are low quality and just make your food worse. I visit the Eagan location frequently as I live only a mile or so away. Every thing I have tried has been just top notch. From Breakfast, to Lunch, to Dinner. I've never walked away disappointed! You can sit at the counter and watch the cooks make the food practically right in front of you. All the ingredients I see them use are very fresh as well. 5 stars no doubt. Also, they opened a Juniors Bar And Grill in Burnsville right next to Shooters on the corner of Cliff Road and Highway 13, I had to check it out so I went there and the food is consistent across the board. If you haven't tried either Junior's location's I suggest you give them a shot!!! read more

We arrived in to an empty restaurant this Monday at 10:45 a.m. We walked in to the front of the lobby and noticed two servers chatting and completely focused on their handheld devices. Neither looked up to greet us or seat us. We waited a few minutes as they continued to play on their phones and carry on. At this point my husband and I decided that we were obviously unimportant and left. For having such high reviews you would think that would merit a greeting - at the very least. As an out of town guest - I would not recommend even wasting your time to go to this establishment as their apathy is unmatched. read more

We stumbled upon Junior's cafe earlier this year quite by chance. We have never enjoyed eating breakfast at any of the chain restaurants so we were excited to try Juniors. We were very impressed with the food - everything was great and cooked to perfection. We've been back several times, and have never been disappointed. We just ate at Junior's and the food was OK, it was breakfast and it tough to ruin it. The service was good. The reason for the low score was because of the unsuspecting and unknowing "upcharges". It was our first time and my babe happen to ask if there was an "upcharge" for egg white, she was told No. We proceed to order two meals (eggs, hash browns, (1) w/ Pancakes and (1) w/ toast). Part of our request was to have the hash browns a little crispy with onions. For the toast, we asked if they had English muffin, the reply was Yes. Ordering was done and we were all set waiting to eat. Had our meal and enjoyed it. Asked for the Check, there on the bill is a .99cent charge on the hash brown w/ onions for each meal and a .50 for English muffin. I was uncomfortable with addressing it, but instead did. As I told the mgr, he can charge anything he wants "just tell people" before they see it on the Check, to which he replied "is this your first time here?" I said Yes. He replied with a smile "Thank you for eating here and we have been opened for 13 years". It struck me peculiar. He didn't say "Sorry, we should have said something". Instead I guess he was letting me know that NOT INFORMING people has worked for him for 13 years and why change a good way of making money, Charging without telling people ahead of time. I mean if you can make $2.00 to $5.00 on every Order everyday at 75 to 150 orders a day. WOW, talk about highway robbery. Don't keep it a secret, Junior.
