A higher-end steakhouse in an area that has very few. There is something for everyone as half of the restaurant is a bar area and the other half is a semi-elegant dining experience. The food was good, better than Texas Roadhouse but not in the same class as Morton's or Ruth Chris. I ordered the 14oz. Prime Ribeye and it was cooked to specification - medium rare. It was very tender and I was pleased that despite noticeable marbling I did not have to cut away a lot of fat. For sides, we ordered the truffle mac & cheese, au gratin potatoes, and the truffle fries. The fries stole the show, crispy and well-seasoned with the garlic aioli. I would say that our service was on point around the time we received our food, but outside of that, it was subpar. Our server took our orders quickly, but we had to request bread for our table at least three or four times. I will say that our drinks were kept moderately filled throughout the night. The prices reflect a higher-end steakhouse. I did not think that anything was outrageously priced. For my wedding anniversary with my husband, I made a reservation here for dinner. We arrived slightly early, which did not seem to thrill the seating hostess, but she did immediately seat us. Our waitress spoke very courteously and committed no mistakes in her service. We appreciated that she wished us happy anniversary. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Apples and pear cocktail - 4.5 stars - This cocktail contained apple vodka, apple cider, and pear, and I really liked the flavors. Bread and butter - 4.5 stars - This free bread was nicely chewy, and came with salty butter. French onion soup - 4.5 stars - The bone-marrow broth had a wonderful flavor. The grilled-cheese croutons and crispy onions were crispy initially but then got soggy. Perhaps I should have eaten it faster, but I wanted to take photos of my foods. Classic wedge salad - 4 stars - My husband ate this salad for his first course, and he seemed to enjoy it. He is hard to impress, but he ate all of this salad. Loaded tater tot - 4.5 stars - This side was a single tater tot that was huge! My husband commented on how he really liked the crispy exterior and the cheesy interior. It contained white cheddar, scallions, bacon, and sour cream. Crab cake entree - 4.5 stars - Two crab cakes were a large size and contained much crab meat. They were served with caper remoulade and grilled asparagus and tasted very good. 8-ounce center-cut filet mignon - 4 stars - My husband likes mid-rare steak, but this steak was cooked more rare and was a bit too red. The waitress did offer to have the steak cooked more, but my husband does not like to complain or send food back. My husband chose an enhancement of bearnaise sauce. Creme brûlée - 4.5 stars - This dessert was free because of our anniversary. The sugar on top was perfectly crispy, and I liked the sweet custard. and raspberries. Unbelievably good!! Took our son there for his graduation, it was incredible, highly recommend! Surprised at some of the more negative comments, just as good if not better than Ruth Chris or any of the others. This was a great place for a happy hour with coworkers or friends. They had great drink specials and the peach flat bread (I forgot to photo) was delicious. Went to Nate's for a business dinner. We enjoyed the bar and the drinks were spot on. We had dinner in a semi private room for 15 of us. So they did a great job in getting us seated and served drinks for a large group. We ordered several appetizers all were demolished upon landing on the table. Of note the shrimp cocktail, and the wagyu capriccio. Everyone ordered steaks, so this is where the difference really manifested itself. People who ordered the filet got thick and tender steaks; ones to be ordered again. I had the prime aged ribeye and while it was tender and cooked correctly, I was disappointed with the thin steak and would have gone with the filet instead. Sorry no pictures. It's in the middle of an industrial park where nothing is going on past 5:30pm. I will say, it's a great happy hour spot to hang with coworkers after work. They have some pretty good bar specials. My husband and I went last night and sat in the dining room to celebrate our anniversary. The lights were SO bright I was starting to get a headache. The tables were crowded and it was loud from the packed private room that is adjacent to the party room. Service was lackluster at best. Our server was Mike. He got the job done by brining us our food and drinks, but that's all I can really say about the service. The food was slightly higher than average, but nothing memorable. Our bill was $215 and we both left disappointed with our dining experience at Nate's. Honestly, we could have gotten the same meal at Outback and paid $100 less. read more

This restaurant reopened not too long ago under different ownership. It used to be Cannon's. The inside looks similar to the previous establishment and has an upscale vibe Decided to stop by for happy hour which is from 3-6pm Tuesday thru Friday and 4-6pm on Saturday. Really a good deal. Bottled beer is $4, wine is $5 and several specialty cocktails for $6 (menu attached). There are food specials on happy hour as well ranging from $3-7 (menu attached). We sat at the bar and the service was attentive and top notched. Ashley was our server and she was on it. We ordered a happy hour Cabernet and Old Fashioned. My husband thought the Old Fashioned was tasty and good value. The wine was a good pour and also good value. For food, we ordered the short rib street tacos, Aleppo shrimp street tacos and the Prime Burger slider (pictures attached). I'd give the food 3/5. Food was nothing special. Stopped in for lunch and had the Nate's prime burger with fries that has a house blend of meat and the usually lettuce tomato and red onion and added white cheddar cheese. Maybe we had high expectations with Anthony's Chop House in Carmel, Indiana. Nate's Chop House was a bit of a disappointment in comparison, we ordered their Chicken entree, Caesar salad, Cobb salad and the broccolini. The salads were ok but the $40 Chicken was the size of maybe a small breast. The broccolini was so tough that we sent it back. The waitress suggested we try the Street Corn and it was great. I would hope that maybe Nate's would have their wait staff try the options & give their honest options on portion size and taste. If all else fails, make a trip to Anthony's Chop House in Indiana!! Nate's is a neighborhood steakhouse favorite of mine for past year or so. However, truth be told, I usually post up at the bar with my significant other and enjoy a drink or two and then we split a meal. I would say that the bar service is excellent, food is always top notch and the bar ambiance is an upscale neighborhood steakhouse feel. It's not Mastros Ocean club, but doesn't try to be. Don't get me wrong, the price point at Nate's is on par with the Eddie Vs or Ocean club and honestly the Bar tenders are some of the best in the business, so I don't mind paying. However, last night I brought two close friends hoping to get a seat at the bar. Being that it was Friday night at 7:00pm, the bar was packed as well as most of the restaurant so we knew we would take what we could get. We requested to be sat in a booth at the bar area and were sat right away. This would be my first experience in the dining area rather than the bar. FAR different experience, in a negative way. Long story short, the service was horrendous. We asked what kind of oysters we were being served, the server didn't know but said the medium size kind. We ordered three appetizers and one came out wrong - Wagu Carpaccio was served rather than wagu meatballs. Our waters were constantly empty, having to ask for refills multiple times. We ordered a raspberry martini and it took 15 minutes and a reminder to get the drink, servers response was "they were washing the berries." Lastly, and certainly the worst, we were asked multiple times if we wanted our check before we were done with our meal and before dessert was offered. Needless to say, it as a disappointing experience especially when our bill was $300 plus a $60 (20%) tip. It's hard to post a negative review about a place that I have enjoyed many times before, but it was clear that the service training needs to step up big time. When a price point is as high as it is at Nate's, I expect waaaaaay more attention to detail and so will others. The food was very good and is never in question. Keep that in mind but experiencing good tasting food is ruined when the service is terrible. Step it up Nate's!!!!! read more

The Cesar was warm and fishy; yes, I know anchovies are in a Cesar but not like this - this was disgusting and felt it was on the line way too long. The ribeye was also disappointing - flavorless, tough, and full of gristle. Again, I understand fat content is higher in a ribeye vs. a strip but the taste of this has me wondering if it'd would resemble the table more than meat. I did get the salad comped but steak was taken without question and with how much remained, no question it was left. Truffle fries were good - well seasoned but you could taste the truffle oil.
