I've been to Juniper Grill on multiple occasions, always being satisfied with both the food and the service. Tonight I thought it would be no different but boy was I wrong. I have never experienced such rude management in my entire life. Our server was exceptional, great young lady. Very nice and was very understanding of our requests. However, in the middle of our meal someone (who I assume is a manager) began screaming at her in the kitchen. It was so loud the whole restaurant could hear and we could see it! I have never experienced anything like this in any restaurant I've ever been in. I don't know the situation but if they're willing to yell like this in front of the guests imagine what they do behind closed doors. I will not be returning to this restaurant purely for the fact that I do not support higher ups treating their workers this way, it is deplorable. read more

There is everything to love here. Food, atmosphere, staff, parking... they have it all and its all well executed. We snagged one of their two outside tables and were somewhat apprehensive about level of service, as it was a busy Friday night. No issue, our server was pleasant and unrushed. We were visited by the manager and treated to a higher level of service than ever expected. We all started with a cup of soup and then shared the street tacos. Then came Brisket Quesadilla, huge and declared as tasty as it was lovely. Pulled Pork Sandwich was a mile high. Salmon is always a favorite, add a little jalapeno honey sauce and a side of black beans and dirty rice and I'm a happy girl. Hubs had the Meat Trio and fries... A+ This wasn't our first trip to the JG, won't be our last. Here's an item worth mentioning from our last visit: Smoked Bourbon. Although this visit we remained alcohol free, last visit the Smoked Bourbon and Spiced Sangria were terrific start points! read more

The staff was kind. The food was not good. I ordered the baby back ribs. They were very dry and over cooked. I've had better ribs at smoky bones and paid much less. The coleslaw was strangely vinegary with a cream mix. It was mostly vinegar. The quesadilla was ok but if you are looking for a special bbq flavor in the brisket, you won't find it here. Juniper grill is one of my go to restaurants, great food with a classy atmosphere. I ordered the New York strip, medium with green beans and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly to my likings as was everything else I ordered. I would have gave the 5 stars but the presentation of everything was terrible. Everything I ordered was plain looking . We live just about a mile from this place and I feel like we don't frequent it as much as we should. Everytime we go we always leave satisfied. My husband and I both enjoy the Sante Fe Bowl which is basically an upscale burrito bowl. It's very good, but the portions could be slightly larger. I really enjoyed the rotisserie chicken tortilla soup as a starter but the special of the day was really spectacular. Was in town visiting family and had lunch here. Their food is exceptional and their service was wonderful! I had the California Burger. It was cooked perfectly. Meat was super juicy. Stopped here for a late lunch on the recommendation of another. Our Party of 2 was immediately seated, as there was practically no one else in the place. Warm dark colors with comfortable seating. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She offered some recommendations upon request and was spot on! We ordered an appetizer of the brisket flatbread which was INCREDIBLE! So thin and crispy and full of flavor. I will do order this again. For our entrees we ordered the crab and lobster enchiladas and shrimp tacos. Borge entrees were accompanied by a side of beans. One had black beans and rice and the other had black eye peas and corn. Both dishes were excellent and I would highly recommend. This is a bit pricey for lunch. Our bill with two Non Alcoholic beverages totaled about $50 + tip. Same prices for dinner, so overall not too bad. The most surprising dish was the cornbread for dessert!! It was AMAZING!! My mom, who tends to criticize and find fault with most restaurants, had NO complaints the entire time. She enjoyed everything she had!! If you knew my mother, you would be just as surprised as I am! The ambiance was nice, and the customer service was great. It truly earned its 5 star rating!!! Had one of the worst service at this place on July 3, 2024. My husband and I sat at the bar around 5-6 pm to have some cocktails and a bite to eat. The bartender barely greeted us and after sitting for a while without acknowledgment from anyone, we could tell he was not going be attentive so we decided that while we had his attention, we better order our drinks and appetizer at the same time. It took nearly half hour for the strawberry ceviche to come, which was absolutely TERRIBLE and overpriced. Believe me when I say it was bad because we lived in California and had tasted plenty of authentic and delicious ceviche. This was a deplorable wannabe version of a strawberry salad, at best, NOT a ceviche! The bartender never made eye contact nor checked back to see how we were enjoying the food, if we wanted another drink, or even TRY to be friendly and attempted to provide good customer service. We then told him that we were ready to place the entre order but he proceeded to do other tasks and never came back to take our order nor did he acknowledge or apologize for not being able to service us in a timely manner. This is my first time here. Emmy husband and I loved everything about it. The atmosphere and aesthetics of the restaurant, to the food we had, and the service. Our waitress Leah was great with her recommendations and explaining certain dishes. For apps, we got the street tacos which were amazing and the chips with salsa and quac, also very good. One of the best wins we've had out. We then shared the snow cooked beef brisket, which was tender and Smokey, we loved that as well. & if you're a fan of chocolate and pecan pies, you'll love that as a desert...it comes with vanilla ice cream. My first time here and I must say... I'm very impressed. The first thing I liked about it was that the the restaurant was very nice and clean and had a very good vibe. It really put me in the mood to drink a cold lemonade and just relax. We then sit down and the waitress helping us was very helpful about showing us the menu and she really made me feel like welcomed. I forgot her name but she was definitely appreciated. Finally we decided what we wanted to order and my friends loved the food they got but..... what I ordered wasn't for my tastebuds (fish tacos). It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I was expecting. The waitress saw that I only ate half of a taco and she asked me if I wanted anything else and I insisted that I was ok. She leaves and the next thing I see is the chef/owner come to my table and politely ask if I can please order something else and they would make it quick and that it was on the house. That's when I got the shrimp and crab enchiladas (witch was amazing). The customer service was AMAZING! Juniper grill staff really made an amazing impression. Thank you so much. Went here for lunch with 7 family members and we were immediately taken on a tour by the owner of the restaurant. We were impressed with how nice it looked. We ordered a bacon dip with flatbread for an appetizer. It was delicious. The others in the party ordered cocktails. The main dishes were very good. Reasonably priced with fairly large portions. I ordered the California burger which was great. Check out the pictures of other drinks and dishes. We will be back for sure. It's great to have another good restaurant in Murrysville. read more

We came here for my brother's graduation dinner last night, which we had made reservations for in advance. They never told us that the kitchen closed at nine. We were rushed and given poor customer service. We have been coming to Juniper Grill for 10 years and the food is always delicious. When paying this much money for your food, we expect to be treated with more courtesy, especially on a special occasion such as a graduation. Do not take reservations for large parties if you are unwilling to keep the kitchen open later read more

From the moment we enter the vibe as usual is trendy but very warm and staff is welcoming. Raphael is always there for us and we look forward to seeing him. Annie again was our amazing server for our Mother's Day event and 70th anniversary blessing for our parents at mass which did not go unnoticed. Raphael poured them a champagne toast of congratulations! The lollipop lamb chops were to die for! The sauce was a perfect blend. And who doesn't love mash potatoes? Dad loved his steak filet and he is our biggest critic. Salmon is always done to perfection. Mom had stuffed salmon with crab which was fabulous. There were 12 of us and everyone loved their selections. The salads are fresh and tasty. There was an amazing make-your-own Bloody Mary bar that was fun with a huge array of extras for your brunch beverage delight. We had vegans in our group and they were satisfied with their choices and the staff attention given to them. Something for everyone but I personally can vouch for the lollipop lamb chops and salmon as being choices you will want to go back for again and again! Proportions are sizable and just right. Only small criticism is no Italian bread for our Italian group, however, They do offer corn bread on the menu. Thank you to Annie and Raphael and our bartender too who we love! My aunt is gluten free and there were so many options on the menu for her, which is why she suggested this place. Staff is always welcoming and so knowledgable. I have never had a bad experience with the food, ever. You can't go wrong with the skirt steak, fish tacos or chicken avocado salad. Impressive wine selection for even the most picky vino palates. Chef is so creative with such delicious feature menu items. I splurged tonight on the Chambersburg Peaches, Grilled Peach Sundae for dessert. 100% worth every calorie ! Came back for brunch, 4/23/17, awesome decision. Got the Bloody Mary bar for my first Bloody Mary experience, the breakfast skillet and my husband got the brisket hash. Everything was so delicious and the staff were amazing as always. We met somefriends on a Friday night here. I wasn't sure if we were going to eat or not but I found a burger that I wanted to try so we ordered some drinks and some dinner. It was busy but we did have reservations or we would have had to wait for a little while. Our waitress was nice and they had a good drink menu. The food menu looked good. I could have went with a few different things but the California burger sounded the best. They came with sweet potato fries and I got the burger cooked medium. The food came out and I was pretty hungry. The fries were good no complaints. The burger was not that great unfortunately. It looked good but the burger just fell apart on my. The beef patty crumbled and the bun just didn't keep the burger together and it didn't soak up all of the juices so it was messy. It had a lot of good ingredients on the burger but the actually patty just wasn't that great in my opinion. I wouldn't order another burger again here. Overall I liked the restaurant and I would think that the other food items are still good but I just wasn't to thrilled about my burger. read more

How in the world does this place have 4 stars??? Nice ambience, great waitress, HORRIBLE food. I never write bad reviews, but this food was ridiculous. This is the second worst restaurant food I've ever eaten. I ordered the $14 chicken enchiladas and what they brought me was the equivalent of two dry chicken taquitos. They were so dry I could barely choke them down with water. The bare corn tortillas were sprinkled with a pinch of cheddar cheese and dotted with a green cilantro sauce.... that's it folks. My poor husband ordered the $17 Shrimp Louie salad which consisted of a handful of iceberg lettuce, four very undercooked large shrimp, one of which still had the poop string in it, two large pieces of asparagus and a hard boiled egg. This was smothered in an orange dressing that my husband described as the second most acidic thing he has tasted next to stomach bile. I thought he was joking and then I tasted it myself. It was thousand island burger sauce with way too much white vinegar added..... on a shrimp salad..... come on! Sorry, Juniper Grill, never again. read more

We had a great early dinner here to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. We had 14 people and the service was terrific as was the food. Everyone enjoyed the starters, their meals and dessert. I have to say I picked this place randomly, we are from out of town and we hit the jack pot!! My party of 4 was pleasantly surprised!! Service was great, Chris (guy) our waiter, was very helpful and attentive !! Food was even better!!! Some in my party had Amish chicken with Yukon mashed potatoes and veggies, also tried chicken sandwich and beef burger , side order of drunken black beans,appetizers , all of which were cooked just perfect and were very tasty. Very clean , staff very pleasant, great food for the value!!! If I am ever back in the area I would make sure to stop by. read more
