Located in the Crowne Plaza directly across from where we are staying and recommended by our hotel staff, we came in seeking a new place for dinner. We definitely weren't disappointed. I ordered the cup of chicken noodle soup and the short rib sliders with garden salad. Hubby ordered his Mushroom Swiss Burger and fries. Mine was outstanding and he described his as good. Our waitress was very attentive, checking on us several times, and the restaurant was not very crowded. I think not many people know how good the food is here! The restaurant decor was pleasant enough. There's an exterior door on one side of the building allowing direct access to the restaurant/hotel hallway. This place has been on my list for a while. Not because I heard it's amazing. More because, as Alaska's only Yelp employee...I consider it duty to visit as many unique places as I can. This place: yeah, it's a hotel bar alright. They have 4 beers on tap. Two are Alaskan Brewing (meh) and two are non-micro beers (meh). I went with a Sam Adams lager...solely because I haven't had one in...maybe 10 years? It was pretty decent. They had some cheap happy hour eats and, shockingly, a full-restaurant menu. Service was fantastic though! The staff were friendly and accomodating. Probably worth going to if you're in Anchorage for business but...not if you live here. read more

This place is located inside the Crown Plaza hotel. Service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. I ordered the slider appetizer which came with a dipping sauce that was out of this world. Pretty good option for a hotel restaurant. Stayed here for a weekend and enjoyed not having to travel anywhere for food or a drink. They offer a pretty good promo on Friday and Tuesday - Prime Rib night and Taco Tuesday, and a good Happy Hour menu (M-F). I opted the Friday night $30 prime rib with unlimited sides and it was enjoyable and definitely worth it. I was offered breakfast buffet vouchers and thought the buffet offered a good, fresh selection. (Not sure if it's worth the normal $20 but it's convenient and easy if you're staying at the Crowne Plaza). Overall, if you're a guest at the hotel , definitely worth stopping by. read more

I don't usually write reviews. So much can play a factor in everything and I tend to be pretty understanding about that. That being said, the service was good. The waitress was friendly and on top of things.. however that was by far, one of the worst meals I have ever had. I ordered the pan seared salmon. The salmon had no flavor, no seasoning whatsoever and the side dish was canned French style green beans that covered the entire plate. It was supposed to be roasted red potatoes with mushrooms and caramelized onions. There were 4 pieces of cubed red potatoes, boiled, and maybe 4 small mushrooms. The piece of salmon sat on top of all the green beans. I asked for tarter sauce to help. They didn't have that. My husband ordered the steak. It also sat on a plate of green beans. So. Nasty. We wanted to stay in house bc the weather is atrocious but do not do it. Go somewhere else. read more

Rude lead staff - surly woman named Kim who was petulant and entirely a rude individual. Then spoke with front desk to complain, and they said the restaurant is separate and they can't do anything about my complaint. When o rejoined my group and had to hail down a server for a cup of coffee and juice, I was barked at saying "that's all you want? Not the buffet?" And then she huffed and it still took over 5 minutes more to get just a simple cup of coffee. Very bad. read more

Update: 9/26/2018 I would give 0 stars to this place. But of course, I just really hate writing bad reviews. Overall the food was good, but the big problem was our waitress, she is just rude and lazy and not doing a good job. One time, our waitress grabs a checkbook from a guy who is sitting on the table, but then she turned away from us and walked back to the cash register, and I was just waiting like FIFTEEN minutes for her at our table to grab our checkbook. And sure enough she did. But still, she is not doing very good work at ALL, which really makes me disappointed. Oh well. I wish Juno will soon get better a few years or not. read more

We stayed at Crown Plaza in September 2018 and had several occasions to eat at Juno. Unlike the prior reviewer our service was fantastic with every waitress who served us. I was impressed with how well trained the staff was and how fresh the food was. We lived in Anchorage for over 30 years - 50 for my husband, and can say this restaurant compares better for consistency and food quality with any restaurant in town. I ordered the quinoa salad two different times and it was so fresh. No wilted lettuce at all and really good. The cheeseburger was the most awesome though. My husband gave me a bite of his and I couldn't wait until the next day when I could order my own. So delicious. I liked it more than Long Branch's burgers. Now for the wait staff. This is what I observed during lunch and how professional the waitresses are. There was a conference going on down the hall from Juno. Three women from the conference brought their own food in from another restaurant and took over a booth like it was a cafeteria. They were loud and made a mess, left no tip after tying up the table, then came back accusing a waitress of taking something they thought they left on the table. The waitresses that dealt with them, were courteous the whole time even when they didn't make any money on the table. I was so impressed. On another night, we ordered a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay and they served it perfectly. Fresh food, great staff, if we still lived there we would be regulars. Thank you, Juno. read more

I have been coming to Juno for the past 5 years or so as I travel to Anchorage quite a bit on business, and while the food is good (I have to admit that I still dream of fresh fish, local veggies, and fancy aged beef, but I know hotel restaurants may not always have that option, especially year-round, and the recent menu updates are definitely yummy), their staff are and have been consistently wonderful! It's worth a return visit just to say hi to the people who have gone above and beyond for their guests for more than five years running. read more

Having stayed in Crown Plaza for a couple of nights, we got a chance to eat here multiple times. Breakfast they have a buffet option (full buffet or just continental option) which was pretty much standard every time but you can order from the menu too. Their coffee was really strong and good. They had decent menu options for lunch or dinner. They also had vegetarian options which worked well for us. Tried their flatbreads, pasta, chicken fingers and sandwich between all our visits. Food was good and they made an effort to cook it as per any specifications we had. The veg flatbread was good, the sauce on it tangy and tasty and this was cooked well done which was one of my favorites. For the pasta we got the spice level of the sauce and they changed that - a very good meal. The servers were nice and efficient - refilled the drinks efficiently. The place was neat and clean. They have the entry to this place from the parking lot and from the hotel. Also, this was like open until 10:00 pm. This came in handy on Sunday when all restaurants in Anchorage pretty much shut down around 09:00 pm but we were able to grab something here that late. The "French Dip Sliders" are more of a onion sandwich than anything else. The service is sub par, the hours suck...

Breakfast service was good. The bartender was very attentive and friendly... I should give breakfast service 4 stars dinner service 1 star. Dinner was another story. The girl working the bar at night needs training and also needs a brain ..and common sense. She has no clue.. no customer service skills at all. she could care less about her job....... Did not listen to me when I was ordering what I wanted ...and did not write anything down ... was very unfriendly and standoffish instead of smiling and greeting me... Another server came and brought my dinner to me which was totally not what I wanted ...and when I said "this is not what I wanted and this is not what I ordered" she said well that's just how they make it... And she shrugged and walked away... Can you believe? To top all this off she never once came back over and asked me how I was doing ...if I wanted another drink ...,if I needed anything... I had to flag her down and ask her to please bring some salt and pepper .. She literally picked up the salt and pepper from under the bar, brought it over ...never looked at me ....never asked me if I needed anything else ....and walked away... this woman should not be dealing with the public... Another couple came in and sat at the bar and she never even acknowledged them... Too busy chatting with the people at the end of the bar... the couple waited and waited and waited and they eventually got up and left...
