My husband and I stayed here in the summer of 2011 for one week. It was a very good experience. The room was clean, as was the pool and lobby area. The staff was friendly and helpful. We came for a week during the summer while we were looking for a condo to buy. Each day we would return to the Inn and use the pool and relax in the room. We had a downstairs room, on the end, so it had extra windows and light. The TV was large and the picture was clear. The pool is a good size, small in comparison to other hotels but this is a smaller hotel/inn. It's not suitable for swimming laps. There are enough chairs around the pool and it overlooks the intracoastal. There is also a dock. We noticed that some guests were picked up at the dock for fishing and returned at the end of the day, with fish. This may have been arranged privately, so ask at the desk if you're interested. I would have given the Inn 5 stars, except for the fact that wi-fi was not available in our room. We were too far from the lobby, so we had to go to the lobby each day to use our laptops. It wasn't a major problem at all. The included continental breakfast gave us a reason to go to the lobby anyway, a short distance from our room. There was a limited selection of breakfast items, but the coffee was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The lobby is bright and airy. I would definitely recommend the Jupiter Waterfront Inn to friends. Get a room near the lobby if the internet is important to you. Hope that helps! read more

This is the best value hotel in Jupiter and the size of the room is incredible. All of the rooms have balconies overlooking the pool and Jupiter inlet. The one bedrooms have jacuzzi tubs and tile floors. I am impressed that the inn has large flatscreen tvs as well. The main downside is the bed which sags in the middle but is ok after a day of diving (the hotel is 5 minutes or less to Jupiter Dive Center). Also, there are only 2 lamps which isn't enough to light the large room. I would still stay here for the value and the view but wish they had better beds. They also have muffins and cereal included for breakfast. read more

We come down to Jupiter every August to visit family. When our arrangements changed and we needed to stay on our own, we stopped in on a whim (because of the cool sign and colorful, low-lying architecture) and found the Inn totally charming, with a kind of old-fashioned vibe. It is small and simple, which is just what we want, and convenient to everyone and everything you might want to do here. We learned that lots of locals come here for a staycation just before school starts, but I don't remember ever being much bothered by kids or noise. Management puts a lid on that around 10 pm (I think). We always stay on the second floor, and always request not to overlook the pool; we don't want the in-room whirlpool, either. While I'd prefer not to have stairs, that view of the Intracoastal, framed by palm trees, is so nice. As long as we can still manage the stairs, it's worth the climb. (It would help if I packed lighter.) Cinderblock construction means sound does not really travel between rooms, at least in our experience. The rooms are spacious, with entry from a walkway and a slider door at the far end opening to a patio or balcony. Other reviewers have listed room furnishings and amenities. I don't see a pic of sunrise over the Intracoastal in these reviews, so I am going to add one from a few mornings ago. Maintenance here is a top priority. This year, the wi-fi was as good as we could want and our air-conditioning unit (and many more) had been replaced. It may not be possible to turn the room into a refrigerator, but that's Florida in August and there are two ceiling fans. We were comfortable enough. The dock now has a wider platform at its far end and many boards had been replaced. We just missed seeing a manatee this year, oh well. I believe all rooms now have the wood-look tile instead of carpet, and our room also had a new dresser and coffee table. The refrigerator lives below a countertop that has a small sink, so there's your snack and beverage station. The two queen beds were very comfortable and I can always find a pillow that works for me. The lounges around the pool now have long, aqua cushions that are taken in at night to keep them clean and dry. They are out again by 7 am. I was glad to see the hot tub gone, because with its slippery steps, it was always a disaster waiting to happen. This leaves more lawn space for chairs under the palms. The landscaping is pristine and the cleaning staff does a great job. We always have more towels than we need. We are tall, so it would be nice if the shower heads could be raised in the future; the toilet is feeling a little low as well. Also, if you want a cold shower, the mixer control does not allow that. But I am quibbling here. I am always able to get a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board (although this time I never used the last two, lol). The staff are all super friendly and helpful, but it's Sara who is the Inn's heart and soul. She actually remembers us from year to year and welcomes us like family. If I am lucky, she will be there to take my reservation when I call and I know all will be well. The personal touch she provides means a lot. Anything you want to know about where to go, what to do, she has the answer (and I am sure that everyone else at the desk is super knowledgeable). So many reviews criticize the lack of a full breakfast, but when you want a quick bite before jumping into the day's activities, I think the continental breakfast here is just the thing: juice, coffee, a variety of cereals, and those mini-muffins (corn, blueberry, or chocolate). We always amend that with fresh mixed fruit from the nearby Publix, along with snacks and beverages. Why inflate your room cost just because there is an on-site restaurant, when there are so very many places to dine just a stone's throw south on A1A? If you want to linger over breakfast, you have the Lighthouse Diner (a super classic, you must eat there at least once) and Bagel Bistro (not just bagels - crepes, pancakes, wraps, and spectacular coffee), and for a more upscale breakfast or lunch, check out the Gallery Grill, just up a side street off A1A. There are, of course, many more choices. Water-sport equipment can be rented just a bit north of the Inn. So if you just want a quiet and comfortable place to stay, I would say you cannot go wrong staying here. (And now I'd better book early next year because they will be jammed.) And don't skip the Palm Beach Ice Cream shop! read more

Love this inn. Small and quaint. Quick check in process. We had a double bed water view room. Large rooms. House keeping was great except the one more they knocked on the door at 8:30am. The pool and fishing pier were perfection. All the guest mingled and chatted together. My son fished for hours off the dock. It provided the perfect setting for a beautiful sunrise. We will for sure be back and highly recommend the inn! read more

When you see the sign for this hotel, it's huge and you cannot miss it. It's a small business that has a huge customer service and hospitality that shines bright. Betsy and Bob were helpful in getting us in for an early check in and provided us with what beaches to go too and best places to eat. Betsy also provided blow dryers and helped us with our bags from our car to the room. The parking lot is 10 feet from the rooms. They provide a Continental breakfast from 7am-9:30am. It has coffee, (maxwell house) orange juice and milk and cranberry juice. Oatmeal, 3 different cereals, 3 different kinds of muffins, (looked like it was homemade from a muffin shop). The rooms are large and very clean and up to date and they provided free wi-fi. The free wi-fi helped since they didn't have movies you can buy, so we used our iPad to watch and purchase movies. It has a spectacular view of the ocean from our sliding glass door and we could walk to the pool from our rooms as well. There is also a small fridge and we stalked it full of snacks and fruit and juice. They have a pool which is 3 and 4 feet deep and was perfect for the kiddo's and a hot tub, which came in handy when it was a little chilly our first day. The only suggestion I have is to put a security bar on the inside of the door. When you have a small children and they can run out the door quickly, its best to have a lock they cannot reach. In April 2017, my fiancé had major surgery in West Palm Beach. To help take her mind off the pending ordeal, I booked two nights at the Waterfront Inn. It was a good move. Although the rooms are rather smaller than we hoped, there was plenty of room for both of us - they were very clean and the view of the river was gorgeous. We plan to return. read more

I don't give five stars easily but I left loving this place! I stumbled upon this place when I had a few days off. Many hotels like to call themselves boutique hotels and they turn out to be unkept old and broken down. This place was exactly what any traveler would want. From check in, young friendly girl took me to my room. The room is extremely clean and a view of the pool and the dock. I didn't have time to enjoy the pool but it looked nice. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with this inn. My thinking is why go out of town and stat at a five star modern hotel. I mean they all look the same. This place gave you the feel of Jupiter. I only live a few hours south yet I felt on vacation. I love the old Florida design. I mean so many of these old landmarks are getting bought out and town down. This is the last of a beautiful place to stay. I believe it deserves to be a four star hotel. Clean comfortable bed, friendly people and extremely close to Johnathon Dickerson state park and beaches. Functionally, Retro Still Works Its web site says "the Jupiter Waterfront Inn recalls the best of Old Floridian inns," and that's a fair comment. It is clean, well maintained and time-warpy. It shares the retro structural bones of 1950s coastal motels. In back, the inn's two stucco-sided floors wrap around three sides of the obligatory heated pool, leaving the fourth open for the obligatory views of some sea, in this case a semi-industrial stretch of the inter-coastal waterway. You wouldn't swim there. At night, the outside path to my first-floor room, No. 110, was dim and a bit dingy. But the room itself was spacious and fresh. King-bedded rooms more suitable for a lone traveler were all taken, so this was a double with two queen-size beds. It was quiet, attractively furnished and equipped, with a refrigerator, wide desk, ample sofa, 42-inch, flat screen TV, and Wi-Fi. At the far end it opened upon a patio far enough back from the pool to allow for some privacy. It was serene enough for reading and breakfast, which I brought from the lobby. Parking can be difficult. On busy nights, like one when I returned at 11, the inn's lot was full. I settled for a patch of the grass shoulder off the highway. The inn has no elevator or fitness center and except for the pool, nothing for kids. The lobby is inviting and sunny. Guests get breakfast there. But there's little room to sit, and the breakfast itself, albeit free, was stingy. With few special features, the inn is what it is, and was. Functionally, retro still works. I can imagine staying again for a night or two. But I'd pack a picnic breakfast and ask for a second-floor, king-bedded room and a balcony. read more

We took a chance going through Expedia and found this hotel. Dennis at the front desk was extremely accommodating and helpful to meet our needs. We stayed in the Queen with jacuzzi tub. Our room had florida tile flooring, no carpeting. The breakfast includes cold cereals, store bought muffins, some fruit, juice and coffee. It's enough to start your day if that's the kind of breakfast you enjoy. Most of the rooms have a view of the waterway inlet. We did hear an occasional vehicle drive by since the hotel is along Route 1 but it wasn't a factor. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub was nice. The hotel surroundings were kept clean. Be careful when getting ice fro the machine. It's outside and we found bug parts in the ice. We figured it adds a little fiber. LOL! read more

This inn was a great find! It was suggested to us by a friend who said she "loves to sit in the hot tub and watch the boats go by". We did just that and had an absolute blast for the last week of 2016. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and almost all of them had a patio facing the water. The rooms and grounds were very peaceful and quiet, and everyone we spoke with at the pool was friendly and asked us not to tell anyone about this secret special place. The room rates are very fair and the city of Jupiter is the best spot to visit to avoid the crazy busy-ness of Ft Lauderdale or Miami. Only complaints are the wifi is horidly slow and reconnects often, the breakfast was muffins and cereal only and the location isn't known on GPS systems so it's easy to drive past it. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views, friendly people, helpful staff and great rates, this is it. A really great spot! read more

I hate giving this place 5 stars because I hate to give away this hidden gem of locations for the world to know. The staff is impeccable. The rooms and grounds are very clean. Both my kids have seen manatees from the their fishing dock. I can not think of one bad thing to say about this place. This is my second time staying here. The next time we come back here I will coming back here again. Okay, I came up with one bad thing to say... I miss their chocolate muffins they used to have in the morning. But they still have very delicious blueberry, brand and corn muffins. Yep, that's the absolute worse thing I can come up with. See you next time I'm in the area again read more

Don't compare this to a large resort. For a small, quaint hotel, it is the perfect staycation in my opinion. They have adorable rooms (queen with a Jacuzzi) that are very clean and other amenities you can find on their website. Nice waterfront view looking out on the boats by the sandbar. The restaurants nearby: Hogsnappers and Too Bizarre alone, are good enough reason for me to go to Jupiter/ Tequesta. The pool is nice and clean overlooking a dock where you can go fishing, bring drinks out to, etc... It is also a nice little family place for kids. read more

I thought this was totally more appealing in person than in the pictures. In the pictures, for some reason it just came across as the usual outside entrance motel. However, in person, I saw it had this lovely stacked artistic design. And I might be wrong, but it seemed like the way it was designed, it gave so many more people the waterfront view. There was this great special running on hotels.com where I got a jacuzzi waterfront room (off season) for a really good price. At least I thought it was a spectacular price compared to the totally blah hotel room you'd get for the same price. The patio door seemed to be broken which is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. I was still able to get outside and enjoy the lovely patio, though. This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and it will not be my last. From the moment you check in, until the moment you check out, this inn makes you feel welcomed and at home. Plenty of parking, beautiful location and spacious rooms. Feels like old Florida (which is a good thing). Rooms are tidy. Beds are comfortable. Hands down, the only spot I would pick in this area. I have stayed at this hotel in the past while visiting family. Never again. My brother passed away a week ago. His memorial service was last Saturday. I made a reservation for my daughter and grandson the night before the service. Thursday morning my daughter called to let me know that her back had gone out and she was unable to drive. I immediately called to cancel the reservation and was told there was a 48 hour cancellation policy. No one mentioned that when I made the reservation. I explained the circumstances. The hotel didn't care. What a heartless response. As I said.... never again. If you want compassion and caring... book elsewhere. read more

I have been staying here on Business for years and have seen the improvement that the management has made over the years. This place got hit by two hurricanes several years ago and now it is a totally different Inn that it was back then. A couple of years ago my wife and I stayed for a couple of nights (on business) and said we would like to come back here for a vacation sometime. That became a reality a couple of months after IRMA, and our 19th Annual "Kids Racing For Life" event the end of October. My wife and I really needed some R&R; well we got it in spades at JWI. Just weeks after the Hurricane, the place was tiptop shape, and additional improvements were in place with new flooring in our room. The weather did not cooperate as I had hoped, (it was cool and rained) but what it did was force me to relax and really realize what a wonderful room we had. Great TV, comfortable beds, and a great base for local trips, attractions , restaurants and visit with friends on the East Coast of Fla.. Guanabanas was a quaint Island-themed place close to the Inn, and then when we wanted good Italian food we went to Nick & Johnny's Osteria for a fabulous Italian dinner. Last night there, we met my best friend at the Dive Bar and sat waterside eating oysters all night. Getting back to the Inn, I walked around the grounds in the moonlight and stopped and talked to several guest that had come in for the weekend, three of them said that it was their fourth annual get-together at the JWI. We all agreed that we could not pick a better place. We commented on the hard working grounds keeper that made the place look like Disneyland. Sara has been consistent for years in her outstanding desk duties from making the reservations, to directing where to go eat and how to get there, to hugs when checking out. How many places does the back office staff say hello when they see you or tell you goodbye when you are leaving. Yes, I recommend this place. read more

Well let me start by saying the Jupiter water front inn USED to be our favorite place to go. I cannot emphasize enough the fact that they used to be. No longer are they a place of choice by my family and I. The staff most specifically an older woman that works at the front desk. She made our time here miserable, our music that came from our iPhones was to loud apparently. (The guests downstairs were complaining) So the host fabricated a lie that she could hear our music from the lobby which was 11 rooms down through closed doors. Regardless of those factors the rooms were filthy our toilet was broke (which I did them the courtesy of fixing) and our room smelled like mildew. In the past I would recommend this place out of anywhere else but no my expectations have been dramatically lowered. read more

This is by no means a luxury hotel, and only as nice as a low to mid-range Holiday Inn. The rooms all open onto a view of the Intercoastal Waterway, and there is a decently-sized clean outside pool. There's an outdoor hot tub as well, but it was out of order for my entire stay there. Many, but not all of the rooms feature a large whirlpool bathtub in the middle of the living area. The bed is okay, but by no means remarkable or even comfortable. I fear that they use very harsh detergents on the sheets which will irritate the skin of any guest with even mildly sensitive skin. The floors in the room are terracotta tile which, wile lovely, are murderously cold without socks and very slippery with. The rooms have a mini-fridge and that's it, no other kitchen-esque appliances. There are also communicating doors to neighboring rooms, which mean that sound travels very well. As this is a family-friendly place, that means the sounds of children playing, screaming, crying, etc. The wireless internet access is complimentary, but spotty and slow at best. I had to call an average of once a day to have the router restarted. There is an attempt at a continental breakfast, muffins, apples, three cereals, and watered-down orange juice. I suggest skipping it and heading somewhere else for breakfast. This place would be fine for a night or two for non-discriminating weekenders, but longer might be trying. On the plus side, the place is clean and the staff is friendly. read more

We had a terrific stay here. Roomy, pristine accommodations. The view of the moonrise shimmering on the water from the pool and hot tub was "a memory in the making" according to my teen son. They very thoughtfully didn't charge us when we nearly forgot to check out of one of our rooms until very late in the afternoon. Plan on finding breakfast elsewhere or zip to the Publix and bring food in - there are frigs in the rooms and nice patios to sit on. read more
