Pineapple Sandwich, Black Sesame Matcha Latte
    Dana S.

Coffee shop/brunch by day and wine bar by night. I haven't visited during wine bar hours but now have stopped by twice during the day and was thoroughly impressed by the food. The green goddess bowl I had on my first visit a few years ago (sadly no longer on offer) was delicious and very unique, and the pineapple sandwich pastry I had this time had a delicate flaky texture, and the pineapple filling with custard was neither too tart nor too sweet. I ordered a black sesame matcha latte this time and it was just okay. I thought the matcha was a little weak and I had a hard time really discerning the flavour under the black sesame which was weird because the black sesame wasn't that strong either. I tried it hot but I feel like the black sesame flavour might come through better if it were iced. Good vibe. The staff is very friendly and the aesthetic is nice. The yellow checkered tables are cute. Very clean. The music was very loud for 8 am when I walked in last time but they eventually turned it down.

    Portuguese tarts

We came on a Thursday morning around 10 and the place was pretty empty. We had the orange mocha, flat white, de Nata, guava goat cheese pie and a turkey bacon sandwich. The coffee that we got was not bad. Strong flavours in the orange mocha. The beans in the flat white were very prominent. The Portuguese egg tart was okay. The filling was delicious and well balanced with that hint of cinnamon but I would have liked it more if the crust was a little more flakey (but that's just my preference). The guava goat cheese pie was delicious. The pie pastry on the outside was buttery and flakey. The filling was an interesting combination. The guava jam was my favourite part. Most of the inside was goat cheese and I would have liked a bit more guava jam for some balance. The turkey bacon sandwich was well priced for the size you get. The ciabatta bread was not overly chewy and held the fillings well. The bacon was crunchy and there was a lot of arugula and tomatoes inside to keep it fresh. The salad on the side was a pleasant surprise. I loved the citrusy brightness of the dressing. Overall the service was super nice and informative. The food came out really fast. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop for the food and would come back in the future.

Got a latte from here on the weekend while walking around the neighbourhood. Cute aesthetics inside. Quite busy on a Saturday morning but not too bad. Picked it up to go. Drink itself was okay. Not my top choice for a coffee in the neighbourhood.

Very pretty place! Perfect for a romantic date. They offer happy hour menu after 5 which includes wines, cocktails and some tapas. The service was great. We had the ginger gin drink and a hot chocolate, both were good.

Americano, blackberry danish and savory biscuit

Pleasantly surprised by this coffee shop by day, bar by night located on west broadway near macdonald. Not a large selection of baked goods but the blackberry danish (incorrectly labeled as blueberry) was very good as was the savoury cheese biscuit. Maybe because there is a cross between self and table service, the condiment station was not ideal. No cutlery, only cocktail napkins, loose sugar instead of preferred packets and no stevia, cocoa, etc. I found the coffee to be a little on the stronger side, no real crema on the Americano. We noticed some of the plated breakfasts being delivered to tables looked quite good and plan to try them in the future. But despite these minor issues this is a place we would return to, friendly and polite service.

Have been walking by this place for awhile and finally made it in. Hard to describe what it is, and it will probably take a few visits to suss out all this place has to offer. They do brunch/breakfast daily. They have a full espresso bar/menu. They have cocktails, wine and beer (currently they have Superflux's Colour and Shape). They are closed between 4-5pm. They have a Happy Hour starting at 5pm, and dinner I presume? We had brunch, the service was good and timely, the food was impressive in taste and presentation. The decor is stylishly done, it kind of has an old world greenhouse feel with a bit of English tea house, and add to that some well procured hip/chill/mellow alternative music. What a great addition to the neighborhood.

    Pastry - undercooked dough
    Helaine C.

This was purchased from the Too Good To Go app. I understand that its food saved from going to waste and not fresh from the oven. It should at the most be edible. I'm not sure the name of the pastry but the dough is definitely undercooked. It tasted like dough... disappointing and will never return. I hope they will try their pastries before selling it at regular price to other customers. It's not acceptable.

It was really awesome to try so many different types of cider. We also enjoyed the well made vegan menu and shared: Burger with side of poutine - the burger was very tasty, and the fries were top notch. The mushroom gravy was a bit too heavy on the corn starch or whatever thickener they used, making it weirdly gummy, and was somewhat lacking in flavour. But otherwise this was quite good. Jackfruit Tacos - we ordered an extra one. This was decent, but a bit underwhelming for me. The ingredients were fresh. As for the Pottery Night, that was fun! Anais, who runs the event was very kind and patient, and gave us guidance along the way. I ran out of steam after making a few Christmas ornaments, so my husband used the rest of my clay for his projects (ashtrays). I recommend signing up the next time they do this!

If I had to find a fault I would say the fries could be a little crisper. They have 19 ciders on draught, which are available by the 12oz or as a 4x4oz flight. I recommend doing the flight, as there are so many delicious flavours of ciders that this is the best way to try many. There is a small outside patio, and reasonable sized seating area inside. We were there mid-week for a late lunch, so they werent too crowded, but I can imagine this place is very popular in the evening and weekends. It's also a convenient short walk to Kitsilano beach. What better way to cool off after some sun than some cold cider!

A big thank you to Mallory and the kitchen staff! This review is 3 months late, but even a few months later, we remember our meal like it was yesterday and can't wait to return the next time we're in Vancouver. Getting to experience a Michelin Guide-recommended vegan restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip! We had (from the June 2025 menu): the Bread, the Broccolini, the Chickpea Tofu, and the Potato Cavatelli. Not a single crumb, morsel, drizzle of sauce, or even pea was left on the plates! Every bite was so full of flavor and decadent, we were so sad when the meal was over ;) The stand-out though was the Chickpea Tofu, the best tofu we've ever had and it seemed to just melt in your mouth. We also loved sitting at the bar that overlooks the open kitchen. They offer those seats for guests who want a more immersive, interactive dining experience. It was really cool to watch the chefs create each masterpiece. Overall a truly memorable and delicious experience!

First off people here a genuinely friendly, big smiles from the lady Boss and warm welcome from other staffs once we stepped inside, menu is simple and yet full of choices! Since we love grilled meats, we decided to go for the Platter for 2, oh wow, when it came out, I thought I was Fred Flintstone! Anyways, I have not had pork in Greek cooking that often, and was eager to try their Pork Souvlaki, one bite and I am hooked ( not many Greek places offers pork on their menus ), other items on the platter : Chicken Souvlaki, grilled Lamb Shoulder, Beef Patties, Pork Sausages, all came fresh off the grill with delicious char flavours! Oh and their fresh cut fries are also outstanding! For $65.00 this is a great value for such a generous portion of quality meats! As for sweets, please please try their Portokalopita ( Greek Orange Cake ) its a super super moist orange cake that goes well with a cup of coffee! Our Server Jack makes you feel relaxed and also very helpful with giving you recommendations plus a sense of humour! Street paid parking available, and if you venture into the side streets you may find free parking on your lucky day!

What a lovely, authentic Greek restaurant!…read more I first heard of this place from one of my online Vancouver restaurant newsletters that I subscribe to (the article listed 12 local restaurants that locals want to keep private, to keep them all from getting too popular and crowded). It sounded great, and their website looked good, and the reviews here were excellent. So today we tried it out, visiting at an odd-ish time (4pm). The decor is fantastic. Stone walls, murals, a cozy fireplace at the front, a gorgeous bar, a cute patio, a large and open interior. The menu is not overwhelmingly large but large enough to have lots of options, mostly for traditional Greek fare (think: souvlakis, Greek salads, dips and pitas, various grilled seafoods, lamb dishes, etc). (Note: I did not see my favorite moussaka on the menu, surprisingly). We ordered and shared a trio of dips with warm pita, a chicken souvlaki and a plate of fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. The taramasalata dip was, for me, the hit of the show. Wow, was it good! (It tasted like the most delicious smoked salmon dip imaginable, with a bit of pink caviar on top). The breads were wonderful (pita and bruschetta slices). Even the fries were fresh and hot and perfectly cooked. (They also offer the typical lemony Greek potato wedges, if that's your preference). Our server was super nice and attentive. What was really awesome here was how they accommodate people with celiac issues. They always do their fried potatoes in a separate fryer so they are always gluten-free, and the server was very knowledgable about the ingredients in every dish. She even brought out a plate of cucumber spears so my celiac friend could enjoy the dips, too. Super thoughtful! I thought the prices here were quite reasonable. My only suggestion for this restaurant is: it'd be fantastic if they had some sort of happy hour specials. When we arrived today, there was only one other dining party out on the patio. The entire restaurant interior was empty, save for my dining party. I know 4pm is an odd time, but perhaps if they had a HH menu, they could get more people in the place at this hour. It was a little disconcerting, being the only occupied table in this large, open restaurant. Just a thought! That said, I'm already planning when to return with my daughter here for dinner as I know she will love this place!

The menu changes constantly depending on what is fresh and in season. Take a look at my photos on this page to see the range. Last night an heirloom tomato and onion salad tasted like the last of summer exploding in our mouths. There are usually 4 - 6 different fresh pastas to choose from. We shared a halibut with tomato one and bolognese last night. These pastas are the definition of al dente. No place in Vancouver does it this well. There is an extensive wine list sure not to disappoint and make sure to start or finish with a cheese or two. The parmesan is mind blowing perfection. They don't take reservations and this outstanding restaurant is quite small and busy so be prepared for a wait. If you are going with a group larger than 2, the La Querica side does take reservations and I've found that to be an equally exceptional option. Just a little more casual on the L'ufficio side.
