Loved the food! Service is very attentive and fhe wait is not too long, we went in the morning-ish and was definitely crowded so be prepared. The lighting in this restaurant was amazing made everything look wonderful. Side note, the pickled tomatoes tasted a little like cinnamon, a friend I ate with also agreed, which was interesting.

soso yummy!! limited menu and has mostly savory options so just keep that in mind when you're going w you're friends and someone has a sweet tooth. i got a smoked salmon benedict and it was SO GOOD. they give you more that enough food and the hash blocks are perfect. place is a little small so keep that in mind if you're visiting on a weekend that you may have to wait a little. service was pretty good too, and place was decorated beautifully. also had extensive drink menu, both alcoholic and non alcoholic!

I was meeting my old friend for coffee and light meal in late morning. It was sunny day we decided to meet up somewhere in Steveston so we picked this place. This cafe floor area is not very large. The tables are packed so when I entered I could feel the density but this wasn't a concern to me at all. The vibe was good and the server welcomed me and my friend had got a table already. I ordered a regular latte and a half size avocado toast. They served large size as free upgrade (because it was my first time? Thanks anyway) I'm happy for this coffee upgrade. The toast was freshly made and the texture of the sourdough was good. The colour did elevate my appetite. The portion was perfect for me. The server was very attentive and proactively asking if any needs. It was a great experience and I recommend this place.

We came here for weekend brunch with three adults and one child. They have high chairs and was very welcoming to families with young children. My partner and I got the Korean Benny and the Korean Fried Chicken & Waffles. I love their unique twist on mixing Western Brunch cuisine with a dash of Korean flavour sprinkled in. All their food was extremely tasty and I cannot wait to be back. There can be a bit of a wait, especially on the weekend, so I suggest putting your name down on the list first and then walking around Steveston Village as they will give you a call when your table is ready.

Solid brunch by the wharf, I'm so glad we came here!! We wanted to stop somewhere for brunch in Richmond before our flight and I'll definitely be coming here again!!! Their lattes were super nutty and earthy and the breakfast foods were delicious. They put so much avocado on the avocado toasts and their bread was also delicious!! I got a side of eggs to add to my avo toasts which was also delicious -- and I'm not one to eat eggs at restaurants!! My friends also loved their eggs benedicts and the hashbrowns are a MUST TRY. The space is tight but so cute inside, they set a nice, calming vibe. There's free parking all over the wharf and the area is very walkable!!

We went on a weekday so it wasn't super busy, but the restaurant was short-staffed. We didn't wait too long to get our order though. Korea flavours were great! My son ordered the chicken burger and I had the bulgogi bowl. Loved both!!

Was seated fairly quickly the past weekend - this is a touristy location so it can get quite busy - so don't forget to put your name on the waitlist! Plenty of scattered parking in the nearby area, some paid and some are free, so pay attention. Chicken and waffles seemed to be a safe bet for me - however, maybe i picked the wrong thing, or just hard to please.. The chicken was soft and juicy, however it definitely failed the crunch test for me - was more like breaded lightly baked chicken. The waffle was on the dryer end of the spectrum for me and didn't give off much of a independent taste - so more of just flour. - you will definitely need the syrup for this one. Open minded to come again to explore the menu if I'm in the area, however this try was a miss for me.

BEST tasting brunch ever. Everything we ordered was perfect. Usually a bit of a wait on weekends but 100% worth it. Coffees are smooth. Each dish is really flavourful and well presented.

This place really understands brunch done right. The pancakes were light and fluffy with a beautiful golden crust, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with the fresh berries and generous dollops of whipped cream. Everything felt balanced and thoughtfully plated. The chicken and waffles were a standout for me. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned well enough that it didn't rely solely on syrup for flavor. The waffle had a nice crunch with a soft center, making each bite satisfying without feeling heavy. I also appreciated the savory options like the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was rich but not overwhelming, and the eggs were cooked just right. Portions were generous without being excessive, and the coffee was smooth and comforting, exactly what you want with a relaxed brunch.

The space is small, we went right at opening on Saturday and there was already a small line forming. The staff wss friendly and sat as right away. We ordered the smoked salmon Benny and the pork belly Benny. The square hashbrowns stood out for us and were crispy and delicious. The poached eggs were cooked perfect with runny yolks in the centre and the wait was not too long for the food. The only suggestion I could make is a side salad would be nice but the food was great. would return. The menu items are Asian fusion inspired.

If you're looking for a simple twist to your brunch routine (and you're in the Steveston area) look no further than Toast to Coast. The bennys are perfectly made (I'm a soft egg kind of guy) and the drinks are delicious! However, my top favourites are definitely their hash browns (fried perfectly in cute little rectangular morsels) and their chicken and waffles with a side of Korean pickles and gochujang/maple syrup dipping sauce. Simply WOW! Ambiance is simple yet very chill with a nod to some Korean vibes. Note, lines can get long depending on when you go. So get their early if you can. Unless it is a weekday, then you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Been wanting to try here for awhile but always see line up Finally able to go and see what the hype is about. Parking around the area in Steveston is available that is free but also meter parking lots also available too. Reading the reviews and ratings - I see why now as I enjoyed the food and so did my family We had the following - * Ice Matcha Strawberry * Hazlenut Latte * Japchae Bowl * Korean Benny * Korean Fried Chicken & Waffles * Korean Bowl Spacious and bright with natural lights from the windows on a nice sunny day making it so enjoyable with great food. Would go back and recommend

A quaint place located in Steveson, with a Korean-inspired brunch menu! The interior was decorated well, and had great vibes. We ordered a couple of dishes from the menu, and standouts are definitely the chicken and waffles and the fisherman's feast. I'd skip out on the benedict, though. I loved the Korean touches on the fried chicken, with the spicy sauce as an awesome substitute for maple syrup. I initially thought the rosemary sprig was just for decoration, but the fried chicken also had a nice hint of rosemary. We got the fisherman's feast with bulgogi, and I'd say that the bulgogi was slightly different from a traditional bulgogi, but it was excellent regardless. Definitely a noteworthy spot to check out for brunch!

I have had many better Thai experiences throughout the lower mainland at a fraction of the price and with better service. I even asked a question of our waiter and he nervously responded, "I'm sorry, but we are not allowed to converse with the guests." Both myself and my friend who invited me thought this was very odd and it put a dark mood on the evening as we felt like we were being watched by the owners. It was creepy. A couple of other friends of mine also had similar experiences remarking that that staff are always walking on eggshells to the point where it dampened their experience. The experience was an unfortunate waste. Afterwards, we went to a different seafood restaurant in Steveston to get a full meal and we were satisfied by that experience, thank goodness. I have since steered many interested parties away from this restaurant and will continue to do so. **Plus, I don't know why it's stated here on Yelp that they have a Michelin Star, because according to the Michelin Guide, they do not. If Michelin has awarded them one, then Michelin stars mean nothing.

Portions are small, but clearly designed for a fine-dining experience rather than a filling meal. Standouts: The Pad Thai was impressive and well-balanced, especially for someone very familiar with Thai food. But the highlight for me was the Organic Coconut Galangal Soup with Crispy Wild Sockeye Salmon -- deeply flavorful, comforting, and the dish that truly stayed with me. Service: Attentive and thoughtful. I was here for my birthday and received a greeting letter and card, which made the experience feel extra special. Value: Pricey, yes -- but when you factor in the food, service, and overall experience, it's worth it for a special occasion. Highly recommended for celebrations or a meaningful night out.

For dinner we shared a diavola pizza and smoked salmon parpadelle. The pizza was good but the crust was soggy. The salmon parpadelle was good but I think it would have been better with another pasta - spaghetti, linguine or fettucine as the pasta could not be twirled with a fork and spoon and had to be cut up. The service was excellent. When our server Malaka heard that we were coming in from Abbotsford she said that she would give us the "best seat in the restaurant". When we opted to sit on the patio she gave us a complimentary tiramisu as a thank you. It was such a kind gesture. It was a nice relaxing evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The entrance is completely unmarked, with darkened windows and no signage; you literally have to decide whether to push or pull your way into the gloom, which fits the "thief" theme perfectly once you step inside. Inside, the space leans into a **chic** speakeasy ambience, only slightly undercut by 90s chillout tunes that are a touch loud but still on-brand for a laid-back late-night hideout. The food is where things really land. Frog legs arrive as the star curiosity and end up tasting strikingly familiar--so much so they echo the famed chicken wings from Anh and Chi in both comfort and flavour. The beef tartare is properly seasoned and genuinely delicious, rich but balanced enough that it never feels heavy. Ox tail is a unique inclusion on the menu and it follows through, offering deep, slow-cooked flavour that stands out even among the stronger dishes. Duck breast is cooked to a textbook pink, tender and juicy, an easy "order again" plate. Dessert keeps the momentum going. An oolong peach creation acts as the perfect finishing touch: fragrant, slightly floral, and just sweet enough to close the meal without tipping into cloying territory. Service and atmosphere reinforce the sense of a discreet drinking den--this is the place you duck into for a properly made drink and a series of small plates, not a high-traffic scene bar. With nothing to complain about--from food to vibe--The Good Thief feels like a well-executed concept: a hidden, unmarked bolthole where you slip in from the dark, linger over excellent plates, and slip back out just as quietly.
