I attend CorePower yoga in Boston, and wasn't expecting to be able to get anything like than on the Cape. However, this studio is a hidden gem! The classes are a great length, heated slightly and very on par with what I look for in a Boston yoga class. That being said, I probably wouldn't have given this place 5 stars in Boston, but for the Cape it is definitely going to be my new yoga spot. The instructors really seem to know what they are doing, and the class was challenging, but could accommodate all levels.

This leaves a dozen+ members waiting in the parking lot guessing when the doors will open or if they should go home. And honestly, things happen it's about how a business handles them that tells the story. That is where this review starts... For the 2nd time this month the person opening the gym no showed. Instead of Fitness 500 using this as an opportunity to go above and beyond or wow members they instead get defensive, testy, and full of excuses. The manager, 'L' may be a fine personal trainer but needs to spend more time learning how to speak to the public when such situations arise (this coming from a career executive who cringes when I read 'L's' emails other members share with me). Heaven forbid Fitness 500 would credit dedicated early morning members, but a simple stand at the door the next morning and proactively apologize would go a long way. Send an email, facebook post, or do something PROACTIVELY to acknowledge the frustration instead of waiting on members to contact you upset. Imagine if you wrote an email to Fitness 500 with your frustration and the next time you came in they said grab a drink from the cooler 'on us' for your trouble. THAT is customer service. THAT is wowing your customers, THAT is something memorable that members share with other members instead of people pissed off talking trash to one another about how poor Fitness 500 customer service is. And lastly.. when the owner gets involved, STOP yelling at members. Multiple members have shared this. We WANT Fitness 500 to be successful. WE WANT to have a fun gym community. Fitness 500 has every opportunity to come out shining in a unfortunate situation that seems to be reoccurring. But fails to do so each time and instead puts down members encouraging them to cancel. Nice!

I also have a soft spot for women owned small businesses. A year later, now that I'm a local, I'm giving it a second chance. No, it isn't F45. Not close. But it does the trick. The owner is lovely and tries hard to keep stubborn clients that know it all safe and enjoying a good workout. I can't see the women in the Cape Cod area. Don't frighten me - some do! You can't guide them if they're doing something that could hurt them because these women know it all and want to do it their way. But the trainers here know how to keep them safe! (despite their hardest intentions to kill themselves, because some of them really wanna show that they are fit! really!)
