Just drains showed up promptly I have always used them there prices are Excellent. We had a clogged drain that we needed to have cleaned out. We have a septic system and it is accessible. The gentleman that came out was unable to lift the lid and stated that my lid was sealed shut and that I needed to call a septic tank contractor immediately. So they ended up having to pull our master bath toilet to snake the mainline. Had to bring in a large machine to do the work. In the mist of them bringing the machine in my house that is brand new remodeled home. They put a huge gouge in a brand new door frame. When they went to Reinstall our toilet they did not put in a new gasket. Said he didn't have any. The toilet is completely off wobbly and leaks. I called our septic tank company immediately they showed up at 11 and pulled the lid very easily and said that our septic tank was fine but they charged me $400. That call was completely unnecessary if the person that showed up to our house originally from Just Drains was strong enough to pull the lid to our septic tank or knew the tricks of leverage to get it open then I wouldn't have had to have another company come out on an emergency call saying that my tank was bad. I called just trains to let them know what happened took pictures of the damage in my home and what's going on with our toilet and he said that he would call me back and now he has blocked my number. I was just asking him to make it right and he refused to do so completely unfair. I'm so irritated it's worth me taking them to small claims at this point. We used to think that just drains was a wonderful upstanding company but they are not. If you're smart you will look elsewhere for your plumbing needs. It's been a rough 24 hours. First off, my poor car suffered damage in a wreck, had to rent a car, and then this morning I hear the drains bubbling up. Uh Oh. You never want to hear that sound if you own a home. Brown water in the tub and everything. Yeah. So, I called "Just Drains" and told them what happened. I live in a little older house, so I have used them before. But it's a Saturday, and thought that it would be difficult to have them come out. Roscoe and his son were at my house within an hour. He did his thing with the drain equipment, took about 25 minutes and the drains were clear again. He charged me a reasonable price and I was very happy. But here's the thing about this that is important. Roscoe not only came out on a Saturday, it was his 39th Wedding Anniversary too! I was so blown away by this. They are dedicated to what they do and it shows. If you ever DO hear that sound, call Roscoe. He will make your day.. read more

Do not use the company. Incompetence, inefficient work, inappropriate behavior, and worst of all, ignorant homophobia from their employee Junior (who is the son of the owner). After several home visits and attempts to solve why our shower wasn't getting consistent hot water, finally (weeks later) the solution was discovered and a new shower mixer was installed, but not before Junior decided to inappropriately rant about "anal sex and oral copulation" (a direct quote), professing that gay marriage is wrong, and seemingly praising the people who stood up against California enacting gay rights laws. Our conversation ended right there and we demanded he leave the house immediately. You let the free market decide; do you want people like this earning your business? Sadly, some of you probably do. For the rest of us, don't give these people your time, energy, or consideration. I'm sure there are competent plumbers who do not spew heinous beliefs in the area. read more

Just Drains is a joke. The landlord sent them to my business to clear some toilets yesterday, still no resolution. Called the business number and a lady on a cell phone picked up and handed the phone over to Jeff, the owner. I expressed to him my dissatisfaction for the lack of communication and service that him and his team did yesterday. He ended up hanging up on me when he wasn't happy with what I said. There was no communication to me, my staff on the diagnostic outcome; they just did the best they can do to waste my time and I still have the problem. They removed two toilets to snake the problem because they couldn't find the outside clean-out. Not only that, they left a mess and sewage on my tile floors. They didn't even bother to clean up after themselves. My staff hand no idea that their team left our business. They were like ninjas. After much research, turns out the guy isn't even licensed. SMDH. How do you do business without a license. Use a real plumber. read more

On first visit, very nice and likeable guys. Don't let first impressions fool you - some folks know how to turn on the charm to win the job. They had to get a specialized part to install our dishwasher. It took them FOUR days to get the part. Then, they texted me in the morning indicating they needed to come over. I was not home, my wife was tending to kids and not home. They told her they were 4 doors down and could be over in an hour. She came home, waited, they never showed up. She called them again, they told her it would be another hour. This went on for FOUR hours, every hour saying they would be here in an hour. This all started around 10AM. The last time they said they were just getting BACK into Tracy....when they were four doors down earlier! They finally showed up at 6:15, right as I was leaving to my kids' school for an event. I commented to the guy about him just now showing up, and that we had waited for them ALL AFTERNOON, and now we had commitments that we had to get to. The guy threw a major tantrum, told me "Well, I guess we'll just have to call it", stomped back to his truck, and before slamming his door, said "Have a nice life." Very much unprofessional and inconsiderate of the fact that they held my wife up all afternoon, when she had things she could have done. Avoid using these guys. They were a referral from a trusted contractor and friend - who will now NEVER give them referrals. They were rude, showed attitude, and failed to apologize for all of the delays. They seemed to expect that we would simply be okay with waiting forever for them. Oh, and did I mention, this second visit was simply to "check the connection to see if the part would fit"? Tells me, they truly don't know what they are doing, but guessing. Do yourself a favor....pay a little extra for a licensed plumber. Just Drains is NOT licensed with CSLB. Thus the cheaper price. 1 star is more than these guys deserve. With this kind of customer "service" - I can see them quickly going out of business. I am a member of our local chamber of commerce and handle real estate. They could have earned a LOT of business from me - instead, someone else will profit thanks to this absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL experience. read more

As with the other review mentioned below, the others must have the wrong company? Jeff and Roscoe are fast and knowledgeable. They new what the problem was (water heater issue) and helped with the warranty claim. Work was done fast and very reasonably priced. The parts they used are eco friendly to boot. I also asked about new install prices and their prices are more realistic then the others (have a relative that is a plumber in SF as reference). Well. Grey water lines are blocked, so no water usage until they're fixed. "Just Drains", whom I've used for years, sent an elderly fellow out. Nice guy. The first day he said his back hurt too much to work so he couldn't come. The second day he came, made a mess, couldn't get his snake through the drain, and left after telling me he brought the wrong tools. When he left, the sink that had been draining slowly was completely blocked! He made it worse! The third day, he was clearly in pain as he kept grimacing and rubbing his left shoulder. He ran a rooter through the drain, tested it, it was still fully blocked. Then he finally said the pipe had to be replaced, called my landlord, apparently got paid, got his tools, and walked off... I didn't even know he had left. He left me a massive mess; grey matter splattered all over the sink, window, faucet, counters, dishes....really unprofessional departure. I can't believe he made my landlord pay! For what? Making the situation worse and unable to complete the job? I hate to slam a guy just trying to make a living, but there comes a time when tradesmen need to start thinking about retirement...their bodies just wear out from all the hard work over the years. I will be following this post up after the new plumber leaves. If the pipe really needs to be replaced, I will apologize profusely. If it gets fixed without any pipe replacement, I will be expecting a full refund for my landlord for what he paid Just Drains. We have had chronic drain problems for over 15 years, could not identify the exact problem. Just Drains came out today and did a camera inspection that identified our problem. They worked with a snake to clean the line then reinspected until the line was completely clear. Gave us advise to keep the line clear of grease in the future. A few months ago my husband and I woke up and our water heater was leaking everywhere. My husband had to go to work and I was freaking out and called Sears. My landloard used Just Drains as his go to plumbers & About the third time I called Jeff to come out to check my plumbing he expressed his frustration by cussing at me.Saying" fuck this and fuck that I will hang up on you lady" is not the way to talk to tenants. I called later in the day, to get an appointment for the next day. I was told that Roscoe would be out at 08:00. Roscoe was punctual, and was at my home slightly before 08:00, on a very cold morning. Roscoe was courteous and efficient. He had my main drain unplugged quickly. The price for doing the job was great, and I have no complaints about that item. I would definitely recommend this company, and call them in the future for any drain problems. How did I find them, simple, I let my fingers do the walking in the Yellow Pages, and their ad caught my eye. They quoted me a decent price $75. & told me that they wouldn't charge me if they couldn't fix the problem. EXCELLENT !!! Raw sewage overflowed from our downstairs toilet on to the bathroom floor and into the laundry room. Our rental company (Regency Real Estate) contacted Just Drains and they arrived within 30 minutes!!! The problem was a clogged sewer line near the street - likely from roots. I had to use just drains to unclog my toilets. They charged 100 to remove a toilet and 85 dollars to use the machine to unclog the drain. I'm a senior and they gave me a 5.00 discount. Has anyone else been charged this much to remove a toilet? Needless to say I believe 180.00 was excessive. Not sure if I will use them again. But they are very knowledge and friendly. read more

Just drains is awesome... I had major plumbing issues - had one plumbing company come out and tell me it would cost me about $5K to replace my pipes (toilets we not flushing - we have an old house). The other company could not snake our clean out all the way - Just Drains comes out and snakes the whole pipe, gives me recommendations on how to help avoid the problem and they were just awesome.
