The last time I brought my pup in for grooming, she came home with an injured legs. When I called to ask about it, I was initially told she had already been injured when I dropped her off, which made no sense to me. If my dog had been injured beforehand, I would never have taken her there. I ended up paying over $300 in veterinary bills. The vet said the groomer stressed her legs. When I spoke with Carlos, he apologized and offered me a complimentary bath on my dog's next visit instead of a refund, and I agreed. I returned for the promised bath. Unfortunately, the offer was not honored. Instead, another employee became argumentative, raised their voice at me, and I felt bullied and disrespected. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. It wasn't just the injury, it was the way the situation was handled afterward. Because of that, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this business based on my experience. I have been coming to "PUPAZZO DOG GROOMING" just to get my "roaddawg" MALI'S nails clipped and smoothed down for over 5 years now. Whenever I come the Manager CARLOS is always so accommodating and friendly not to only me, but especially to my dog. He manages to quickly and efficiently tend to my dogs nails, with the kind help from the amazing young ladies working there. Today, JULIE helped and was very patient and kind to MALI! While waiting, I observed how patient and loving all the girls are to the dogs. Dash, (the young lady working) caught my eye, because I could tell she loved working with the dog she was grooming and was very sweet and kind to it. What was most important and impressive to me was that the dogs were happy wagging their tails as they were getting groomed! I love this place! We've been bringing our dogs, Ollie and Baine, here for almost a year and have had such a great experience! The groomers do a great job with them, and Julie always remembers our dogs when we come in. One of our dogs has a gut disease that affects her strength and possibly makes it hard for her to stand for long periods, and Julie always remembers that and is mindful of it, which means a lot to us. They also have great availability and have been able to fit us in last minute, even before big holidays when grooming appointments are usually hard to get. Highly recommend! Love this place! Took my pups in for a nail trim and they were able to handle it right away, even though we didn't have an appointment. They're always super friendly and patient, which is important to us because our dogs HATE getting their nails trimmed. I can never do it myself but somehow the staff here work their magic to get it done super quickly and efficiently. They always do an amazing job and trim the nails back well. I've been to other places where they'll hardly trim the nail tips and it feels like such a waste. Not here, they trim as far back as they can go without cutting the quick or causing any bleeding. I've only been using Pupazzo for a short while, but I've been very pleased each time, except this last time. This time I was a bit concerned because I dropped him off at 10am and by 2pm they still hadn't called me, how long does it take to groom or how long did my dog sit in a cage waiting for his turn? Anyway, when I finally picked him up and got him home, he kept shaking his head like crazy. I knew something was not right. I checked his ears and they were super inflamed. When I reached out to Pupazzo, they left me a return message saying his ears were inflamed when I took him in. They weren't. I just wish they'd brought it to my attention when I picked him up. He looked good, but he was very uncomfortable for several days. He wouldn't let me touch his ears to even put soothing cream on it. Even though this unfortunate event happened, I have to say Pupazzo does a great job grooming. I don't know if we're going back though. read more

We've been taking our three dogs to this groomer for quite some time. The cutters are good and we were always happy with the finished haircut. But when we recently presented our dogs at the salon for another haircut, we were appalled at the way in which the man checking them in treated us. One of our Shih-Tzu eyelashes was cut last time. Probably an accident, but he vehemently denied they had done it, basically calling us liars. He was so obnoxious, we simply walked out. We will never go there again. read more

Disappointed with how they clipped my pup's nails. The quicks are exposed and noticed some of them were bleeding. They completely messed up his back paws and didn't even bother to mention it to us when we picked him up. I understand black nails are hard to work with but almost all the nails on his back paws are damaged. They also used a bunch of fragrance on my dog after I asked for them not to. I even brought in my own shampoo for them to use, which they were completely ok with. My pup has been itchy ever since we picked him up. Will not be taking him here again. Extremely disappointed I have been taking my fur baby here for the 3 years and she loves her spa days. She gets groomed at least once a month and over the the last year I have noticed the quality of her grooming falling with every time she goes in. Her face is no longer clean and smooth but teddy bear, the lines on her feet are constantly uneven and the polish on her toes is all over her feet. When making her appointment I always request the same groomer and today I learn she hasn't been employed with the groomer for quite some time so I have been booking appointments every time with a groomer that is not grooming my dog. Who knows what else they lie about. I trust when I pay extra for a brushing teeth that it is done but I have no way of knowing for sure because once you are known to be fraudulent it is very likely that you are fraudulent in other aspects of business. When calling to find out if my dog is done after being there for hours sometimes up to 6 hours I was told if I didn't like it come get my dog and hung up on. This after enquiring how and when do I make an appointment where my dog is not left in a cage all day after all she is not matted and she behaves for grooming since she has been grooming since she was 8 weeks old. Making excuses for this poor service because my dog had bonded with her groomer thinking she left early or arrived late because I specifically made my appointment with her only to find out this whole time they have been outright lying explains a lot. I will not be bringing my fur baby here and will not encourage my family or friends to either. If quantity service and care is important to you, you won't either. read more

He butchered my dogs haircut because he had someone else work on him and I requested Dalma only. I cannot say enough awesome stuff about this place! I just love love love their attention to detail. When I pick my dogs up they are just smiling from ear to ear with tails wagging. They are super clean, their little puppy pads are so pink, the tears stains are washed away, and they smell amazing. They remember our dog's names and make us feel so welcome. I was watching another groomer try and clean this poodles ears while we were checking in our three dogs and she was so sweet speaking to the dog. She spoke English and Spanish to the dog in the cutest way saying "biting is not ok". Just warmed my heart! She knew the dog was anxious and she was so sweet and loving to the pup!! I've taken my dogs here four times now and I love this place. Very affordable, always easy to make an appointment, very friendly and my dogs smell and look SO GOOD after! I have a 120lb German Shepard/husky mix and his coat is insane. No one in a million years could keep up with this dogs insane coat and when I bring him here and get him deshedded I swear he comes back 20lbs lighter . They do an absolutely amazing job on him and my border collie mix and I'm so glad I found this place! That huge "911" discovery triggered a flea bath that added $35 to the bill. When you sign the agreement at drop off, there is a clause that allows them to add to the job without checking with you beforehand. Clever and legal. I give the owner a thumbs up for business acumen, but a thumbs down for lowballing, then adding for an inconsequential issue that 99% of dogs have. We wont be back. read more

I brought my babies last week asking for flea bath nail cut n grind and other services and I never ask for discount . But when u pick my babies up their nail still long n sharp so I asked what happened they said they forgot n literally do it there and then . I stand by taking my dogs here to get groomed.They never deliver less than great service and quality grooming. The groomers are very talented and friendly. The owner comes and picks up my dogs on a Saturday every few months from Artesia. They also have really great treats and pet supplies. This place is convenient as it is next to our vet. Xavier was able to fit my goldendoodle on short notice, fortunately. I dropped him off and they said they would call us and it should be about 3 hours. 5 hours passed. I called to ask because it was passed closing time. We picked him up and he looked great and smelled great. He started stinking within a week and a half. Nothing out of the ordinary. I think they ran out of time and just sprayed him well with cologne and brushed him a little and sent him on his merry way. Very disappointed. I'm a new customer here & my dog's hair cut was okay. but the reason for this review was for the poor dog i witnessed crying/yelping as a lady was ripping a comb through his ear hair. The dog was crying & the lady was literally ripping through the knots in the dogs hair on the ears. It was a small white Maltese breed type of dog. Anyone with common sense know to hold the hair with one hand & comb with the other hand, but She was just ripping through it as the poor dog yelped for a couple minutes.
