    Before haircut
    Jenö M.

I just moved to California three months ago from the east coast and my puppy Wednesday was at that point where she needed to have a haircut. I had been holding it off for about a month due to being a little stressed on, ensuring that I find someone good and ensuring Wednesday would be OK. I went to Costco next to this PetSmart in signal Hill and I've never been in there before and just randomly noticed that they had a grooming department . I went inside and got a price quote. I will say I was a little nervous while discussing pricing and how long it's been since her last visit it plus someone new cutting her hair and told Bree and her colleague that it made me a little anxious to just get Wednesday cut by anybody, but I decided to go ahead and allow them to give her a haircut. This was the best decision ever. Bree was the person who cut her hair and told me it would be about three hours, until she would be done so I went off and did a couple errands but before I could complete anything, Bree called and stated she was already done with Wednesday. It was only about 40 minutes after I dropped her off. Bree absolutely did an amazing job cutting Wednesday the same way, from a photograph that I showed her of how she usually is groomed. She plucked her ears. She did her nails. cut her fur, as well, as pressed her glands, and it was not expensive at all (which was another worry of mine) I was absolutely blown away by the amazing job that Bree had done with Wednesday and even though I don't live close to this location, I'll probably be driving out here from now on because she did such an amazing job. I definitely recommend anybody to come to this location. It was soooo worth it. I wish I could have tipped more than I did but I sadly couldn't due to finances at the moment. Everyone else with puppies, give them a shot and I am sure you will see how amazing they are. Thank you again Bree & her colleague so much

Visited today with my sister. She scored an orthopedic doggy bed on clearance for 1/5 of the regular price. This was the best deal we got today. Store was organized and well stocked. Not many employees. Maybe because it was a Sunday or even Father's Day and there's an expectation that they were not going to be busy. Surprisingly the employees we did encounter did not offer to help or greet us when we entered. I purchased two doggy tee shirts for my pooch. Wish they had a larger selection though.

I got this blanket at PetSmart Cerritos, I need it one more. they don't carry blankets for a cat carrier at signal hill location

Every time I visit to buy something for my cats, I can't find it at this location I always have to go to another PetSmart store to buy what I need. It's very frustrating and inconvenient From a simple blanket, to a nice male cat collar in the proper size, they simply don't seem to ever have it in stock They offer a wide variety of pet services but their main focus are dogs They've a huge selection for dogs, a nice decent selection for hamsters and reptiles but very limited selection for cats They also don't replenish stock for cats often making it challenging to buy again and again the same products Staff is friendly if you approach them but they are helpless If you're a cat owner or if you're trying to buy a gift for a cat parent in your life, based on all my consistent negative experiences over the past 3-years, I would recommend you visiting another PetSmart store for all your shopping kitty needs www.PetSmart.com Curbside pickup available

So happy he got a bandana! Makes us for the times I paid for one & never received it.

Jamie is amazing! Been bringing my pup here to get groomed for a while now and most of the groomers have been good, but Jamie's service has by far been the best! She's super sweet and has the best energy that my pup warmed up to quickly. She gave me a run down of how he did & found out he's not the most comfortable with nail trimming, which is completely new to me as no other groomer has given me a thorough run down before. She even sent him home with a bandana which I've never received before, even when I've paid for the top package that's supposed to include it. It's clear she loves her job and it shows in the way she treats pets & their parents. Thanks again Jamie!

Cheddar the "nightmare" the groomers couldn't manage to handle.

I made a grooming appointment at this location for my French bulldog. This was his first time ever getting groomed but has been to the vet & did just fine. Firstly the second we walked in I wasn't really sold. The grooming staff was not friendly besides the manager I'm assuming. I even told my boyfriend I wasn't too sure I wanted to leave Cheddar there but we figured he needed his nails cut badly so we went with it. The groomers name was Jackie. Not friendly once so ever by the way, I don't think she ever even smiled at us once. After we checked in I told her that this was Cheddar's first time getting groomed and to please be patient with him because he would likely be very nervous. All she said was she had another French bulldog earlier and he was fine up until he needed to be dried and he freaked out. Basically did not feel confident in this girl at all. Lo and behold we went to pick his up and they said they couldn't grind his nails because he wouldn't let them. They said they tried with 2 people and couldn't because he was wiggling around too much. They recommended a vet groomer. I wouldn't even have minded that they couldn't do the service, however.. The entire reason for this post is the second we walked in to pick up our baby the groomer Jackie said "Thank God" Thank God we were there to pick him up? It took every ounce of patience in me not to blow up at this girl. Cheddar is a puppy. He doesn't know many people, was likely extremely nervous which I made PERFECTLY clear beforehand. And I partially blame myself because I already had a bad feeling about this woman Jackie. Besides that we couldn't calm him down for over an hour. God knows how they handled him with this attitude. And to any owners who's dogs were being groomed while we were there, they don't handle your pets with care. I saw a groomer walk with a dog in their hand and the dog hit their face on the plastic screen while she walked by and she didn't even care. Pet smart please consider re-evaluating your groomers. What an absolute terrible feeling it was picking up my dog and hearing your groomer say "Thank God" as if he was a nightmare. I'm sure it was difficult to work with a puppy that's never been groomed before in their life, which I made clear when I spoke with her initially but WOW, I was actually shocked to hear a "professional" dog groomer say that about my baby. Will absolutely NEVER be using any Petsmart services ever again.

I genuinely can't recommend Brad highly enough. By the time…read moreI reached out, I had already spent months trying to fix Sunny's leash pulling and reactivity. I'd worked with two trainers, including a 3 week board-and-train program ($5,000 investment), followed every instruction, and practiced daily, yet I didn't see changes. I was managing the behavior without ever understanding what was causing it. That changed within the first two hours with Brad. He didn't start with commands or tools. Instead, he focused on the psychology behind Sunny's reactions: what was driving them, what was reinforcing them, and what I was unknowingly communicating. No one had ever explained it that clearly. That was the turning point. For the first time, I wasn't guessing or correcting blindly. I could see what Sunny was experiencing in real time and understand how my timing, energy, and responses were shaping his behavior. That clarity changed everything. Walks feel completely different now. Sunny is no longer pulls since my training with Brad, the reactive outbursts are gone, and the experience itself is calm. I'm no longer bracing for problems because I know how to prevent them. I am SO appreciative!

Great experience! We have an 8-year-old rescue Golden…read moreRetriever who developed some habits we wanted to correct and weren't able to do on our own with traditional training. A couple of these weren't terribly serious, but we felt we weren't "in charge" anymore, that our dog wasn't getting the message from whatever we were doing, and that if we didn't do something different, it could really get out of control. Brad really helped us with this, where traditional "training" wasn't working. We have two or three things we're working on with our girl, but here is the most dramatic change we had with one issue. She is very food motivated, and would beg from us at the table whenever we sat down to eat, and would be underfoot in the kitchen during prep. She got overly excited and would not settle and lie down. Brad explained we weren't communicating well with her on a dog level, so to get that communication kicked in to gear, he actually started our session not with this problem, but with making sure she would not dash out the front door when it was opened. This was to establish that we were in charge and what was expected of her. What he showed us how to do worked like you wouldn't believe. It was like a light bulb went off for our girl. What we did affected everything after that. It wasn't about dashing out the door, it wasn't about begging for food, it was about knowing what was acceptable in our pack and to look to us for direction. That night, at dinner, she went to her "spot" with a simple direction and was relaxed during our entire meal. She can now be directed to her spot and will stay quietly any time we need her to. Best of all, she seems truly relieved that she doesn't have to be in charge and that WE are. She is much more relaxed around so many other things. It gave us so much more confidence! I didn't think that what Brad taught us would work. It's quite counterintuitive. But trust me, it worked like magic. This is not dog training - it's communication with your dog. Brad answers all your questions, doesn't waste your time, shows you clearly and directly what will work. We're so thankful we found him!

It's made these classes invaluable and let me tell you some reasons why ... - your fur babies get trained via the knowledgeable, incredibly patient trainers training YOU, the parent (handler) - the social environment with other dogs and people around WHILE your baby gets trained by what you learn (they get used to all the distractions like in the outside world) as they are learning and it becomes a norm for them and helps with less skiddish behavior and able to focus better even with distractions - the variety of classes ... from beginner puppy to advanced levels and fun classes like different Agility class levels and even Pilates and playgroups for different sizes and personality types of dogs - did I mention the awesome trainers? They are always willing to answer your questions and eager to help in whatever way they can. This I signed up for the VIP program and honestly was a bit hesitant at first because of the price. But it really has been money so well spent. Don't get me wrong ... you have to put your time into it too in doing what you learned in class while at home and really thru-out any time you are not in class but talk about setting your dog up for success! It helps ease a lot of frustration between you and your dog when you help them understand you and you understand them so much more thru the bonding in this process of learning. To summarize ... just do it.

We definitely recommend Andi!…read more We originally reached out to Andi for consultations regarding both of our Maltipoos, Kiki and Coco. During our initial phone consultation, Andi was incredibly honest and genuine. After learning more about our dogs, she felt that Kiki was the one who would benefit most from formal training and suggested that we could apply what we learned with Kiki to Coco as well. We really appreciated that she didn't try to upsell us on training for both dogs when she easily could have. That immediately showed us how much she genuinely cares about helping dogs and their families. At the time, Kiki was about six months old and was extremely reactive to just about everything in the outside world. We were looking for someone whose methods aligned with our values, and we loved Andi's positive reinforcement approach. Kiki completed Andi's six-week program, and the growth we've seen has been incredible. What sets Andi apart is that she isn't focused solely on teaching dogs tricks or obedience commands. She truly cares about each dog's emotional well-being and how they're feeling throughout the process. We learned so much--not just about Kiki, but about ourselves as dog owners. Andi helped us understand how our own behaviors and responses can shape our dogs, which was eye-opening and incredibly valuable. Of course, the work doesn't stop when the training sessions end. It takes consistency and ongoing practice at home, but Andi gave us the tools and confidence to continue building on Kiki's progress. The effort has been absolutely worth it. One of the best parts is that we were able to use many of the same training methods with our older Maltipoo, Coco, and she learned and benefited from them as well. Andi actively encouraged this, which we really appreciated. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and ethical trainer who truly puts dogs' well-being first, we wholeheartedly recommend Andi and Diamond Dog Training.

I can't say enough good things about the experience! Sissy was proving nearly impossible to potty train, but with David's guidance she finally started going outside consistently. He really jump-started her potty training and gave her the foundation she needed for better socialization, which was such a relief since she's a rescue and I had only had her for about a week and a half before the training started. David was so respectful of my home and went above and beyond to keep me comfortable while I was away. He sent daily text updates (often multiple times a day) with photos and videos, which reassured me that Sissy was doing fine and thriving. He was also extremely responsive via text, which gave me such peace of mind. Because Sissy was still scared of humans at the beginning, she wasn't ready to pick up all the commands like sit, stay, and come during the vacation package. But David didn't give up--he signed us up for follow-up obedience classes and even did a private session with me afterward. That's when everything clicked, and Sissy quickly learned her commands and blossomed under his training. I am so grateful for David and Karma Dog Training. Sissy has come so far thanks to their work, and I trust them completely with her care and training.
