I have been to this spa before and had a good experience. This time I went for a gel manicure for a wedding and two days later my nails were chipping off. I have never had that with a gel manicure before - my prior manicures have lasted weeks. I was told by another manicurist that the salons will fix chipping nails. I called and was told they do not do that - they will only book an appointment to re-do the entire manicure. I could not get an appointment before the wedding. Very disappointed. I was thinking about getting a membership here but sadly changed my mind as I do not think I want to return after my experience. read more

Michele was AMAZING - she was super responsive to what I needed and it was SO relaxing. The entire spa is huge, but all super relaxing and zen. The massage that I received was absolutely wonderful, however the individual at the front desk was so unfriendly that I don't plan on going back or nor recommend the place to anyone. If you're in the business to serve customers, it should begin from check in to check out. Mixed feelings about this place. What I like: decent massage in a nice dark quiet room, but honestly it's hard to disappoint me with a massage. What I don't like: their pedicures. Not relaxing, not luxurious, not overly clean.Quality is more like one of those quickie cheap places but for twice as much money. I had a haircut here with a woman who constantly stopped cutting to look at herself in the mirror while she was talking...like she was talking to the girl in the mirror or something. It sounds harmless but it drove me nuts....I wanted to scream and hit her with a brush. I'm fine with stylists who like to talk a lot, but please just be able to talk and cut at the same time. Just for Me spa is everything I ever hoped a day spa could be! The location is beautiful with lots of attention payed to you feeling as if everything really is there Just for You. I am sure there were other clients but it felt as though my mother and I were at our own private cabin (one exception). I had the "Spa Experience" a 5 hour treat of: -whirlpool session (complementary with most services so bring a suit) -massage (mom and I agree, best we've ever had and we've had a few) -facial (beautifully executed by Meaghan, a real professional) -spa lunch -manicure-pedicure Exception: There were two downsides to my day at the Just for Me Spa. The manicure/pedicure room is quite crowded, it's fun to sit with all the ladies but it is not very relaxing. My nail tech was mainly a hairstylist and did not take much interest in my nails. For those of you who have had mani-pedis you know that the best part is the massage, this part was lacking in my service. From the looks of it other nail techs were better about this and I am willing to chalk it up to my stylist having a bad day. I would not recommend getting a nail service here. Secondly I am vegan and called ahead to request a vegan meal for my 'spa lunch'. I will agree with most of the reviews in saying that the service could definitely be friendlier on the phone and they were not helpful on the phone in procuring me a vegan meal. However, once we were there and I was served the lunch (I did not eat it, I had brought my own) the women were very apologetic and said that next time I could tell them and they would do a better job. I made an appointment with friends for the salt cave on a Saturday afternoon. It's only $19 for first time visitors. We arrived early and were led into a serene waiting room with Himalayan salt foot warmers and comfortable recliner chairs. There was water to drink and calming music. After a bit, we were led into the salt cave. We were given booties to wear on our feet and blankets. We each picked a chair and laid back. They then turned off the lights and left us to relax for about 40 minutes. It was an incredibly relaxing experience - I think everyone in the room fell asleep. The spa itself is lovely and they offer a ton of great services. I will absolutely be back. My only two suggestions for the salt cave would be to play the recording about the benefits of salt therapy before our time starts as it's long and cuts into the relaxation time. I also think sessions should be an hour instead of 45 minutes. Other than that, what a great experience! Oh and they're right next to Nelson's ice cream if you want a treat after. read more

I went there for a girlfriends getaway. We spent the night in their cottage rental and then enjoyed the Serenity Experience the next day. First off, everyone was very friendly and professional when we checked in. They knew who we were and had everything ready for us. The cottage was huge and beautiful. They even have Aveda shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. In the spa itself, I really enjoyed the Salt Cave. Was not what I asked for... When I booked my massage appointment, I asked TWICE to be booked with someone who can do deep work (because that's what I need to relax - lighter touch often actually tenses me up). She assured me that she was booking me with someone who could do deep work. So, when I was on the table and asked the massage therapist to work deeper, she told me she would try but that she doesn't do deep work. Then she told me I should ask for that when I make the appointment, WHICH I HAD DONE! I was too achy and too tired from a long week to make a fuss. I figured any touch was better than no touch. But $120 + tip later, and I left not feeling much better for it. To be fair, I think the massage I received would probably have been pure bliss for someone like my spouse who enjoys lighter work. But for me it was disappointing because it wasn't what my body needs and it wasn't what I asked for when booking. I walked away feeling like I didn't get what I had paid for and my shoulders still hurt and ache for deep work to be done on them. read more

The services were extremely overpriced for what you get. And they have no consideration at all when it comes to wanting a cancellation. We went in with a group of 10. At check-in, we were told we needed to have one person pay for all 10 participants. This was not relayed to us when we scheduled the appointment. The receptionist did accommodate us though as we were not told. We were also forced to pay 20% gratuity for the group of 10. There was no service provided other than telling us to sit in the serenity room and wait, then follow the person to the locker room and go sit and the salt room. The employee told us to sit back and listen to an annoying recording and she'd be back in 45 minutes to open the door. There was no service that deserved a 20% gratuity charge. The Serenity Room and Salt Room were great and served us well for relaxation and additional benefits of halotherapy. read more

I needed to wait to give Just For Me a review as I was extremely upset, and sad about what happened, and what was supposed to be a grand weekend with my daughters. Time has passed and I feel it is important for the public to know what happened with my reservation so others can be aware and prepare for a visit with this business. I began plans for the cottage stay and spa package on July 12th for a 60th birthday celebration the weekend of October 2nd. I called on July 12th to confirm openings and verified if pricing was accurate on their website. Also talked about Covid and cancellation. I checked in with my daughters to verify they could get the weekend to join me. I called back on July 13th and book 1 night at in the cottage, put down a substantial deposit, got a little bit more information about the spa packages. Also, I have my credit card charges, dates and phone records. I called back on July 16th and was on the phone for 15 minutes booking three Spa Experiences for $285 a person, less tips. The person on the phone took the full names of my daughters. She gave me these times. Salt Cave - 9am Facials - 10 am Lunch - 11:45 Massages - 12:15 We booked it all. Talked about what we wanted for lunch and the timing of the events. During this phone call I also booked another evening in the cottage. Again, we had a very detailed discussion and confirmed booking the spa and cottage stay. At 1pm July 16th I received an email message from Just For Me with confirmation dates for the stay incorrect and only for the cottage stay. At 4pm that same day, I called them again. Call #4 informing them I received an email for the incorrect dates and no spa. The person on the phone told me that was just a computer glitch and to ignore it. She said everything was booked and ok. The down payment for the extra night stay hit my credit card immediately and I took her word that everything was booked and ok. Fast forward to September 29th, and a phone call I put in to Just For Me to confirm our stay and spa treatments for the coming weekend. I left a message. I received a call from the owner Heidi. In short, they did not book the spa treatment and had no openings for the full spa experience I booked. She kept saying, we do not have this in the system repeatedly while I got more and more upset. Basically, accusing me of not booking the time. I have phone records and specific times I kept saying. I was on the phone four times. She became condescending and rude. She did not apologize once. She kept saying, Katie... now listen, it is not in the system. I did not book through a system, I booked through multiple phone calls and through a person. As a thoughtful business owner, she never took responsibility for what would have been close to a $1800 weekend lost and most important the disappointment of three customers. After a loud conversation she said she would refund me my down payment of approx. $325. I received a refund receipt via email but no notice on my ccard of the refund. I had to call my ccard company to get my refund back. Just For Me sent me a receipt but did not officially send that forward to my ccard. Probably another computer glitch. Bottom-line, be careful making your bookings with this spa. Get your confirmations and do not take just their word for granted. You MUST get an email confirmation of everything whether they tell you everything is ok or not. I did not get to experience what should have been an amazing weekend and at fun venue... from what I hear. I would not recommend patronizing this business because of the rudeness of the owner. She had no remorse and took no responsibility for what happened. Heidi did not apologize until I called back and accepted the refund. I told her that is what she should have started with as a good business owner. From there she told me I needed to learn how to talk on the phone. read more

Been coming here for most of my life. Never took the time to say how great of a place it is. My girlfriend and I came there today for a couple massage and felt transported to a place of peace of tranquility. Cannot recommend it enough. Always arrive 30 minutes early for that often overlooked complementary 30 minute whirlpool session that loosens the muscles. The waiting room is fantastic too. Relaxing music, their amazing Aveda tea that's worth purchasing on it's own, and other drinks too! Do yourself a favor and go there. read more

This is by far the best spa around the Twin Cities. The dwelling inside and out is inviting and relaxing. There is a genius behind the creation of those rooms. Perfect for a winter day. I purchased a spa day for myself and my friend. Whirlpool, salt cave, invigorating body wraps. Excellent customer service from the therapist. The only reason I didn't rate a 5 star was because and heed my warning, the 6 stacked on top of eachother metal lockers nearly fell on top of me, I caught them before toppling over. They don't ask, they assume. My body wrap, done by Elissa, was phenomenal. Would go back for that, but only that... This place seriously overcharges for mani/pedi treatments. In addition, they have identified an issue with doing a mani after other body treatments that causes your nail polish to pull away from the cuticle, but haven't figured out how to fix it. My nail tech did offer to repaint, but since they didn't know why it was happening or how to avoid it, I certainly wasn't going to sit there for another 20 minutes while she redid it only to have it pull away again. Then as you are sitting there you become aware how filthy the pedi room is. My goodness people, clean behind the chairs!! Gross! Although I loved my body wrap (Thanks Elissa!), I did not receive the return on my investment at this spa, and therefore it is unlikely that I will return. read more

I was there over the weekend for a pedi with family. The pedicure itself and the atmosphere was wonderful, however the paint job of the nail Polish was awful. They painted my toes with my shoes on and when I got up to walk away the polish smudged instantly. They offered to fix it and did but when I got up again it smudged again before I even left the building. Later when I looked closer at my nails you could see where she had touched them up and they looked like crap. read more

The first time we went the service was great and the massages were great. Since then, the front desk staff has been unfriendly and rude, although the massages by a few of the gals have still been really great. The only reason to go here is for the massages -- but only with a few of the gals. I have been to numerous spas and have worked at two 5 star spas, and have honestly just been very disappointed by the very poor customer service -- from not saying hello when we walk in, to being irritated that we do not know which waiting room to sit at, to complaining that we showed up 7 minutes late on accident. I purchased the Couples Escape for $375 + tip for my fiance and me in February. It was rather expensive but the facial was very nice. However, I do not recommend this place because of a rather unfortunate experience that happened after the fact. I just called Just For Me to purchase a similar package for my sister and me for her 30th birthday. I was looking at the packages on the website while I was on the phone with their manager Jennifer(name?) and I noticed that I had never received the Spa Gift Package that was supposed to come with my Couples Escape package. I mentioned this to her as I was about to book my next package and she said there was nothing she could do about it because it was after the appointment date. I told her that I was just now looking closer at the description of the package and that she could look in her computer schedule to see that I was, in fact, there previously (plus on my Visa bill!). She said sorry she could not give me the Spa Gift at this time. Again I assured her that I was not trying to cheat her, only obtain what should have been given to me by her receptionist upon checkout. She was unwilling to help me. I am a frequent spa-goer of spas around the Twin Cities and I chose not to make my appointment with Just For Me for my sister's birthday because of this. This is the first time I have not recommended a spa. I am very upset over this treatment considering I spent $450+ and was about to spend another $400 if she hadn't been so unaccommodating. We all left saying the massage and facial were the best we've ever had. Of particular note, I had injured my back a few days earlier and thought I would have to cancel my message because of the pain. Great location and I had a fairly pleasant time but there were some things that were just disappointing and uncomfortable for the price and quality that is marketed. I've been to many wonderful spas all over the country so I know what a great spa is and what elements make it a wonderful experience. Overall the customer service wasn't very good and the facilities were a bit run down. Things like the check in process that are the first moment that make you feel welcomed just weren't good. The woman who checked me in barely looked up from the computer, didn't say welcome, or smile. She just seemed to bothered with my presence. From the perspective of making appointments and entering the service, the website didnt match the Services offered (like there is no sauna even though it says there is) and the physical environment needs some improvements. There are plastic shower curtain rods and severely worn tiles in the shower, dingy dirty plastic shelves in the whirlpool area, stacks of sheets lining the hallways that just don't convey a high quality spa or merit the prices. I used the salt cave and it was wonderful and the best part of my visit. When it was over the lights come on immediately, the door opens and the front desk person stood there like a character out of The Hand Maids Tale silent and waiting with no greeting, asking how it was or if I enjoyed it. It just felt uncomfortable. There are also some great things like the fireplaces, and lemon water and I heard several women being called by name which was nice. It's the detailed touchpoints that make the experience though. I ran into several other woman who said the same things so maybe the front desk person was just having a bad day. read more
