I wish we found this place the first day we arrived to Peabody, Boston. Is little, cozy, and welcoming coffee shop. We had a long order to place from coffee to food, and believe me is like made at home. Quality of food and service went down tremendously. Used to be very friendly older women working there but now it's a bunch of lazy teenagers who don't know what customer service is. Tried coming here a few weeks ago and made an online orders just to find out when I got there that they closed for the weekend. I won't be returning! read more

Great breakfast spot. We weren't hungry this morning but the coffee is delish! This morning mom tried the hazelnut brew hot and I tried the Milky Way iced coffee. What a fortuitous find! While assisting a client at a hotel, he was asked to leave by management and Peabody Police (Thank you again PPD for keeping the community safe!) Anyway, missed the bus and was wandering about looking for somewhere to keep warm during the hour long wait for bus. I stumbled upon this gem! Was walking in for a coffee and saw a rather large menu of offerings I selected the sriracha chicken sandwich... First off, the staff are all friendly and hip! The music is pretty good man! I'd say 50s-60s and who doesn't like these eras?! The sandwich: bread so fresh only thing missing is the warmth of "just out of the oven", the chicken cutlets were nice and tender and not dry, the bacon, an often skimped on ingredient to a sandwich, was plentiful, crisp, and just the way bacon should be, the heat from the sriracha was good enough for most, however I do like it rather spicy! Of course, as I am writing this review, I am devouring the evidence, so no pic ‍ If you're ever in the area and hunger hits, you'd be incredibly neglectful to your taste buds if you don't put this into GPS and pop in for quite an experience! My tastebuds are rejoicing and celebrating at the moment, and they just don't do that at the "normal" haunts for food! Great job everyone...from order taker, to cook, to baristas and beyond! Their small sandwiches were huge, I can't imagine what the large are like. I had the tuna melt which felt like it had two cans of white tuna. The tuna salad didn't have any chopped celery, but I was able to add tomato and pickle. The mayo was only slightly runny, which is good. Unfortunately they had run out of white and sour dough, early for a Saturday lunch, but I'm happy with wheat. It's counter service with food brought to your table. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Definitely a great value with lots of choices on the menu. read more

I'm so disappointed in the quality of food and service that just in time cafe now has. This was once my favorite place. Now the quality is not as good. I ordered an Italian sandwich on a nice braided roll like I quite often do and they gave me an Italian sub. If a sub was what I was looking for I would order one. read more

Seperate section for breakfast choices remainder of listings are more brunch/lunch types with many hot and cold items , sandwiches, panini, lattes and steamers and smoothies and more. Counter staff are " mature" and pleasant. Kitchen is fast ,plenty of tables as well as many takeout customers. My chcken Cordon Blue panini was served on slightly toaster light rye with thick slices of chicken and ham with melted cheese, served with a small bag of chips. A steady flow of takeout patrons came and went while the kept calling out names for pickup. There were 7 tables occupied with diners . I order a bacon egg and cheese w avocado all the time and it's always amazing. I was in town for work at a facility just next door to the strip mall where this cafe is located. Convenient for me as I didn't have to get in the car. The menu board is chalk full of choices. I asked the person in front of me what they usually get and he said their smoothies. I was wanting a meal, so I opted with the lunch combo (1/2 sandwich and small salad) and added a cup of soup. I choose the California BLT and greek salad with the tomato feta soup. All 3 for $12. Soup was fantastic. The avocado on the BLT was not ripe (I could tell it had been refrigerated), so I tossed it aside. Good BLT and decent salad. The cafe was cute and they had decorations up for fall/Halloween. For a quick in and out lunch that is budget friendly and will fill you up this is a good spot. read more

Really great little place to grab a quick bite to eat. My son went to daycare across the street which is how I discovered it. Ordering online has been super convenient and my order is always ready on time. I've gotten hot sandwiches for lunch, breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. Went to grab a quick lunch with my father yesterday. He works around the corner a few times a month and he comes up from CT so occasionally we will meet up to have a nice meal together. I can tell you that Just In Time Cafe won't be a place we visit again. We ordered two garden salads, one with chicken, and two bottles of water. Nothing fancy. Veggies were fresh, chicken was very bland. But, I wasn't expecting much because it's simply a salad! What turned us off was the awful service. We ordered at the corner, found an empty (dirty) table, cleaned it, and sat down. Because I don't see my dad often, we immediately struck up a conversation. We weren't staring into our phones or watching tv. We were obviously talking to each other. So, when we heard the woman at the counter shouting my father's name across the restaurant, she had apparently already said it a few times but we hadn't heard her while we were talking. We will take the blame for not paying full attention. What we won't take the blame for is the absolutely inappropriate nasty look this woman gave my father as he stood up to get our food. I was blown away. Her look of utter disgust and annoyance, paired with such a lovely eye roll almost made my jaw drop to the ground. Other patrons also saw her response and looked back at me in surprise. What bothers me even more is I wasn't shy about vocalizing my surprise about her reaction. The man at the register heard me say something and made eye contact with me a few separate times. I can't imagine he didn't see my disappointment, so when he turned around and said something to the woman and she shrugged her shoulders while he looked back at me and then never once took a second to apologize for the behavior, I was just so shocked . I get it. We didn't hear you and you don't offer table service. Call my name a few times. If I don't hear you or respond, it seems as though you have two reasonable choices: A. Walk ten steps around the counter and bring us our food. Or B. Leave our food there and move onto the next guest. Eventually we will wonder where our food is and we will pause our conversation and get off our butts to get our food. But to make faces and just be downright disrespectful is a very good way to lose business. I support local businesses as often as possible, especially when it comes to restaurants. You mess up a meal - no problem. It happens. I'll come back and give it another shot. You take too long to bring my food (table service), again no worries. Spill a drink on me? Not the end of the world. All of these things deserve another chance. But to be a downright child and make faces at a patron simply because they didn't hear you is just not worthy of another chance. read more

I live right down the street and was looking for a very good breakfast spot that was quick. My husband and I love grabbing their breakfast sandwiches, coffees, and smoothies. We can't seem to try anything else because those items are just too good. I've had nothing but good customer service. Some days I like to place my order online and pick it up before my fun drive into Boston. I place my order online before I leave my house and by the time I get there (6-8 mins) it is ready and waiting. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that. My only complaint is that you're not open on Sunday coffees and sandwiches! However, we understand and wouldn't ding your score because of that. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars because the food is good. Service is on the friendly side. The downside is there's a friendly but very chatty younger lady and she's really sweet but too chatty and spacey. My panini has been a bit too burnt or soggy cause she forgot to give me my order even though I had been waiting for 15 minutes. Which left my panini steaming in the bag. This is a super cute place I just found browsing Yelp this morning looking for a place to eat. It was super close by my friends house, so I decided to take the quick drive to try it. I was pleasantly surprised! I love trying cute, small places like this. I really believe that small, seemingly family owned businesses like this really have the best food and customer service. My friend and I got breakfast sandwiches and lattes. The portions were very big (didn't snag a picture, I was too busy enjoying my sandwich), and the latte was very good. Although I took my food to go, the inside of the place was super aesthetically pleasing! So I'm a delivery driver and when I went in they had me wait in line to ask if it was ready....a strange thing to do given that it makes my customer and me wait unessessarily especially if the food is ready. So I respectfully asked to speak to the manager( who's the co-owner w/her husban) about this and she explained the policy. I didn't agree obviously and told her that but id they wanna do that its their establishment. However, later once the order was ready the other owner, her husband, took issue with asking about this policy and said i was being rude and had attitude. I said that wasn't true and I already addressed the issue and would like to get the order and be on my way. He however continued to repeat his accusations and refused to give me the now-ready food. He eventually gave le the food after several repeated askings to give me the food and he threatened to ban me. Rude, unprofessiona, and not interested in customer service.
