Chai Tea Latte, pumpkin latte and caramel macchiato
    Erika U.

I wish we found this place the first day we arrived to Peabody, Boston. Is little, cozy, and welcoming coffee shop. We had a long order to place from coffee to food, and believe me is like made at home. We order couple scrabble eggs with spinach and mushrooms bowls, and it was just like made at home, drinks were pumpkin latte, chai latte and caramel macchiato and a double espresso macchiato these drinks were a lot tastier than going to Starbucks, one of the many reasons why I love supporting local coffee shops...the barista brought out coffee to the table and food is was ready to go in no time To Hayley and her team...from Californian travelers and forest time in Boston Peabody, thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our heart and to make us feel home with the delicious breakfast and the amazing smiles and courtesy

Great breakfast spot. We weren't hungry this morning but the coffee is delish! This morning mom tried the hazelnut brew hot and I tried the Milky Way iced coffee. Breakfast sandwiches and bowls are very reasonably priced. Store is cute and meant to be a place to hang out to work or visit with friends.

Staying close by at a hotel and needed some non-hotel coffee in the AM. Stumbled across "Just in Time Cafe" on yelp and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly, and the coffee was absolutely delicious. Will try to come back and try one of their delicious looking sandwiches!

I'm so disappointed in the quality of food and service that just in time cafe now has. This was once my favorite place. Now the quality is not as good. I ordered an Italian sandwich on a nice braided roll like I quite often do and they gave me an Italian sub. If a sub was what I was looking for I would order one.

.new to me large bright facility with large (!!) Menu board listing many many choices. Seperate section for breakfast choices remainder of listings are more brunch/lunch types with many hot and cold items , sandwiches, panini, lattes and steamers and smoothies and more. Counter staff are " mature" and pleasant. Kitchen is fast ,plenty of tables as well as many takeout customers. My chcken Cordon Blue panini was served on slightly toaster light rye with thick slices of chicken and ham with melted cheese, served with a small bag of chips. A steady flow of takeout patrons came and went while the kept calling out names for pickup. There were 7 tables occupied with diners . All in all an excellent place for a quick lunch with a very extensive selection.

The coffee is really well-made, though if you're ordering one of their specialty drinks, just a heads-up that they lean a little on the sweeter side. As for the food, the portions are huge! We ordered a side of bacon and I'm pretty sure we ate about 10 pieces and still left with a box. While the pancakes were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time to make room for new items, the rest of the meal was solid enough to keep me coming back. One thing you have to try is their signature ketchup. It's super interesting--almost like a cross between American Ketchup and Asian Banana Ketchup. We definitely needed a few extra helpings of ketchup for our eggs and hash bowl! The atmosphere is such a vibe, too; it has this modern-meets-ranch feel with a super cute rooster mural on the wall that ties it all together. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. It's a great spot to fuel up for the day!

Ughhh *insert SHOCKED face here!*…read more I am truly shocked and confused at the hype surrounding the 3-way roast beef sandwich and cult following it has as I couldn't figure out what was supposed to be so "special" about it that people wait in line so long for it... My husband and I arrived about an hour before this place opened on a Saturday, and the line for this sandwich was already forming outside. By the time we got inside, the line was down the street/around the corner! There are no sandwich sizes. It's pretty much a size "super beef" on an onion roll with the classic sauce, mayo & cheese. I watched the staff grab softball-sized handfuls of beef, pile it onto the buns and top it with sauce using a ladle. It was quite the operation! You can tell the fresh, rosy-pink, soft & flavorful beef is very high quality BUT the sandwich overall was not as impressive as I expected it to be in relation to the hype. I've had others where I was blown away by the taste/flavor after the first bite which is what I expected here, but it did not happen! Don't get me wrong, it was still a good/decent legitimate North Shore roast beef sandwich, but certainly NOT worth waiting in line for (in my opinion). You can get just as good of a sandwich (if not better) from other roast beef establishments without the lines/wait!

I ordered at the counter and took the 2 top high table right by the window. I ordered the House Dog and a side of waffle fries that came with their house made honey ketchup. The food was ready pretty quickly and it looked really good as I brought it back to my table. The House dog is listed as being topped with chopped bacon, grilled onions and their spicy pub style mustard. Overall it was really good. The onions weren't as cooked as much as I would have liked them to be and some of the onion pieces were pretty big. I thought the mustard was great and really wanted more of that on the dog. I know it looks like plenty in the picture but I still wanted more. The bun was that perfect split top New England bun that was perfectly toasted on both sides. The fries were good. Well-seasoned. I couldn't tell that anything was different about the ketchup. I did want more than what was given in the little portioned cup that they provided. I'd return to Chicken & The Pig and I'd definitely try other hot dog variations and definitely get one of the chicken sandwiches.

The pickles were more noticeable than the hots, but easy to adjust next time. The cheese tasted better as it went along, probably getting closer to room temperature where it really shines. --- The flavors and textures were all impressive with the one exception of the ciabatta-- a little on the firm side, but that could be symptomatic of my late Sunday visit. I give them a pass for that and applaud this VERY good sandwich. --- Incredible value! Always good and generous amount. I was there quite often. I did stop going there when ownership changed because of a number of different reasons which I will not get into. Then the new owner returned..YAY and I was very happy when the original owners returned and I stopped and ordered my usual. Was I surprised to see that it rang up to $19. and change. I could not believe that my salad which had ice burg lettuce (not expensive) and (chicken -also not expensive) was out of site in it's price jump. How can you justify charging a customer that much? I will not be returning and told all my work friends and they will not return. I do understand when prices of goods go up you pass it along to your customers. However, not every item has gone out of site for cost with the increased that you made for each item. Expecting someone to pay that much for a simple salad with chicken, feta and a side of pita bread to cost close to $20-- that is INSANE. There used to be many cars parked in your lot with people picking up their orders. I drive by there everyday on my way home and maybe 1 or 2 cars if that are there now. You are pricing yourself out of business. No one wants to pay those kind of prices for meals on the go. We are not being served at a semi fancy restaurant just a to go meal. I am sorry that you have inflated your prices or kept them don't know about your previous owner but come on. The average person is not going to spend that kind of money for their family to eat take out. Several people I know have stopped picking up food from your place. Something you should think about as you go forward with less and less customers. Why do you think McDonald's has changed their menu and is now offering lower costs. Sometimes owners have to cut their profits in these times of higher costs to keep their customers. Just my two cents. I have no negatives to say about your food...although I haven't gone back to check out any of the new items.
