I was working on a training program in the area, and looking for a quick, QUALITY bite to eat for lunch, nothing too heavy. Found this place, drove over and it's a cute little shop right above the ocean. The cafe is really cute and homey, the people are super nice, and most of all, they have so many delicious options. They have plenty of bakery and pastry items, as well as a menu for all their breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I went for the Rachie, obviously, as I was craving avocado. Piles of turkey with provologne cheese, spinach, tomato, avocado, mayo, on a toasted everything bagel. I'm not too big on hot sandwiches but they toasted it and I don't think it could have turned out any better! Full of flavor, ingredients, and the type of place you WANT to spend your money, and will not regret it! They clearly care about the presentation of Cove Cafe, the food quality is made with care, and I'll definitely be returning!

Nice little cafe with a great selection of sandwiches. I got the BLT with avocado added on which was huge and delicious. My fiancé had the Cuban sandwich which he also liked, on a ciabatta roll from an Italian bakery in Gloucester. Delicious and fast service!

    Acai Bowl was delicious!

Had breakfast and coffee. Was able to get seats inside (there were 5 total). Breakfast sandwiches were good and plentiful.

Good matcha latte. The pastry was good, too. Intend to order a quiche in future when having friends over

This was a spur of the moment find on our way to Hammond Castle (also well worth a visit). We were…read morehangry and looking for breakfast-ish options and Source Bakery more than hit the spot. Their menu is centered around the almighty biscuit - biscuits/scones are one of my favorite ways to inhale carbs but they can run on the too bread-y side of the spectrum. These were fantastic: delicate crumb, beautiful golden color, and sturdy enough to hold in all the sandwich fillings. I went with the classic breakfast egg sandwich (scrambled egg, cheese, and arugula) and added sausage. This was one of those rare situations where the bread vehicle outshined the fillings. The egg, while nice and fluffy (and tasted like real egg instead of the diluted mix I've had elsewhere), could have used some more seasoning and was begging for a healthy dollop of ketchup or hot sauce. The only thing that came through strongly was the salt crystals on the top of the biscuit. Tried a bite of my husband's chicken salad on a cheddar/onion biscuit and had the same reaction - the biscuit overpowered everything else. Not that I'm complaining. The bakery is on a side street off the busier, more touristy Rogers Street. I had this idea too late but next time I'm in Gloucester, I'd take a biscuit sandwich to the beach area along Western Ave. The cafe itself is very, very cute, with little nooks and crannies everywhere for seating and even a comfy looking couch. Bathroom was clean. We found a parking lot one street over in the other direction.

We had the sausage, goat, cheese, and arugula biscuit sandwich. It was amazing. We also had the miso breakfast sandwich, which was also excellent though it is just served on regular bread, which isn't anything remarkable. We also got a monkey bread which we had gotten before, and it was delicious. They also recommended a sweet hand pie, and we got the apple one. It was also excellent - not too sweet, not heavy, just flaky goodness. This is an absolute five star experience worth every bite of saturated fat, salt, and sugar!!
