Spend your $100+ someplace else. This low rating is because of our experience on Sunday, 03/22/26 with your hostess (the older lady who seats guests). I will give her a zero rating if I could. We're regulars and usually drive 40 minutes just to get your chicken and waffles, so this was really disappointing. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, which was totally fine. But once we were seated, the hostess kept bothering us--first over being seated just 5 minutes early, and then again while we were still finishing our coffee, telling us other people were waiting. We ended up eating and leaving less than 1 hour, so it's not like we were taking up the table for a long time. What made it worse was that no other tables were treated this way, which made us feel singled out and honestly pretty uncomfortable. We had brought friends with us for the first time, and unfortunately this experience left a bad impression and ruined the visit. Just plain Rude! read more

Ordered real maple syrup with it, which was nice. Coffee happened to be excellent. I usually get a latte, but here got regular coffee. So tasty. Nice and strong. I miss the way some places come by to top off your coffee and keep it warm. Nice touch. I am struggling through a cold with a nasty cough. A very nice person brought me a cup of boiling hot water to breathe in. Something I do that helps my coughing a lot. Vita, without asking, brought it to me and it stopped the coughing right away. The place was hopping for a Monday, but had no problem getting a seat. The food was amazing my friend got the egg scramble special which was very tasty. I got eggs,sausage, French toast with a side of grits. The cheese grits were my top pick cheesy like Mac and cheese but as creamy as mash potatoes so good. Just enjoyed a delicious brunch in this friendly neighborhood spot. At 11:30 on a Sunday we were seated quite quickly in spite of the long line ahead of us. We found the restaurant to be amazingly quiet in spite of the cafe tables and jolly crowd of all ages. The pancakes were light and fluffy with a choice of add-ons (chocolate chips, blueberries, etc). I enjoyed the best Avocado Toast I've ever had. Though it appeared simple and unadorned, it was very tasty and was served with a sharp knife for cutting the toast. Super nice people and even though they had a waiting line each morning, it passed quickly. They have plenty of staff on hand and it's like a ballet with each having a job to do. This is obviously a local favorite, as many of our fellow customers were greeted with "good to see you" or "how have you been?" It a nice little diner, with plenty of seating, including a bar so easy to find a seat even if you are solo. Husband had the cinnamon French toast and I got to try a bite,,,delicious. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, which is a little different than a classic Monte Cristo..this was a turkey ham and cheese on French toast. It was so good! The portions are generous so be prepared to take home some left overs. We highly recommend. read more

The food is wonderful and these are probably the best pumpkin pancakes I have had. Fluffy and very flavorful. Portions are big, so if you aren't hungry, you may want to share or be prepared to take some home. They are one of the few restaurants to serve brewed unsweet tea so that was awesome. My Healthy Scrambles platter consisted of 3 beaten egg whites with spinach, tomatoes, and avocado. The accompanying whole wheat toast tasted like real bakery bread, rather than slices of a loaf off of a grocery store shelf. The waffles are excellent- crispy outside and fluffy inside with good flavour. The chicken fingers are clearly house-made and big. The berry waffle is topped with a bunch of fresh blueberries, strawberries and bananas. The staff are always friendly and efficient.
