In my quest to support and highlight independent eateries, Just Judy's, is one of my favorites. The food is delicious, the place is small (12 tables inside) and occasionally a few tables are outdoors. The bigger tables seat 8 people. It's a place with lots of regular customers. The customers not only know the staff; they know each other. Their food is delivered through Grub Hub. It's breakfast and lunch only. They close at 1:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Sundays. It's not fancy. It's a generous portion of food for the money. They've been at this location 14 years for a reason! read more

I work nights and was happily surprised to see this spot open. Hard to find places open before 8 am. It's a chill place and apparently a hangout spot for cops. As I said not many places are open early morning. Service was quick and the food was great. Portions are decent and the pricing is not bad. Feels homey and the don't skip the salsa, it's definitely a must try! Pairs perfectly with anything egg or meat. Added this spot to my list and it's not far from me...just further north than work but worked out well. read more

Service was really good, has a small diner feel. Breakfast only on Sunday; every other day serves both breakfast and lunch. I got a breakfast bowl with potatoes instead of hash browns and cinnamon raisin bread. The raised bread was the best part. Thick slices of bread loaded with butter cinnamon and sugar. The bowl was ok. The meat was very ground beef, with thin slices of potatoes... just seemed a little out of place. But it was good, I ate some and saved some for the next day. I think the thing that is special is that our server was a grand daughter in law of Judy. It's nice to see a family business carry on the legacy. Now I did see some other patrons order some HUGE sandwich, it might have been a BLT or a breakfast burger... but wow it looked good. read more

A cozy little dive cafe. Met my daughter for breakfast and we're the only occupants at 8:00 am on a Wednesday. By 8:40 the place was filling up. We both ordered coffee which was excellent and basic orders of scrambled eggs, bacon & toast. Simple but perfectly prepared. A good place for a good meal and a fair price and am quiet enough for conversation. Staff are very efficient and pleasant. read more

This is a hidden gem! i have been eating here for years and have never been disappointed ..ever. The food is phenomenal and the wait staff is also..become a frequent diner and they will know you as soon as you walk in the door. Prices are excellent and I'm really not sure how Judy keeps them so reasonable! Try the Shelly Melt for a new spin on a patty melt! The tots are the best of anywhere I have tried them. And the breakfasts are amazing..the biggest and best BLT awaits you if you dare..don't worry they have a smaller one for the timid!! They are small and cook when you order..domn't be surprised to see a line waiting on the weekends but please don't let that deter you from what I'm sure will be a new favorite place of yours!! read more

Just Judy's is a classic neighborhood breakfast joint that will transport you back to the 90's. The menu has all the staples and is reasonably priced. I love the simplicity, welcoming service, and Midwestern hometown feel. They are the type of sweet spot that offer daily specials handwritten on a menu board and prefer cash (but still take card). Always a good meal anytime we stop in.. so we went yesterday around 1:00 pm (keep in mind they close at 2 pm) but they got the 4 of us in, fed us in a timely manner with a great attitude! Our first visit to Just Judy's for breakfast on a Sunday, and it did not disappoint. Basic egg, toast, sausage, and potatoes breakfast but was very, very good. Next time will try the sliced fried potatoes with the onions and peppers, although they were very good. Our server gave us a small bowl of gravy to try and it was delish! I highly recommend this place. Have eaten here probably 80 times over 20 years and every time, consistently good. I recommend the BLT Burger. It is huge and flavorful. My wife and I will split it and we both are full. Service is always good and everyone is very nice. read more

Stopped in here, my second day in Indianapolis looking for that diner again. I was there not long after they open so it wasn't really busy. I sat at the counter since it was just by myself. Waitress was pretty friendly. They definitely had really good coffee And I also saw their name on the bag. I got a breakfast bowl with jalapeños, onions and several other fixings. It was extremely good. This is a neat little diner with very nice decor. There were several takeout orders as I was eating so that is a big thing for them. Situated in a strip mall along 62nd & Binford along with Blind Owl Brewery, Just Judy's is a little breakfast spot I have been planning on visiting for years. I love little diners or hometown spots so this definitely fits the bill. There are 4 outdoor tables and the porch has ceiling fans and hanging plants to make it feel homey. I also love that each of the table sets outside is a different style of patio table. I ordered a #5 which is corned beef and eggs with hashbrowns and a side of gravy to go with the biscuit. The hash was not homemade but it was very good. The sausage gravy was homemade but the biscuit wasn't. If and when I return, I personally would stay away from the hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. Eggs were soft and pillowy and had light cheese, delicious. I had iced tea which was just the way I like it, but mind you only one refill and at $3.45, I think that is the most I have spent anywhere on iced tea. The waitresses are very friendly and efficient at their job. Since it was my first tome, Denise checked on me múltiple times and gave suggestions and information. She made sure I had tea to go and a box for my eggs and hash. She also brought me a carryout menu. I will definitely come back. read more

Disappointed! The service was good. The atmosphere was fine, a typical neighborhood coffee shop! The food was very average. My pancakes were not hot! Hash browns were not very special. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's about 20 minutes driving out from downtown Indy, so if you don't have a car - it may not be for you. I struggle with 3 or 4 stars. Very basic breakfast ( stuff you can easily make at home ). The price is very good though. Space inside is tight but clean. Husband ordered a cheese omelet with bacon and white toast. He didn't get any bacon inside his omelet just cheese. I got scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Wow! If you haven't been here stop what you are doing and go now. This is a small spot in a strip mall, simple and good. No, really good. Even though the space is small they fit in enough seating to get you in, fed, and happy. The service is friendly and prompt and the food was oh so darn good. I ordered a BLT with a side of tater tots! I love tater tots! They are the worlds best catsup transportation device I know. The BLT was perfectly prepared and there was about one pound of bacon on this sandwich! I am not kidding. I could only eat about half of the sandwich and the tots and it made for an amazing second meal. My dining companion ordered a breakfast bowl, and yes it is exactly as it sounds. It reminds of much of its more "seasoned" (and white haired) clientele...down home...tested...and all out of cares to give!
