When I checked the receipt, I discovered they had charged me for it without asking or telling me. I went back inside, was immediately refunded, and ultimately worked out a resolution with store management. Today, THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. I bought a battery, paid for it, and was then handed another packet of grease with my receipt as though it were complimentary. Once again, I checked the receipt and found that I had been charged for something I never requested or agreed to purchase. Charging customers for products they did not request or agree to purchase is unlawful, not an upsell (Florida Statute § 501.204). And considering I experienced this exact same practice at this exact same store several years ago, the fact that IT IS STILL HAPPENING makes me seriously question whether this is an isolated employee issue--or a store policy.

Don't let the railroad trails scare you. The do minor things like oil changes and other repairs. Tilo ( I think that is how you spell it) is one of the most honest mechanics you ever want to meet. My hubby sent me here for an oil change and a problem with my car. He told be right off the bat that is was going to be something he couldn't fix and sent me to someone who could. The young gentleman sweeping by the door greeted me but made me wait at the counter for well over a minute before asking what I needed. When I told him I needed key batteries he gave me some story how I needed to open them up myself and that the batteries were on the other side of the store. You could tell by his tone and body language he had no desire to assist me and simply wanted his day to be done. I noticed a lady behind the counter and asked her the same question only to be told in the same lazy I don't want to help you tone they don't do that. You will change a windshield wiper, and do a diagnostic test when you are not qualified mechanics but won't provide customer service to replace a key battery. To blame your laziness on a store policy is lame. Like I said I have visited this location several times for various reasons. This is not the first time I visited for key batteries, this location has changed them before. It is clear this location is losing its vision for top quality customer service. To the two people working the night shift. If your tone and language tell the customer you don't care, the customer will walk out and go somewhere else.
