We immediately felt at home at Benchmark. The staff were welcoming and kind and the lunch we shared with him was delicious. Our dad made friends and participated in many activities. He invited friends to come and visit in his new home. We were all delighted with our decision. We had no idea what March 2020 would bring so we were grateful that Benchmark communicated the health requirements required for Covid 19. We were blessed that they kept the residents safe and healthy. They followed safety protocols and were always available for a call or email with questions or concerns. I would of gave it no stars actually. My father was brought there for rehab which they lied and…read moresaid he wouldn't participate in therapy and needed a family member to help out. When I arrived to do so at the appointment time the therapist suddenly had a family emergency and they canceled it. They also sent paperwork to his insurance saying he wasn't participating. They stole items out of his room and left him there for hours without checking on him. When he was sent to Griffin Hospital he was dehydrated and everything was shutting down and I lost my Dad 3/29/24. I've been getting a bill ever since he passed away for resident amount and he wasn't one. If I had to do all over again I would of never sent him there.

He was brought there on a stretcher, but after two weeks of physical therapy, he was up and running again (ok, maybe not running, but he was walking again). I was impressed with the progress the staff made with my father's rehabilitation. My interactions with the staff were positive and informative. Calendars of actvities are readily available for all to see as visual reminders. Staff is often seen seeking out residents to participate and encouraging them to try something new. Registered dietitians meet with residents/families to ensure the dietary needs are met while there are 3 dining rooms in which to eat your meals. They also provide cooking opportunities for residents to prepare a special dish for their dinners. Energy abounds in this facility following The Planetree Model of care. Rooms are spacious and extremely clean. Wifi/internet is available to all. Visiting hours are 8 am to 8 pm and families and guests are encouraged to spend time with their loved one. I visit almost daily and I have found it to be a very nice place with very caring staff.

My husband and I have both of my parents plus his Father all living at Spring Meadows. They've all…read morebeen there several years now, and it's been a great place for the 3 of them to live. My Father in law has an apartment in Independent Living while both of my parents now live in the Memory Care unit. So we've experienced two different levels of need based care. I've found that the Spring Meadows staffers are very good. The nurses, the aids and even dining room staff really seem to care about the residents and try to make the difference to keep them engaged and make sure they're well cared for. I'll also add that the office staff and the general manager coordinate very well with us, the family members, to help with the details involved of having an aging parent who needs the assistance of this kind of facility. They are always helpful and respond promptly if I call with questions or requests. It's been a blessing to have my parents be able to live at Spring Meadows and get the good care that they need.

My parents enjoy the food as well as the activities which keep them busy. The nurses are collaborative and very helpful. George Dewey, marketing director, helped make the transition smooth for them and has really been instrumental in making it all happen. My sister and I feel very blessed to have found the perfect place for our parents to spend the last years of their lives!
