My grandmother was found covered in vomit and mucus for HOURS because they didn't check on her, in her memory care room!! They don't care about your loved one, they care about the money. They falsely reported giving her medications...but the time stamps were 3 DAYS AFTER SHE PASSED! They worked so hard to cover up many of their actions after her death. Don't walk away....Run. Your loved one deserves dignity, compassion, respect, and above all, care. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN HERE!

He was brought there on a stretcher, but after two weeks of physical therapy, he was up and running again (ok, maybe not running, but he was walking again). I was impressed with the progress the staff made with my father's rehabilitation. My interactions with the staff were positive and informative. My father actually enjoyed his stay here and liked the staff. Overall, it was a positive experience.

When I arrived to do so at the appointment time the therapist suddenly had a family emergency and they canceled it. They also sent paperwork to his insurance saying he wasn't participating. They stole items out of his room and left him there for hours without checking on him. When he was sent to Griffin Hospital he was dehydrated and everything was shutting down and I lost my Dad 3/29/24. I've been getting a bill ever since he passed away for resident amount and he wasn't one. If I had to do all over again I would of never sent him there.

He spent the last week of his life here and was treated with dignity, care, and respect. I noticed that the hospital staff (or volunteers) had crochet butterflies with a short prayer attached to them. The butterflies were placed on his pillow and chest. He looked peaceful. The receptionist at the front desk was sweet and pleasant. She took a photo of all visitors for the temporary badge. The hospice is located in a very peaceful setting, overlooking Long Island Sound. This was actually America's first hospice. The interior was a bit outdated, but the outside view was beautiful and serene. Rest In Peace, David Kniess.

Out of the 3 months, the Aide was here 10 times. When questioned, I was told there was a problem. My parent had no Aide for the entire month of September. When she became in-patient, giving me Respite, I was contacted 3 days in a row. I was asked questions on how to handle my parent. Isn't this Hospice? Shouldn't they know how to handle a dementia patient???? The nurse schedule changes, no consistency. I'm so disappointed in the non-services of CT Hospice.

Mom moved into Carriage Green at Milford in April 2023. My sister and I had checked out a few other…read morefacilities in the area before we chose Carriage Green. We are very happy we did. Mom had lived in the house my dad built for her for over 70 years, so we were a bit anxious about her transition to a new "home". She loved it from day one. She was introduced to other residents who quickly became her friends. They enjoyed all their meals together. She participated in the activities, of which there were plenty. Ice cream socials, Wii Bowling, scenic rides, and Family Feud, just to name a few. Her favorite was the morning exercises. In January, Mom turned 100. We were able to have access to one of the rooms to have a family birthday party for her. Then, when the facility had their monthly birthday celebration, the staff went out of their way to focus on Mom. Cake, decorations, entertainment and even a proclamation from the Mayor of Milford. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone of them did their best to be sure Mom was comfortable and happy. Mom recently passed, but before she did, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was there to make it a beautiful transition. Staff and residents were so attentive, caring and loving up until the very end and after. I will miss the friends I made there. I highly recommend Carriage Green for you or your loved one

Terrible experience having our elderly loved one here after hospitalization. Apathetic "care" and…read moreat times more like basic warehousing. Uncaring, robotic nursing staff, under-responsive supervisors & administrators. It was a nightmare watching our family member languish there while no amount of polite advocating seemed to make any difference. They appeared to be understaffed at most times, and the staff who were on duty were not always trained in the use of the medical equipment needed by our loved one, so we usually had to wait for the nurse supervisor on duty assist, or sometimes other professional therapists who weren't round the clock coverage like respiratory therapists, when we'd have to wait much longer for help. They always had an excuse as to why the persons on duty weren't trained on that equipment ... learned early on that here, like at some other facilities but not all, nurses on duty assigned to direct patient care are all LPNs or PCAs so that is why - some equipment requires RNs or RTs who are fully trained. So sometimes the shift supervisor on the floor who was the RN would have to do the hands on, and they were always so busy so it would have to wait, etc. Too many cost saving measures being employed that poorly affected the patients; more than obvious. Would never recommend. Such terrible memories here for our family.

The staff was wonderful, attentive, kind, and really nice people. This includes all staff I encountered--nurses, CNAs and nursing techs, physical therapists, housekeeping, kitchen and nutrition staff, maintenance, and administrative and medical personnel. The facility is extremely well maintained and clean. Food was very good and ample portions, and special requests were accommodated. Physical therapy was very effective--staff was very encouraging and respectful of my limitations, working toward progress and not over stressing. Nurses and techs were great. Personable and professional. I would go there again.

I reviewed and walked the premises of six different facilities and by far this establishment was the best in my opinion. There's a few reasons why, and I will explain. First off the staff, starting from Janelle and Courtney to the nurse Erin including all the aids made our family feel as though we were part of their family. It's a small establishment which I really appreciated. It made Mom feels though she was actually at home. In closing I want to give thanks to everybody at this establishment that made my mother's final days very peaceful.
